Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Monday, 1/17/11
Student NOTES from Institute freshmen, not 'official'
Opening: I picked the NFL Ravens on purpose; . . .
S#1: KGB has a new name; USSR has a new name; Communists do not
. . . you know I would never bet against the Steelers. My brother David sent an eMail as to whether he should write an article today or take the holiday off. I told him he had better not or he would be accused of racism.
ChiCom Hu (leads China) says the US dollar as a basis of currency is outdated.
Residents of Tucson are eager to move forward ((reading NYTimes: Is the anger gone?)) This is presented as a news article since we are too stupid and need everything explained. ((Reading on: he seemed to have no ideology.)) He hoped the killing would get rid of Right-Wing-Media.
It's Democrats that keep talking about the opportunity crisis presents.
((Reading: "Have you no sense of decency?" in the McCarthy era.)) There was a Communist Party of USA, and the trials got rid of nothing. Several Communists are in the Obama Regime (Van Jones). The Cold War did not end after those hearings.
((Clip: It is not just 'gun laws' that are standing in the way. Debate it. [background, Fuller: "You're dead."])) Obama's speech was Wednesday. Loughner hated Bush for screwing up the currency. ((Another loony clip of James Eric Fuller))
>>> Where is the civility from the Left that Obama wants?
Segment#2: The Arizona Sheriff could be sued for slander
Fuller was making them feel very uncomfortable ((reading: escorted from the room, he shouted. He is a political operative that raises signatures. He is charged with intimidation.)) Eric Fuller is getting a mental evaluation but NYTimes writes are walking around free. What are the differences?
Reverend Jeremiah Wright say [as worse] and believe 9/11 was an inside job of Bush and, "American's chickens have come home to roost."
((Clip: Ironically, it came from a hard-core Liberal.)) Ironically? Because they expected it to come from a 'right-wing nut'? Where's the civility that Obama expects?
www.nationalreview.com/corner where Rich Lowry writes about the AZ sheriff.
Did you see what WSJ James Taranto wrote? ((Reading: Sheriff Dupnik says Rush Limbaugh is still at large.)) http://online.wsj.com/article/best_of_the_web_today.html
>>> The AZ Sheriff names me as a responsible party.
Segment#3: Not all immigrants join the Democrat Party
The New York Times ((reading: Loughner thought Bush created 9/11.)) Democrats were evenly divided (35%) thinking Bush knew in advance; and half of those probably believed he did nothing to stop it. That is how Loughner thought. He was a government hater and a Bush hater. But the Democrat hatred of Bush was justified?
AZ Sheriff Dupnik tells us he majored in psychology and talks of Loughner. ((Parody singing of Dupnik: I'm not a sheriff; but I like to be on national TV; all around my town; press likes to track me down; I know it was caused by talk radio; I ignored his every prior offense; try to help him with an 'insanity' defense; I'm not a sheriff; blame the Tea Party. No, Chris, I don't have any evidence, doesn't matter. I'm not a sheriff.))
Eric Fuller says proponents of Second Amendment (gun rights) got what they work for. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was one of them, so did she get what she wanted?
Russian immigrants are joining the GOP. We are getting through to some.
They say that Democrats remind them of Communism in the olde country.
>>> And it is not from 'giving them handouts'.
Segment#4: Senator Coburn dismisses the premise
Caller: Do your NFL picks count against your 99% correct-measure?
No because the Accuracy Rating has to do with social/politics.
Caller: My accent from Puerto Rico does not mean I'm not Conservative.
Both parties look for a group of Hispanic voters over Amnesty.
The Left is only interested in 'debate' when they expect Republicans cave. Like how they want Republicans to sit all together so the vast Majority will not be seen. When there are standing ovations they don't want it seen on TV. Do you think Pelosi would have entertain that? Some on our side want to go along.
Meet-The-Depressed, David Gregory asked about rhetoric. Senator Coburn dismisses the premise when asked about political discord. He dismisses all of media.
>>> He wants to talk about what really needs to be fixed in America.
Seg#5: From Hawaii, the 2nd episode of Haney Project tomorrow Tue.
Seg#6: David Gregory never noticed the hate-speech w/Democrats
(Theme Music) Full-court press is no to negate the Republican Victory in the last election, and reasons for it.
