Your Rush ECHO for Tuesday 2-22-2011

Errata: Barack Obama dined with technology elites: Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle Larry Ellison, and Apple Steve Jobs in San Francisco on Thursday night, [but not Bill Gates].
Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Tuesday, 2/22/11
Student NOTES from Institute freshmen, not 'official'
Opening:   My 'ribs' comments were highly civil.

Seg#1:  Liberal Democrat Progressives have an indefensible position
Politico and other in Drive-by Media say I was hitting below the belt.  Well?  Look at where Michelle-my-Belle wears her belt and what is below it.

It is the day of the living dead as they vote in Chicago today.  There is a Daley on the ballot. And we have a Seminole moment for unions in Madison Wisconsin.  In the private sector (nationwide) unions are 8% of the working force.  Add in the public sector and it comes up to 13%.  Public opinion supports WI Gov Scott Walker.

((Clip:  56% support the governor among independent voters. One of the big missing stories is that most Americans support making specific cuts; will their reps follow?))  That's Scott Rasmussen, pollster. Independents have been siding against Democrats since the middle of last year.

Liberal Democrats have an indefensible position:  teachers are off the job; Democrat legislators have fled the state;  kids are staying home with fraudulent excuses.  Even FDR said, "the whole concept of unionizing [teachers] will not work."  The employer is John Q Public and Joe the Plumber.  They are demonizing us!

This is not a fight against big corporations.

When you hear union people lambast their bosses, squeezing the last drop of blood out of a turnip — that would be us.  FDR said the whole people speak by laws and rules made by their representatives.  Tell that to Andy Stern, Trumpka, and Obama.

SEIU and other like unions are agitators and enforcers.  And who are they intimidating?  Us!  Reagan fired air traffic controllers because (a) it was illegal; and (b) they were striking against the American people.

Union leaders have been running a scam and inserting themselves into the large pile of money and elections.  Rather than go to work and earn it, they do this and they are not the only ones.  They have gamed and scammed the system under the guise of being public servants.

By his own admission, Obama meets more with AFL-CIO Trumpka than he does with his own cabinet.  FDR said unionizing the public servants would not work.  This is one quote that Leftist Progressives will not quote.

Jessie Jackson is right, "It is a Martin Luther King moment" to take back from greedy union bosses.  Whose interests trump the interests of the people.  Public unions are bussing their enforcers in.  They see that they cannot let collective bargaining change.  This is Egypt for them.

Would somebody get to Khadaffi and have him tell us how to spell his name? There must be 32 different permutations.  Until we do there will not be proper reporting.  Khadafy went to an underground bunker to tell us he is in Tripoli and didn't visit Venezuela.  It is reminiscent of when he went to his bombed out home after Reagan hit back.  [You will remember Khadafy folded after his son was killed.]
>>> [ED: We vote for spelling it as :: "K-Had-Dafy"]
Traditional people start with a 'K' and now DbM is beginning with a 'Q'.
Like Obama mispronouncements, they will try to be 'in the culture'.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#2:       Democrats running for 'the tall grass'
Democrats are on the run, and Indiana legislators who are Democrats have left the state so they won't have to vote.  Texas Democrats had a majority when they ran away.  They are showing you what is important to them: unions.

This is a frightening moment for any elected official.  They are faced with siding with their voters or with their donors. Whatever unions want, Democrats will do.
>>> WI, IN, not representing you;  they are representing their donors.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#3:  Gov Walker brilliantly distinguishes private, union sectors
When the government was shut down by Newt Gingrich and Republicans, Democrats said, "How dare they?"  Now Democrats are walking off the job.  Not only are they leaving the state, they go to undisclosed locations.  Why?  It is not for you.  When was the last time they did anything for you, the little guy?

Who sides with unions against you?  Democrats.  When was the last time they were this dedicated to you.  Our public schools are a dumb as a bag of hammers.  It this were you or I, we might be put in jail for fraud.  US Dept of Education reports that 2/3 of Wisconsin eight graders cannot read at a proficient level.  They don't care about you and the children.

I think 'donor' is too kind — they are being loyal to their 'pay-masters'.

Democrats and DbM can spin this all day long, but behind their closed doors there is abject fear.  Everyone can see what is going on.  Question is: will they be able to hold onto power now.  This is Armageddon for organized labor and the Democrat party. They will not just sit around, "It was good while it lasted."

It is their link to money.  It is always about the money when they say it isn't.  More than that, it is about 'easy money'.  Lifetime pensions for doing nothing.  It is like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton whose only job is to get out the Black vote.  For this they get a seat at the table of power.

