Your Rush ECHO for Monday 4-19-2010

Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Monday, 4/19/10
Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening:   Anniversaries?  76 people died at Waco.
Seg#1:  Why let Bill Clinton rewrite his involvement in Violence?
Bill Clinton and DbM would rather celebrate the OK City bombing;  when he was asked about Waco TX, he said 'go talk to Janet Reno'.  And don't forget Ruby Ridge.  Bill Clinton tries to rewrite history and his role in it.
President Clinton ties are tangible and Talk Radio and Tea Parties ties to violence are imaginary.  Bill Ayers bombed and Obama's entire career is tied to protests and agitation.  Would Bill and Hillary deny they participated with Hippies in their glory days?  Clinton even traveled overseas to protest.
Now DbM/Clinton criticize the protests over bankrupting America.   This Adm steals the earnings of future generations.  At some point the Debt comes due.  [Rush is explaining conversations on the golf course over the weekend.]  Obama will blame Bush again going into 2010 elections.
So they find fraud with Goldman Sachs the day after Obama begins the push for legislation for more regulation and Chris Dodd talks about it on the floor of the Senate.  Goldman Sachs will be glad to pay the little fine and PR hit to be in bed with Democrats/Obama for the next ten years.  [Rush mentions names of Goldman Sachs people now in gov't.]
"Whoa!   Look at the mess [we created] and we now have to fix it."
I remember NRA leader Wayne LaPierre in the 1990s "I think Bill Clinton is willing to put up with a certain level of violence because it allows him to press for anti-gun legislation."
So no they criticize violence that didn't happen with Tea Parties.  They attend peacefully and some in DbM notice that and even call it festive.  Obama and Clinton are former protestors and are now protesting protestors.  They know better than anybody what a treat to an Adm protestors can be.
The next president might be coming out from Tea Parties, they think.
I was accused yesterday of sedition.  Are the people also?  80% of them disapprove of this Adm Agenda.  Accusers also used the term 'Regime'.
>>> ED: The other side will continually tell us whom they fear most.
Seg#2:  Rush Limbaugh is not letting Bill Clinton be Slick Willy
Goldman Sachs refuses to settle with just a fine saying they did nothing illegal.  [Rush thinks they play along w/Obama.]  There is no way this is a coincidence: Barney Frank says it increases chances of regulatory legislation passing.
Bill Clinton ignored Terrorism throughout the 1990s.  He didn't care and didn't want to take on hard issues.  Now, Obama will not even call them terrorists.  Now Bill Clinton lectures us about violence? ((Reading Clinton in his imitation voice: We owe it to remember them.))  "Just put some ice on that lip."  To Juanita Broaddrick.
Obama: "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun."  And Obama taught ACORN how to protest.
>>> In 2008 Bill Clinton said Obama was a Chicago thug.
Seg#3:  Four of five citizens distrust our Government
I wonder if Obama ever heard the Reverend Jeremiah Wright say anything provocative?  "America's chickens have come home to roost", right after 9/11.  Obama said he could not disown his pastor.
[Obama's speech on 'race' with transcript.]
Bill Ayers says he wishes he could have done more than one bombing.
80% of the American people say they lack trust in Big Gov't.  The poll came out yesterday and focuses on Democrats retaining their power.  Instead, AP should ask, "What does this mean for America, not Democrats."  Andrew Cohut is with the Pew Polling,  "Politics has poisoned the well."
More and more people are agreeing with me, as this poll indicates.   Trust in gov't is lower than during the Bush years;   Congress is at an all-time low.  The President of Unity:   why hasn't he stopped falling ash?  Obama stays home to play golf.
I understand they can't fly North and East; but why can't they take off South and West?  They are going to open up airspace tomorrow.
>>> The Volcano could continue for months.
Amid continuing 16% real unemployment, we broke records:
We keep donation-line open:  1-877-379-8888 or
Donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Cure-A-Thon
Seg#4:  Right is peaceful;    Violence is on the Left, like Clinton
The Pew Poll was published to prove we have become a nation of irrational government haters.  This will be a call for Even Bigger Government.  It isn't 'hate' when Democrat agitators criticize gov't.
Feb 12, 2008, Debra Burlingame had an article  on Clinton [violence]
"The Clintons' Terror Pardons"  Clinton didn't act, except pardoning.
I do a better 'Clinton' than even he does now.  ((Montage:  War of Words, Clinton and Limbaugh.  Number One story in politics.))  So that was over the weekend and this morning by media types that got the memo.  They all call it "War of Words".