David Gregory talks about threats to the governing agenda, and apocalyptic direction of the country in rhetoric. ((Clip-Coburn: I reject the premise and President Obama rightly said the shooter Loughner was not political. What I disagree with in premise is that it dismisses the real problems in this country.)) Gregory is intent in getting Coburn to condemn [talk radio]. ((Clip-on)) You not notice how it is a one-way street. For eight years [hate-speech] never bothered David Gregory. Who is it that plays up conflict than media.
Drive-by Media cause conflict and create it when none exists. Who was it that flamed the rhetoric of Cindy Sheehan? Media made her and promoted her.
Obama Adm put Obamacare in charge of 1/6 of the Economy; who would object? They do not want to give up their narrative regardless of the facts. How come it is OK for Obama to accuse the Bush Adm of ruining the Economy? The reason it concerns them now is because their guy is vulnerable.
They took a shellacking and now they want to protect their guy.
40% support the Obamacare law in AZ and 41% oppose it. The number that want to repeal it is decreasing, as reported in media. When you find a poll like AP/GFK is different from all the others, you look at how the poll was conducted. They merely surveyed 1,000 randomly chosen adults. They are brazen about it even they know they will get caught. The correction will come later.
It is a poll designed to affect an outcome [push-poll] Even so, it shows Obamacare is unpopular and the opposition remains a majority. Their sample is flawed.
>>> This shows you what the popular drive-by-media has become.
Rush shows "there is no story here" but the flawed methodology.
S#7: Most American citizens know AZ nut was not influenced by Palin
David Gregory is upgrading the definition to 'violent rhetoric'. I guess the 25 states that file suit to not buy Obamacare fit the description? 'Uncivil rhetoric' is now 'violent rhetoric' to try to get Coburn to shut up on criticism.
Here's an article with multiple choice: ((Reading: shootings like the one in AZ will happen regardless of what government does (66%); shootings can be prevented (33%); undecided (1%).) So twice as many expect it to happen again.
They want to make it a crime to disagree with the government or oppose their candidates. Then there is the poll that does not believe Obama is a citizen (AP had a fit) and in another poll citizens thought Obama was Muslim.
Caller: Why would Senator Coburn appear with David Gregory?
[Chuckle] They feel that TV shows is where the action is.
Caller: I want passion from those we elect: Fight for us!
You don't expect them to follow through on their promises?
Caller: They have to be politically correct?
We have talked about how they want fit into the DC parties.
>>>> When they have Michelle Bachmann on TV, they invite
>>> five Liberal Progressive Democrats to appear with her.
Seg#8: Rush Limbaugh is a Conservative army of one
It isn't time to call me and say, "Why don't Republicans do 'X'?" [Can't Republican leaders think for themselves?] How the heck should I know? Democrats have failed to tie the Loughner event to New Media. They will try again next time.
Pg 75-76, Obama writes in Audacity of Hope ((Reading: We have no Walter Cronkite or Edward R Morrow to sort it out for us.)) Democrats control 90% of media and they still can't win an argument. Even the CNN poll shows 66% of citizens didn't buy their mantra about talk radio causing the shooting.
Caller: When do we get 'civility' from the other side? Will they apologize?
Exactly right! Obama didn't mention his side. You have to translate: 'civility' means Conservatives should shut up. Obama didn't have to say that because he knows media already believes it.
Zev Chafets wrote the book about me. He asked if I would play golf with Obama; I said it would never happen; Zeb said he would find out; called them and they said, "Rush Limbaugh can go play with himself." That is their 'civility'.
Caller: We need to get back to repealing Obamacare. Defund NPR, NEA.
I think the repeal bill is this week. AZ was a huge, huge event and Congress people think it could happen to them. Had they called the vote sooner it might not have gotten the attention it deserved.
> They honored me to schedule it on my birthday; and they scrubbed it.
Happy Birthday, Rush, now age 60 on January 12th. Kathryn is abt 33.
Seg#9: To Progressive-Liberal-Democrats, civility is a one-way street
I'm not in charge of where Senator Coburn goes or what Republican leaders do. I have no pipeline. It is encouraging to see people like these callers, ready to roll. If people we elected can't find results, they will be replaced. People do not care what David Gregory thinks and does. They don't care what that idiot AZ sheriff said; some of our Republicans do.