Gov Walker is brilliant to distinguish between private sector unions
and the public unions.  2/3 can't read so blame the union teachers.

Some in DbM say they people of Cairo Egypt and they send their greetings and support to Madison WI.  No, the people in the street in WI are the anti-Cairo.  The union members are trying to hold on to their elite status and money.

The people in the streets of Madison are the equivalent to Mubarak.

Virginia does not allow their public sector to unionize and they have a budget surplus.  Are the hospitals open, people able to get food, kids educated?  Yes, and without unions.
>>> Under a Republican governor they prosper in Virginia.

Seg#4:  Liberals in Drive-by Media would be killed by Jihadists
Caller-NY:  Hey, Sean, oppps Rush.  Tax the wealthy? Do you guys sacrifice.
What do you mean, 'you guys'?  It is stupid to say you sacrifice, a Democrat spin-game trick.  We must accept bad times?  Sorry!  I don't participate in Recessions.
[Seminar caller is doing a poor job, "Who will pay for your wars?"]

There is a reason it is not your job to say, "Everyone else has to give."  Wrong-o, pal.  Give us Liberalism to make everyone equally miserable.  I am for defending America and our way of Freedom.

Nobody fears our Navy anymore.  Our esteemed leader runs around the world begging forgiveness.  The price of oil is skyrocketing, homes foreclosed on.  We are all sacrificing a great life to Socialism.  And it is getting worse, not better.

Obama campaigned on coming back from the brink and now he is pushing the car over the cliff!  So what do you call here to discuss?
>>> You think it is unfair to defend this great nation
>>>>>>>    against those that want to kill you!

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#5:  Ralph Knees now works for The Regime (Obamacare)
Everybody knew who I was talking about, 'crocked face, screwy hair'.
>>> He was the former head of People for The American Way.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#6:  Unions have pounded Democrats into the ground
(Theme Music) eMail suggests I tell the last caller how much I sacrifice in taxation.  To Liberals, "joint sacrifice" means "more government".  When is it time for government to sacrifice with less money?

To me, sacrifice means government gets smaller and the takers take less.

Plain and simple it is the providers and takers. Liberals overreached ramming through Obamacare.  Buying votes and buying off whole states, on Christmas Eve, trick procedures.  The American people see they don't want you.

It is not a coincidence what is happening in Wisconsin.  You took over 1/6 of the economy with Obamacare; and you lost the House;  it is all coming home to roost and what is your solution?  Run away.  WI, IN, and soon OH.

You made it plain what Liberalism is:  law-breaking, union-only, dishonest.

Voting citizens also see the little guy is not supported by Democrats.  Who do they side with when it is a moment of survival for the Democrat Party?  Not with their voters but with their pay bosses.  [Rush is hammering them — I have another commitment soon.]  You claim you do this for the children;  you said Republicans were stealing lunches from school kids.

You had the referee/media on your side; but you lied.  2/3 of eight graders in Wisconsin can't read at the appropriate level as teachers get rich and tenured.
>> If a dogcatcher ran against a Democrat, the dogcatcher would win.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "It's Clear!"
As the standoff in Wisconsin enters its second week, certain things are becoming clear. First, that the Obama regime, using its political arm, Organizing for America, has taken an active role against the duly elected governor of a state, who's trying to balance his current budget and restore long-term fiscal sanity.

So despite all of Obama's words about "living within our means" and creating a climate of political "civility," his actions are that of a partisan community organizer -- a professional political agitator -- intent on backing his donor unions at all costs.

If any of you pundits out there still think you can push this idea that Obama is "moving to the center". forget it! With his deficit-busting budget, his regime lying about Republicans wanting a government shutdown, and this assault on Governor Scott Walker, that line of "centrist" BS is now fully exposed. Pharaoh Obama is a far-left partisan hack, and there's nothing "civil" or "moderate" about him.

Another issue has become clear, and this one is no surprise or secret: There's tons of video at the Wisconsin protest of doctors (or, people representing themselves as doctors) writing phony doctors' notes to "excuse" protesting teachers from work -- teachers who could be dismissed for taking days off under the guise of being sick.

Conclusion: The truth doesn't matter to liberals. The lies of liberalism are their religion, their foundation, and their reason for living.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"We better pray for Governor Walker and we better hope this guy means it when he says he's sticking to his guns because Wisconsin is the battleground for 2012."