>>> Let's not forget the Unabomber.  He had Algore's book, highlighted.
Rush says Clinton allowed Jihad but did not participate in violence himself, except for Waco and Ruby Ridge.  Linking Tea Party people is a deception.
Seg#5:  "I am sick and tired . . ."  H.R.Clinton shrieking and yelling
>>> She wanted to redefine the meaning of 'patriotism'.
> Momentum builds as 56% of Americans want to repeal ObamaCare.
Seg#6:  Byron York finds the accusers also used the term 'Regime'
(Theme Music) Remember the ad against "General Betray Us"?  Was that not 'sedition'.  Bill Clinton condemned Republicans for complaining. And remember JFKerry (who served in Vietnam, did you know) calling our military [evil] and testifying in Congress [with lies.]  Was that 'sedition'?
((Clips: Limbaugh talks about this Adm as a Regime.))  Hilamine says there has not been a 'triggering incident' like Waco.  Byron York writes:
"Time's Joe Klein got some attention over the weekend when he said, on "The Chris Matthews Show," that statements from Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are "right up close to being seditious." What received less attention was the statement immediately following Klein's, from New York magazine's John Heilemann, author of the best-seller Game Change. "Joe's right, and I'll name another person," Heilemann said. "You know, name Rush Limbaugh, you know, who uses this phrase constantly, talks about the Obama administration as a 'regime.' That phrase, which has connotations of tyranny."
>>> Remember "The Sopranos"?    "Don't screw with me!"
Seg#7:  Liberalism has always been founded in lies
While we were being blamed for something that hasn't happened, we raised money for our Cure-a-thon.  Violence may come from words of Bill Clinton.
Caller: People slammed Bush Adm overseas.  Bill Maher wanted Adm shot.  We are voicing our opinion and they can't take it. Bill Maher Sorry the Assassination Attempt on Cheney Failed
JFKerry talked about our soldiers in Iraq being murderers, raping. Remember that Bill Clinton's retreat in Samolia inspired bin-Laden to attack on 9/11 because America was a 'paper tiger' and wouldn't fight back.  [Thank God Bush took office.]  [[Did I say that?   or did Rush?   probably both.]]
Caller: At what point did the media stop being watchdogs?
I was discussing that with a friend last night via 'chat'.  Look at how they went after Nixon, LBJ, and even (at times) JFKennedy.  What has driven Liberal Media from sympathizing with Democrats to actively promoting Democrats has been ME.  Let me make the case:  now the press is more interested in defeating me and other Conservatives than they are to watching the Adm.
Now there is no pretense.  They have shown who they have been all along.   If we didn't exist (hypothetically)  they would be behaving far differently towards Obama.  We are putting DbM out of business.  They are not a monopoly like before.  Larry King Alive now finishes behind MessNBC.
It used to be that 80% of America watch Cronkite,, and now it is 15%.
I am not saying that if we were not around they wouldn't be criticizing the Adm.  But they are being slavish in defending Obama against us.  New Media has contributed to Old Media going further in the tank with no pretense of Objectivity.
Understand they power they had, now gone.  Watch them treat me as an enemy of the state, over the weekend.  Liberalism is a lie.   They have now been called on their lie.
>>>   >>   >        They [DbM people] now have their backs up.
Seg#8:  Rush explains why Clinton remains popular in Liberal circles
When I talked about Obama Agenda failing so that America can survive and succeed, DbM took the other side.   The last time I went to the Correspondent's Dinner (I've been to two)  Bill Clinton said they only reason I went after Janet Reno was what she defended a Black guy.  There was a hush, then laughter.  Had that been today they would stand in applause.
The Black guy was John Conyers who showboated being rude to Janet Reno; by contrast I wanted to find out what happened.
eMail to Rush:  They circle the wagons around Clinton, now Obama.
Dirty-little-secret is that media is hardened against us, giving Obama a pass because of us.  No, I am not going to the Correspondence Dinner:  they pretend they like each other for a few hours.  It would all change if I went.
((Clip-Dick-Turbin:  Soviets in their gulags with no concern for human life;  sadly, it was our own Marines.   Etc.))   This talk is on the Left.
Caller: Clinton lied under oath; when was his credibility restored.
Failure is a resume enhancement for Democrats.
>>> They think Clinton beat us.   He had 55% approval numbers.
Segment#9:  Is Obama a Marxist or is he inept?