Voters are not buying anything that Progressive Media is trying to sell due to that AZ event. It has been tried before against me and the biggest strength to me is to remember you don't buy it. We are not responsible for lunatic Leftists.
You didn't like hearing Coburn say he would sit with Schumer for the State of the Union address. I'm glad you are heated up. Don't cool down. We want to defeat their agenda while the wind is at our back from a fresh election. Wait and see what happens.
Caller: Yes, violence rhetoric against Bush; one said she hoped you die.
I did forget that: Wanda Sykes jokes she hoped I die of kidney failure.
I'm able to take it.
> > > Civility? The Democrats all laughed.
S#10: Manhattan lawsuit against second-hand smoke under the door.
>>> We'll also cover a 'back-door' healthcare privatization 'scheme'.
Seg#11: Rush Limbaugh is an expert on close-captioning
(Music) Documented by the L.A. Sullivan Group at 99.6% right. Wanda Sykes said this about me as the 'civility-conscious' Obama laughed. ((Clip: treason; he needs some waterboarding.)) May 9th, 2009. There wasn't any condemnation: wishing for the death of Conservatives is just good clean fun, you know.
Newly elected Democrat Gov Andrew Cuomo urged campaign donors to support efforts to deny union plans. The Committee to Save New York pledges to match his funds. Save New York from government workers? How many union members voted for Cuomo [Jr]?
NFL Rex Ryan (coach of NE Patriots) seems to have a foot fetish, according to his wife. There was a picture of a female foot with the caption "Go Jets; Lick 'em." We'll put it on our website.
((Reading about NY: The most popular idea is to reduce social security for the wealthy, 63%; willing to reduce farm subsidies; willing to reduce military; reduce money for student loans. Etc. Tax healthcare benefits.)) All it would take is to just reduce spending by 10% across the board.
The close of the CBS story is "most Americans do not know how the government spends its money." That is why this chart is bogus.
The text of Obama's speech was on the jumbo screen, not 'applause' cues. Some may have thought it meant to applaud. It might have been trickery. The "Organizing For America" team was in the aisle and may have lead the applause.
> No, I'm not caving and trying to be civil. I'm a closed caption expert.
Seg#12: Listeners to this conservative program are called suspicious
Caller: David Gregory tried to make himself look important; can't stand DbM.
You watched in pain; then felt relieved when I nuked it.
Caller: My friends support your position. Your staff is great! Can I help?
How many have you talked to? [Three] Best to turn your radio off since we are on a 40-second delay. What issues? When I am being attacked? Just listen and don't be affected by it all. I appreciate your asking—very moving. Help get out the Truth, without fear. They are attacking you too.
They are saying you are all capable of doing what Jared Loughner did because you listen here to EIB. These comments are aimed at you and you should not stand for it. They are calling all of us 'accessories to murder'. Then they say we go overboard to defend ourselves. Sarah Palin was dragged into it.
Caller: 'Civility'? Killing of jobs, economy, grandparent death panels, the unborn; they stand outside our soldier funerals, happy. We all have dreams. They killed Martin Luther King Jr and his Dream; the 9-yr-old shouldn't have been there.
>>> It is a toughy when kids that young are brought in for politics.
Seg#13: Rush Limbaugh would like to limit Obama to four years
CBS Poll? It is not a stretch to say that most of what comes out of [Progressives] is a lie. Other polls today show Obama popularity is down another point, from 49% to 48%. Will that be reported the same? People were not fooled by the pep rally.
Evan Thomas wrote for Newsweek, cover story, "We are all Socialists now". Then he wrote "Killing Granny" to rethink rationing healthcare at end of life. ((Reading: Americans are afraid of thinking about death. Until they do, healthcare will be unfixable.)) So we must tell Granny, "We are pulling the plug on you, Granny." He wants you to be less squeamish about death panels of Obamacare.
Caller: This talk is just to shield the president; look at his damage; civil unrest. It is just non-stop from this man. Look at his rhetoric against citizens.
