They are robbing the children. ChiCom children are getting further ahead in math. Our Leftist teachers are missing the opportunity to indoctrinate them even more. And what about the working Moms and Dads? Do they have to stay home now?
Do the Moms and Dads just leave their kids home alone?
We have the Muslim Brotherhood and now the Education Brotherhood.
State-Controlled Media has a choice: they have to report that Democrats fled; but do they report that they shut down the state government? No, they blame Republicans for that. The Federal Gov't could shut down in early March.

The federal government pays $670million to the public schools in Wisconsin. That is more than 20 times what Governor Walker wants to save. His savings add up to $30million. Because of this federal money, your tax money goes to the salaries of WI teachers. NCES (National Center for Educational Studies) collected date up through 2008.
The Wisconsin budget faces a $130million deficit and $3.6billion for the next two fiscal years. To close the gap (as required by their constitution) Governor Scott Walker proposes legislation to ask for union members (teachers and state employees) to carry more of their own benefit expenses.
Typical Leftist reporters says, "The teachers don't have any more to give." They are taking and not giving a damn thing! My Gosh, what is wrong with this country when others pay the 94% of their pensions?
I only say it is outrageous because the support they receive is a gift.
Folks, I would love if someone came to me and said, "When you retire, you only have to pay 5% for retirement checks; and when you go to the hospital, you only have to pay 12%."

Leftists love redistribution; it just requires power, not making more money. Those writing fake excuses are committing fraud.
What brought those Texas legislators back? In 2003, Democrats rented a bus and fled to OK. The OK governor would not allow Texas Rangers to enter Oklahoma. Governor Perry said their government credit cards would turned off and they would not be reimbursed. That is when they returned.

State senate rules allow the Republican majority to pass new union contracts and anything else they ever wanted. Pelosi would do that. Senate Majority leader Scott Fitzgerald says he will work on the bills without Democrats. Would one of those bills be 'collective bargaining'? They will also look at governor appointments.
Republicans can pass part of what Governor Walker wants.
What was the election for? I would start passing bills, continuing to work. Don't think the Democrats don't know it since this is an AP story.
Caller-WI: Local talk is Gov Walker is not abusing voters like Gov Doyle did.
There isn't a lot of polling support for the 'sick' teachers.
This whole point of 'not talking' is a straw dog. They knew this was coming.
We paid $10,791/student in 2008, (last year the numbers were available), more than any other mid-West state. Teachers in Wisconsin are paid more than the average.
University of Arizona will have a National Institute for Civil Discourse. The same Bill Clinton that had a 'War Room' to deal with bimbo women who told the truth and other issues that came up. ((Reading: non-partisan center for debate of 'civility' in public discourse.))

(Music) In JrHS I became congniscent of paying teachers more. My Father was involved in attracting better teachers. What was her name, David. That's right, Katharine Sackman. She loved my Dad's efforts and I got better grades.
Why do professional athletes make so much; movie stars; it's capitalism.
In some places in Wisconsin, some qualified people have applied and they have been turned down. They have spent a lifetime in business but don't have a teaching certificate. We could challenge the Left on not wanting better schools. Obama shut down the great voucher program in DC. It was one of his first acts as president. He had to be NEA loyal.
National Educational Association is 110% Democrat. It is not about better teachers; it is about more power. You are paying them to be campaign workers/voters. It is not an accident. Pure and simple: it is about loyalty to the Democrat Party.
CBS News from Sunday morning, Charles Osgood. These protesting idiots can't even see it. ((Clip: Pension checks stopped. First Black firefighter was supported by fellow workers. His wife worked for the police dpt. Got two pension checks and then no more. After 17 months, in Prichard Alabama, they wondered where their pension money went? "You can't get blood from a turnip. The money is not there."))
That is what many states are facing. Governor Walker says if he took all of the pension money and paid the teachers, they could not pay firemen and policemen. There is no 'lockbox' and Liberal Democrats spend what they can find. It just isn't there, except in Wisconsin. Gov Walker wants to use it properly.
It is not just Wisconsin, it is everywhere. This is what would scare me "to death" if I had to depend on other people for my money. My brain would be telling me, "the money is not there" as I listen to the news. The boot kicked the can down the road for many, many years.
Promisers get elected and all Hell breaks lose. What did anyone expect?

WSJ John Fund reports 'Organizing For America' ran 15 phone banks and bused in outsiders. This is not constitutional, community agitating. It is Obama's organization. Demonstrators were taught how to protest and appear 'non-violent'. They had to be taught how to be proper and polite. CNN was very proud of that.

May 2009, WI Gov Jim Doyle said the state deficit had exploded and he needed to fire people. $5billion deficit was expanding to $6billion. Union members didn't get the 2% raise they were promised. [Obama's recession]. He was a Democrat governor asking union members. ((Reading-union-response: OK, understood. We know we are not immune.)) Make the contrast to now.
With a Democrat governor, they didn't split the scene, shut down the schools, call Obama to bring in Organizing for America, they didn't bus people in. This isn't even about the union people, it is about politics. We had better pray for Governor Walker as it is the ground zero of the battleground.
What happens in Wisconsin will determine what happens to your pension.
As goes Wisconsin, so goes the nation. It determines Obama's reelection also.

For most private sector employees, it's the employer who sets the wage and benefits package -- not so for government employees. With no competitive forces at work, for decades they've held cities, states, and large segments of the federal government hostage to win wage, benefits, pension, and job-security packages that are far superior to their private sector counterparts.
Government unions have a longstanding incestuous relationship with the Democrat Party. In return for massive campaign contributions and foot soldiers for political campaigns, elected Democrats not only reward their union benefactors with favorable contracts, they shield them from the kind of accountability private sector employees face.
That's one reason our schools are failing. It's why cities and states with entrenched Democrat leaders are bankrupt. It's why governments balloon, while millions of private sector people lose their jobs, and even their homes.
Rather than honor election results, elected Wisconsin Democrats fled the state. They refuse to vote on Governor Walker's proposals to balance the budget by curbing union power and excessive wages and benefits. Teachers abandoned their classrooms, forcing schools to close and children to fall further behind. Meanwhile, Democrat union operatives are being shipped into Wisconsin from out of state to protest; they're equating Walker with Hitler and going to Republicans' homes to intimidate them.
They bankrupt your state, and they demand the right to keep doing it. They don't give a damn about your kids, civility, election results, or fiscal sanity. What are they? They're Democrats.

Events in Libya appear to be spinning out of control. Rebels have taken control of Bengazi; the revolt has spread to other cities, including Tripoli; Gaddafi is rumored to have fled the capital; unconfirmed reports have military aircraft attacking protesters. This is one of many videos showing the chaos that increasingly reigns:

Will the same thing happen in Libya? I don't know; but history seems to be setting up a laboratory experiment in north Africa.