While distracters accuse, we also raise money for the children of Marines killed in action.  That fund has been extended to firemen and policemen children.  Yet, they implement us as being responsible.  I have no desire to join DbM at dinner.
Obama will visit Los Angeles but people will not be allowed to listen.  He goes to firm up Barbara Boxer with donors.  It will be the kiss of death for her reelection.
Caller: Cindy Sheehan was allowed to protest.  Now I can't?  We are peaceful.   "It's the Economy, Stupid!" still applies.  California is a nightmare.  Either Obama is a Marxist screwing w/Economy and Fundamental Change or (2) Adm is inept with zero experience.  Why is this Community Organizer given credence?
>>> All of the reasons you artfully state are why [he must go.]
Caller also mentioned China growing as our position weakens.
Segment#11:    Do not let the Big Lie go unchallenged !
(Music) What act of man created the Volcano to spew ash?  It is more than all of the automobiles in all history.  It is not even close.  Scientists are now "looking for the lost heat of Global Warming."  It was all a hoax.
I am told that President Clinton is back-peddling a little now.  What words caused Timothy McVeigh to act?  All I have heard is that he protested Waco and set his bomb exactly two years later on the same day.  He was inspired by Mr Clinton's deeds.  They want to erase Bill Clinton's history.  It is despicable to blame Tea Party people to cover up.
Where is Obama's outreach to Conservatives?  He has a massive outreach to the Muslim world, which is fine.  Obama's whole life is anti-government until he gets to run it.
Tea Party people are pro-America and pro-Founding.  They love their country and try to hold on to it.  It is a movement of love vs a movement of hate.  The country is bring ripped apart in a fraudulent manner.  Had Obama been honest about intentions, he would not have gotten even 33% of the vote.
Those on the Left were the ones shouting, "Down with Bush."  That's not us.  We want to build America up;   they want to tear down.  They focus their rage even against our great Military.  Democrats stood behind antiwar protests.
Do not accept the premise that you are the haters.  You are acting because you love your country, community and neighborhood. These people govern against the will of the people.  We didn't vote on taking over companies, ObamaCare, big government.
The true anti-American rhetoric can be found in Obama's church of 20 yrs.  On the Left they transfer the love to themselves and the hate onto you.
>>  >>  >>     The Left portrays the exact opposite of the Truth.
Seg#12:  Breaking news about Chuck Schumer and John Paulson
So The Regime stumps in NYC for another private sector that he could talk over.  "Honest Obe" will not let the crisis go to waste.  ((Reading: Investiment Banking needs Rahm Emmanuel to help.  Goldman Sachs has an ally in him.))  This story appeared right after Rahm Emmanuel was picked by Obama Nov 2008.
Interesting tie with John Paulson who went short on investments.  Goldman Sachs let him pick and he gained a billion dollars when he was right.  Chuck Schumer is in bed with John Paulson.
Los Angeles Times says the filing against Goldman Sachs could defer anger.  Do Republicans have involvement?  No.
We are a month away from college graduations.  Some can't wait until it is over.  That was the case when I was in High School.  I had senoritis when I was in JrHS.  At Hillsdale College they have fun and love being there.  They also explain Conservative principles to 1.7million in the free mailout Imprimis.  No tricks and nothing is lurking behind the curtain. Andy McCarthy has a book coming out next month on Islamic Jihad and also speaks and writes in Imprimis.
>>> Sign up for the free monthly Imprimis at
Seg#13:  Defense Sec Robert Gates stirs the pot, noting Iran nukes
The New York Times is not happy today.  They don't like the document called a wake up call on Iran and nuclear capability by Gates.  They are not outraged with the details but that Gates would say anything.  "This is going to invite aggression."  There won't be any acceptance of responsibility.  They will find a way to blame Bush.
Carter had no answer for the Iran hostage;  no policy was a blunder.  Clinton ignored al-Qaida and that was a blunder.  He propped up Arafat.  He gave more attention to Monica Lewinsky, I'm not making it up.  Caller was right: they are either stupid/incompetent or there is something else going on here [Marxism.]
Caller: They can only call us names.  You put into words what we think.
We must motivate our Conservative Senate leaders. Can they lead?
House Republicans are great  (others fear DbM).
Senators move to considering the next Supreme Court Justice.
>>> They need to say things themselves and not leave it to radio.
Seg#14:  Conservative Leaders need to get into the arena of Ideas
A senior Iranian cleric says that women in immodest dress are responsible for earthquakes.  [So true.]  These guys are crazy to not note it is Global Warming.