That was design to stifle criticism "it is just from kooks." Who has criticized his opponents more? Clinton? Two years of Obama vs eight for Clinton.
>>> We hope it will be only four for Obama, not eight years.
[Rush reads Morning Bell; you should too, from Heritage Foundation.]
Seg#14: Caller makes host look brilliant: say "No way", to The Regime
Caller: Looking at all sides of healthcare. Now, can't drop you if you are sick; can't have children turned down for prior conditions. Mandate? Why take it away.
What right does the gov't have to dictate to private industry? They are in business to make a profit. Obama purposely tries to destroy any profit to bring on 'Singe Payer' as the gov't.
There is nothing about this that is Constitutional. They want to run it all from government offices in 10-15 years. What if The Regime told you that you had to service people that will not pay you? In order for McDonalds to stay in business (along with 233 others) during an election year, they were granted an exemption.
Private Sector can do it better 99 times out of 100; only Military is the exception.
>>> When gov't wants to take over, your reaction should be, "No way!"
Seg#15: Union IEBW was granted a waver from The Regime
Caller was an electrician. Their union was granted an Obamacare waiver.
>>> It's been a wonderful Monday; see you tomorrow ready to go.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "TitleHere"
We've seen all this before, folks. This is not the first violent attack in America instantly seized on by media liberals, bent on using national grief as a weapon to destroy their political enemies. We have seen the corrupt news reporting that substitutes speculative blame for fact-gathering.
We saw the feeding frenzy that transformed an innocent security guard, Richard Jewell, from a hero who tried to save lives, to a villain suspected of carrying out the 1996 Olympic bombing.
We've also seen the flip side -- how one of America's most notorious mass-murdering political terrorists -- Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber -- was wrapped in the mantle of insanity, after it was learned he was an Algore-reading, card-carrying member of the environmental fringe lunatic left. But unlike now, liberals didn't blame talk radio, or condemn right-wing political discourse; instead they openly wondered how a man with such a "deep social conscience" could become a mass murder.
We've also seen memorial services turned into political rallies before. In contrast, when Bill Clinton was using the Oklahoma City bombing memorial to blame me, the audience was respectfully somber -- unlike the Wellstone Memorial, where liberals booed Republican elected officials. As for the Arizona memorial, well... you saw it ("we thrive together").
We know the Arizona shooter didn't listen to talk radio, he wasn't in the Tea Party, was not a Palin fan. We know that liberals once again have distorted, lied, and conjured up fictional political motives to satisfy their own sick loathing of fellow Americans.
We know. We've seen it all before.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"You know, we talk about what is smart on this program a lot, as Obama is naturally assumed to be smart. Well, name one smart thing he's done! Outside of political craftiness and screaming, name one smart policy that Obama has given us to help revive a sour economy!"
"My dad, until a year before he died, was determined he was a failure because he couldn't convince me to go to college. So my parents were far more like ChiCom moms than the parents of today are."
"We've all known a Marcy out there. I've caused many Marcys in my life, by the way, and proudly so. What, you've never been the reason a women was left in tears, Snerdley?"
"In junior high marching band, they had to move the trombones to the front row because I kept poking people in front of me with the slide on purpose."
"No, Dawn, I never had a play date. We just went out and played, we didn't have to make a freaking appointment for it!"
"When I was in Sacramento, one of the best billboard campaigns we had was just a white billboard with text: 'Rush Limbaugh is a Wonderful Human Being'. And a couple weeks later, tomatoes and other vegetables had been thrown at it."
"Rio Linda... You can't really categorize Rio Linda politically -- it's more of an IQ problem."
"I live in Literalville. I'm not a stylistic guy. I'm a substance person."
"Other than people who inherit their money and station in life, nobody gets where they are without hard work -- really committed hard work -- and that takes passion."
"The White House essentially, in journalistic terms, put crosshairs on Sarah Palin. There's no question that they're trying to destroy Sarah Palin because that's who they fear is the biggest threat to Obama, and don't think for a moment that the Republicans don't know that, either."
"By the way, I want to thank a mother for a note that I just received: 'Dear Mr. Limbaugh -- my daughter's first question after the Tucson shooting was, "Why are they bringing up Rush Limbaugh?"' Right on, mama, right on!"