"Sheila Jackson Lee is fast becoming our all-time favorite member of congress -- more so than Maxine Waters, even."

"They get out of school today more than I ever did, Snerdley, and, frankly, it ticks me off. Teachers' conference here, teachers' strike there, spring break... There was no such thing as spring break when we were in school!"

"We know the Muslim Brotherhood is attempting to take over Egypt, and it appears they might be trying to take over Libya. But will the Education Brotherhood succeed in taking over Wisconsin? Time will tell."

"There's no sex with a Lewinsky, and everybody knows that. My brother David is here in town with my nephew and nieces and he's wondering, 'Why did I bring them by today?'"

"Imagine that: You go on vacation, and you pay for it. You go buy a quart of milk, and you pay for it. I know it's a strange concept to a lot of freeloading leftists, but that's what's on the table here."

"How stupid are these people? If you're a teacher, and you have a pension plan that depends on your state being solvent, wouldn't you damn well be supporting a governor who wants to maintain your state solvency?"

"Damn right I am the biggest supporter of individual responsibility you're ever going to find! If I want it, I pay for it. I don't accept freebies."

"The reason that they want to unionize public employees is -- how can I say this -- because that's how you get around not having to get rid of failing or underperforming people. It's not about hiring the best -- it's about strength in numbers and loyalty to the Democratic Party."

"So there's one copy of Bush's book available in Vermont. Good."

"We're all here, ladies and gentlemen. We could have easily gotten fake doctors' excuses, but we're here on Presidents Day for the children."

"Sheila Jackson Lee confused the moon and Mars. My guess is she spends a lot of time on both in many ways."

"You senate Democrats from Wisconsin, I know you're listening, and I just want to remind you of something: Even Obama had the courage to show up and at least vote 'present' all those times."

"I'm just trying to say that our first lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months."

"We don't engage in shock value here at the EIB Network. We warn you when items of questionable subject matter come up and give you a chance to tune out."

"Now, if you're still listening and your kids are out there saying, 'Mommy, mommy, what's a Lewinsky', that's your problem. I'll leave that up to you moms and dads to explain to your youngsters what a Lewinsky is. I'm just trying to keep the program aboveboard."

"The insincerity that animates the left knows no bounds. 'Are you saying, Mr. Limbaugh, that people on the right do not fake it?' I don't know. I've never heard of that happening."

"You know, Lenin called his party the Bolsheviks -- that means 'big party', but it was actually quite small -- and that's what we're dealing with here."

"I know the last caller was a seminar caller. Practically every leftist caller we get here is a seminar caller. They go somewhere where they're given talking points or some line of logic to use that is supposedly guaranteed to trip up El Rushbo, but it's not possible."

"If the teachers are going to object to paying 5% of their pension, then they must think it's perfectly fine for everybody else to pay at least 95% of it."

"Liberals love the redistribution of wealth because it doesn't require anything to be made -- it just requires power."

"What happened in Wisconsin is going to determine whether states in this country go bankrupt or not, because if union power is not checked here, we'll have the economic version of a natural disaster."

"Everybody has their own way of doing a speech, and mine is to not prepare for it. Well, the minute I start preparing for a speech, my brain freezes. It's just a quirk."

"I think the whole notion of wanting better schools is something that we could challenge the left on. Look at Obama himself: There was this brilliant voucher program going on in DC, and he just let it die."

"It is also the truth that Obama denounced Scott Walker much faster than he did Mubarak, and people notice this."

"It is not an accident that since Obama's regime took office that there have been an additional 200,000 federal workers hired in various federal unions. They are, in effect, paying them to be Democrats, folks."

"If I had a state pension and health care benefits, I would be scared to death because my brain would be telling me 'I'm underfunded, money's not there.' All you have to do is listen to the news."

"When I was in junior high, everyone looked 80."

February 22, 2011 Posted by John at 11:11 AM
John Thune announced this morning that he will not run for President in 2012. I'm a little disappointed, as Thune is one of my favorite politicians. But he could become the number two Republican in the Senate upon Jon Kyl's retirement, and it is hard to argue with his rationale for staying out of the 2012 race:  "Along the way, we have been reminded of the importance of being in the arena, of being in the fight. And make no mistake that during this period of fiscal crisis and economic uncertainty there is a fight for the future direction of America. There is a battle to be waged over what kind of country we are going to leave our children and grandchildren and that battle is happening now in Washington, not two years from now. So at this time, I feel that I am best positioned to fight for America's future here in the trenches of the United States Senate."