Caller: Socialism march is not stopping.  FoxNews shows Obama still winning over either Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney.  We are losing America bad.  The Conservative Movement is not gaining.
We are in the process of slowing their march.   I shudder to think had we not been here.  We are the majority and finding out.  If they are going to violate the Constitution to block our nominees, we can play the game also to filibuster Obama nominees.  We need to fight with ideas.  The Left indoctrinates.
They are not trying to win with their ideas.  They try to destoy the credibility of those that speak up.  You do not have Conservativism in the beltway.  We must do what Reagan did and take back the Republican Party and it is nut-cracking time.  I am always amazed when others think it is the exact opposite.
>>> ED:  Rush says this is the moment to become very serious.
Didn't they say pollution caused Global Warming?  Now it is from cleaner air.
>>> We are damned if we do and damned if we don't.
Closing:   Plus they can't find some heat they know is out there.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Ideas?"
Hey, folks. The Congressional Oversight Panel, set up to oversee the government bailouts, has issued a report criticizing the regime's "bailout" program to help people keep their houses. A year and a half into the program, the report says six million families are at least two months behind in their mortgage payments and every month over 200,000 additional families get foreclosure notices.
And here's a new term: "Re-default." It refers to families who already had their monthly mortgage lowered by banks but end up in foreclosure again. Now, why should you care? Well because you're paying for them! Elizabeth Warren, who heads the Oversight Panel, calls "re-default the single worst form of failure" of the regime's bailout program. "Billions of dollars will be spent and families will nonetheless lose their homes."
So what's the Obama regime doing? They're doubling down. As they ramp up new legislation for mortgage companies, the Treasury Department -- which runs this fiasco of a bailout program -- is looking for "public input." They're asking financial companies, academic experts, and consumer groups to offer ideas on the best way to "remake" Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
(chuckles) They want some ideas? Okay.
First: Stop Democrats from demanding that banks give mortgages to people who can't pay them back. Second: Get the federal government out of the mortgage lending business and let the private sector run it for profit instead of political gain.
That would go a long way to fix what's broken.
Let's get started now.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"Twenty years ago we participated in our first Cure-A-Thon. We have raised $25 million in 20 years. That's how marvelous all of you are."
"It's infuriating to associate peaceful people, tea partiers, with acts of terrorism that have not happened, and yet we cannot associate real terrorists with acts that have happened because we might offend them."
"Goldman Sachs is going to have to take a little pain here and be the public face of evil, mean, greedy Wall Street so that Obama can get some energy behind his financial regulatory reform bill which he desperately wants."
"Mr. President, thank you for arousing the sleeping silent majority because we have been asleep too long.  November is coming, Mr. President.  That is when we will really thank you."
"Not just tea party people, but a majority of all Americans, 52%, think the policies of the regime are moving the country toward socialism."
"Do you realize how much of the creativity, the ingenuity that went into the space program has bled into everyday life, including our military?  NASA was effectively a quasi-military defense program in and of itself.  That's probably another reason why the left hates it so much, because it has military applications."
"It's no wonder that something with genuine ingenuity, genuine entrepreneurism, genuine application to the betterment of life, it's no mystery to me that Obama would want to shut that down.  It's just infuriating."
The California unemployment rate in March, a new high, 12.6%.  That's what going green does for you."
"The very regime announcing a plan to defend the middle class is the one attacking it.  'How can you say that, Rush?'  Well, the regime is attacking the private sector.  Where do you think the middle class works?  Or used to."
"'Obama Orders Same Sex Hospital Visits.'  This is how Obamacare works in a nutshell.  'Are you against this, Rush?'  No, no, no, no, don't misunderstand folks.  What caught my eye here is he orders it and it is so?  Is that how things happen?  He waves the magic wand, he orders it, and it is so."
"At some point we're gonna cure these blood cancers one at a time.  The progress that's being made is overwhelmingly positive, and it's rapid.  In these 20 years that we have been doing our Cure-A-Thon, we've gone from Model T type research to Bentleys and Rolls-Royces.  I would say Cadillac, but Obama owns that now, you can't put 'em in the upper level."
"We can't call Islamist fundamentalists 'terrorists.' We can't even use the word. But we can have ex-presidents and current presidents running around trying to associate conservatives with nonexistent terrorism at peaceful tea parties."
"This volcano in Iceland has grounded more airplanes -- airspace has more affected -- than even after 9/11 because of this plume, because of this ash cloud over Northern and Western Europe."