"The problem with the Canadian health care system is not that it's horrible, it's that it's unfairly distributed. The ruling class is always going to be taken care of."
"We don't say things on this program hoping the left will like us, we don't say things on this program hoping to show that we are not like somebody else, and we don't say things on this program to gain favor with people who we might consider the opposition."
"I happened to anger a lot of people yesterday by saying that the president delayed the memorial because they were waiting for the polling data to come in and the T-shirts to get printed. Well, guess what? I was right on both counts."
"Story: 'The study published in the journal Science suggests that climate change contributed to the rise and fall of the Roman empire.' Wait until they figure out a way to tie global warming to the Tucson murders."
"The views expressed by the host on this program make more sense than anything anybody else out there happens to be saying for multiple reasons -- chief among them, we pursue the truth."
"The Wall Street Journal had a story on January 8th: 'Why Chinese Mothers are Superior.' Already the western mothers are in revolt here at the EIB Network: 'Yeah, Chinese mothers are only allowed to have one kid!'"
"I'm all for pushing kids because they won't push themselves -- at least, the vast majority of them won't. If you leave a kid to his own devices, he'll end up a coach potato."
"Maybe in the name of civility the Fox All Stars could broadcast side by side with Olbermann, Matthews, and Sergeant Schultz. Would that not be a great?"
"Remember the Beijing Olympics, and everybody marveled at the opening ceremony with the precision of all those ChiCom kids in uniform? That worried me. That troubled me."
"Let me ask you a question out there, Spiridon: With all due respect, what are you doing watching Fox when this program's on?"
"Story: 'Calling the US Commerce Department's attitude toward the fishing industry unacceptable, an angry US representative Barney Frank is threatening to withhold cooperation with the Obama White House "on a number of important issues".' You're probably thinking: What the hell is this all about? Exactly."
"You can break a child's spirit? No kidding. I've had it tried on me numerous times. To this day people still try to break my spirit, Dawn."
"I think if you ask any adult who their favorite teacher was in high school or college, for example, they'll tell you it's the teacher that got more out of them than they thought they had -- the teacher they didn't necessarily like at the time."
"The left has inserted their political beliefs in virtually every form of media. Even children's media is infiltrated with liberalism. It's everywhere!"
"I don't think that this country has the ability, the resolve, to make all of our children identical, but we're getting there. You know, we really are. Everybody must be equal in this country because anything else is unfair." [We are America!]

Some writing about the NFL Pat-Jet playoff game (Sunday)
"Four Lessons Learned," in which David Roth runs down the Jets'
surprising 28-21 victory against the New England Patriots.
1. Nasty talk does not necessarily equal nasty play. The Jets spent much of the last week engaged in a public psy-ops campaign against the Patriots. ~~~
2. An out-of-synch Patriots team looks a lot like… an out-of-synch football team. It hasn't been seen since the team's Week 9 loss to the Cleveland Browns, but there is such a thing as a lackluster effort from the Patriots offense, and it was on display again in this one. It took the Patriots nearly three quarters to muster a scoring drive, ~~~
3. Rex Ryan is smarter than he looks. And acts. Yes, we know what Rex Ryan is up to with all his spotlight-grabbing, microphone-devouring antics. The Jets coach's WWF-style bombast campaign of the past couple weeks is as unsubtle in its objectives – to spare his team some pressure and change the subject in the media – as it has been in its implementation. But while you may or may not enjoy Ryan's loud clowning, it's hard to argue with his results ~~~
4. Mark Sanchez can make all the throws, some of the time. ~~~

NEWSMAX eMail: Mark Levin Threatens to Sue Chris Matthews
"Somebody has to stand up to this. Somebody has to draw the line. Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough — test me."
Newsmax reports, Matthews said during a discussion with two liberal radio hosts: "What's been the role of talk radio in fueling the heated language? I'll mention a couple of names. People like Mark Levin, Michael Savage, for example, who every time you listen to them, they are furious. ~~~"
Levin, a former Justice Department official, said: "I believe in the law. I believe in free speech. I believe in responsible speech. Now, you want people to tone it down? OK, good. Anybody who accuses me of inciting mass murder in Tucson, Arizona, is going to be sued. Period."
