W-Post "Backing Muslim Right To Build Mosque Is Not An Endorsement" and that it takes the BP Gulf spill off the headlines. Frenzy over his mosque comment takes focus away from Obama saying the Gulf is open, they say.

Everyone know about the 'right' but what is the real reason and the point? America has to make amends? ((Reading: It is a provocation: "Their Jihad, not my Jihad" author writes about it. When you understand, we wonder why they don't build a monument to those who died. NYC has 30 mosques already. The proposal is brazen. Where is the funding coming from? Saudi Arabia? He should spend his $100million for Muslims dying in Darfur. Where is the concern for fellow citizens? Isn't it like planting a bomb to sooth feelings?)) That is a couple of Muslims writing in Canada.
Cofounder of Hamas says they have to build everywhere. The numbers vary, 30, 50, but there are a lot of mosques in New York City. How easy is it to get a synagogue up in Saudi Arabia?

What is the "New Normal". It is just a term to distance Obama from anything he has done, "Obama-nomics". He has only so much he can work with, not his fault.

For those of you concerned about the plans to erect a mosque at Ground Zero, I have even more news. You probably already heard that our state department is funding a "goodwill" trip for the Ground Zero mosque imam to promote a "greater understanding" of us in the Middle East. But apparently, the outreach program extends much further than that; a recent Washington Times editorial exposed other initiatives.
In April, our ambassador to Tanzania participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the refurbishment of a 12th-century mosque. Fitting, because the United States taxpayer provided funds to help the project along. It wasn't a one-off -- our government (well, Obama's state department) also provided financial assistance to save another mosque in Cairo. This mosque was named after a Muslim conqueror who defeated Christians in Egypt.
So let's review. The American left has spent the last 50 years in an unrelenting campaign to ban God from the public square. No prayers in schools or graduations, no silent moments, no Christmas displays, lawsuits to remove crosses from federal lands, and even throwing the Boy Scouts under the bus. God is forbidden. God is outlawed. God is an embarrassment. God is unwanted.
However... Islam's Allah is a different story. Critics of the Ground Zero mosque are accused of bigotry, and now our state department is funding mosque overseas while our own economy is in the tank. Obama the Most Merciful, praise his name, peace be upon him, is one of a kind.

Last week Fox News late-night host Greg Gutfeld formulated a creative approach to the Ground Zero mosque. He announced that he is trying to raise money to build a (non-alcoholic) bar catering to gay Islamic men by the proposed site of the mosque. Gutfeld says that the bar will feature 72 virgin drinks.
It's a funny idea, but Gutfeld advises: "This is not a joke. I've already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance."
I think Gutfeld is kidding, trying to add a satirical note to the purported missions of "outreach" and "tolerance" behind the Ground Zero mosque project. Humor is Gutfeld's shtick. Indeed, comparing his proposed bar with the Ground Zero mosque, Gutfeld concluded with a flourish: "I hope that the mosque owners will be as open to the bar, as I am to the new mosque. After all, the belief driving them to open up their center near Ground Zero, is no different than mine. My place, however, will have better music."
The alleged seriousness of Gutfeld's project has not deterred injections of humor into proposed names for the bar. As one good idea begets another, "Turban Cowboy" and "Suspicious Packages" have been offered. Hot Air readers have offered several more, including "Submission." At Ace of Spades HQ, Jack M. has suggested "Outfidels!" Readers offer their own suggestions, including "Brokeback Mecca."
Gutfeld must be on to something. He has already managed to provoke this response to his venture from the crew behind the proposed Ground Zero mosque:
@greggutfeld You're free to open whatever you like. If you won't consider the sensibilities of Muslims, you're not going to build dialog
Yeah, how insensitive can you get. Given what he has accomplished so far, Gutfeld may yet provoke Barack Obama into condemning his offense against Muslim sensibilities.
JOHN adds: In related news, Hamas has endorsed the mosque, explaining that "we have to build everywhere."
"Islam is controlling every source of our life as regard to marriage, divorce, our commercial relationships," Zahar said.
And from Afghanistan, another reminder of the extraordinary brutality of Sharia.