"Yesterday we had the tea parties, and the Drive-By Media (I'm sure to its great chagrin) is filled with stories about how festive and how peaceful and how unthreatening all of the tea parties were."
"The effort to infiltrate these tea parties fizzled. They have stories on that that they probably do not like having to report."
"You know, that's a problem with Western Civilization: There are too many Westerners in it!"
"NASA represents American progress."
"Forty-eight out of 50 states have lost jobs since the regime's stimulus plan was enacted over a year ago.  Forty-eight out of 50 states."
"Do you think the citizens are so stupid they don't know a bad thing when they see it, that they have to be told?"
"The media keeps asking: How come all these tea party people are white?  How about: They were born that way!"
"A landlord spent two hours with the IRS and went to Louise Slaughter's office because she led the committee fighting for the health care bill.  He needs to know when these Medicare taxes on investment are going to start, and if it's on the gross or net. Nobody could tell him!"
"By putting Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his henchmen on trial, the hope of Eric Holder and Barack Obama is that the International Criminal Court will file war crimes charges against Bush and Cheney for torture.  That is another objective."
"There's only one reason to give these four terrorists that kind of a forum.  You must think it's important for their message to get out."
"We don't put out press releases for ourselves like those other people do."
"'Obama tax policy will keep the Bush tax cuts for the middle class'.  What's wrong with that sentence?  Yeah, there weren't any tax cuts for the middle class with Bush.  His tax cuts were for the rich.  Remember that?"
"There's only one reason to sign an arms reduction treaty unverifiable with the Russians, and that is if you think the United States of America is the problem in the world."
"'Obama Signs $18 Billion Jobless Benefits Bill.'  This is another stimulus.  They don't dare call it stimulus anymore because the first one didn't work."
"You ever wonder, Obama announces health care and in a matter of a few weeks they had this behemoth of 2,000 pages in the House and 3,000 pages in the Senate?  They didn't just start writing this thing last year.  This has been one of their wet dreams for I don't know how long, and they've had is it stuff written down and gathering moss, dust and so forth in drawers waiting for this nirvana moment."
"The dirty little secret is this thing is going to get modified and altered and changed so many times that we're never going to have a bead on it.  It's gotta get to the point when you have this many pages of legislation, it's likely that every one of us is going to be violating this law inadvertently numbers of times a year."
"What do you bet the volcanic eruptions in Iceland have an effect on unemployment next Thursday?"   [Subscribers get other half of gem quotes]

April 19, 2010 Posted by Paul at 12:14 PM
According to a Pew poll released Sunday night, trust in the federal government to do the "right thing" most of the time has fallen to a near all-time low of 22 percent. In its report on the poll, the Los Angeles Times notes that a comparable level of public skepticism has been reached only twice in the past -- from 1992 to 1995 (reaching a low of 17 percent trusting in government in the summer of 1994) and from 1978 to 1980 (bottoming out at 25 percent in 1980). Trust in government was never this low during the presidency of George W. Bush.
If the results of the elections that correspond with the previous low-water marks -- 1980 and 1994 -- are any guide, the Democrats can expect an electoral debacle in November.
At the Crime and Consequences blog, Bill Otis considers the implications for criminal law of this level of distrust of government, and points to some of law-related decisions of the Obama administration that likely contributed to the distrust.
Oklahoma City, Waco, and crisis exploitation
By Michelle Malkin  •  April 19, 2010 10:35 AM
Today marks the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. The Oklahoma City National Memorial is here. 168 of our fellow Americans died in this evil act of terrorism. Take a moment to learn about their lives here.
Today is also the 17th anniversary of the deadly siege at Waco. After a 51-day standoff with the feds, 76 Americans (including 17 children) perished. It, too, was a shameful act of violence.
But one anniversary will get more attention the other today because the establishment Left isn't interested in sober reflection. And Bill Clinton certainly isn't interested in taking responsibility for horrors under his watch that do not fit the conservatives=violent extremists narrative: "What we learned from Oklahoma City is not that we should gag each other or that we should reduce our passion for the positions we hold – but that the words we use really do matter, because there's this vast echo chamber, and they go across space and they fall on the serious and the delirious alike. They fall on the connected and the unhinged alike," he said.
~~~   ~~~   ~~~
   Predictably, left-wing groups are taking their cue from Clinton and using the event to smear Tea Party activists, the NRA, and limited-government advocates all as potential OKC bombers.
   In the Left's playbook of Rahm Emanuel-esque political crisis exploitation, the Timothy McVeigh card has no credit limit.
