Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Monday, 9/12/11
Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening: Happiest guy in America Thurs night?
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#1: Rush Limbaugh, titular head, will take apart TOTUS Job Speech
Obama! Because he knew I wasn't going to be here on Friday after his speech the night before. "I don't have a budget, but I have a bill in the works."
Be careful, Mitt Romney and other hopefuls if you attack Rick Perry who calls Social Security a Ponzi scheme! Mitt Romney has said much worse. Hopefuls pander to Drive-by Media and leave their base if they criticize the Rick Perry comment.
George W Bush stands tall in retrospect ten years later, great statesmanship, and not one successful attack since 9/11. If someone wanted to put his sculpture up on Mt Rushmore, I would be there to support.
The president had his props in the audience and it was so High School. He was the little manchild waiving his term paper in the air: "I have a bill" when he doesn't. He says, "Pass this bill". He has one now: a cover and a stack of paper. Now is the time for the official rebuttal of his Jobs Speech. That will come from ME the titular head of the Republican Party. He will say how to pay for it (beyond tax the rich) will come in a couple of weeks.
Did you notice how Obama wants to reduce payroll taxes? That is find and dandy until you notice: FICA is the only funding source for Social Security. So tell me how SocSec is not a Ponzi scheme. Cut the only income to SS in half and how is it not a ponzi scheme?
If I am a senior, about to get liked out of my house, and I hear the source to my SS program is about to be cut in half, how should I react? Progressives in media just lap up this rhetoric from Obama like lapdogs.
((Satire news to music: POTUS/TOTUS: Members of Congress, and fellow Americans, while on my vacation, thinking about my new Jobs Plan, I realized there are steps we can do: we can have new jobs to rebuild our infrastructure and fill potholes in roads. It will be paid for by our grandchildren. (Michelle), "Barack, you didn't eat the apples in your Happy Meal" "But I didn't want to", Obama.))
> > > The music from the past was "The Shaft".
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#2: We will always reverence the heroes and victims
Grab sound byte 26, "Little Barry has a bill". He walks out people in their commercial uniforms as props, standing in the sun for 30 minutes before he walks out from the shade. ((Clip-Obama: Last Thursday night I said I would have a bill — and here it is.)) His little audience, in their uniforms, applaud.
Concerning 9/11/2011, we have had no more attacks. Through the ten years, President Bush was mocked and de-humanized. Did you see Bush and Obama standing side by side during the memorial service, Bush bowing his head and Obama with his chin up looking at his father, god. It is quite striking.
They got all over Bush for not leaving the school and getting back to DC fast enough. "Some presidents are just better than this than others", DbM. Then he was invading your library records. Rumsfeld cancelled his The New York Times subscription because of what Paul Krugman wrote on Sunday. What took him so long.
I know: our side reads The New York Times from time to time, hoping they will be praised. In the meantime, Obama says 9/11 is a day to commit to service. The NYTimes published Paul Krugman's insane rant instead of praising Bush.
Then The New York Times warns Obama to pull out all the stops to win.
((Reading Paul Krugman: Fake heroes like Bush and Giuliani rushed in to capitalize. Then they rushed to war. The memory of 9/11 was high-jacked.))
ED: We will never forget [the victims & heroes] – We will always remember!
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#3: Obama diminished 9/11 and panders to the Muslim world
NFL had their highest rating Sunday night in years. Cowboys have no defensive backs. They have the Sea Eggs coming in so we will find out. NE Patriots and Miami Dolphins will face off during the next Republican debate. TV is decreasing but not NFL because it is not fake and fraud. Even 'reality TV' is scripted.
NFL is holding strong and helps people remember what America was. In the case of football, it brings to mind: skill, power and strength.
((Reading Krugman: 9/11 became a wedge item. NeoConservatives wanted to participate for the wrong reasons. It has become irrevocably poisoned.)) Remember how Liberals-In-Media said 9/11 shouldn't be politicized? Now Krugman politicizes it.
((Reading Trumka: Firemen fought heroically. Rush Limbaugh pushed open the door for hate. Etc.)) For a week there was a sense of unity, then Leftist and Puff Daschle said President Bush wasn't attacking soon enough. Then there was the attack on Tora Bora to take out bin-Laden.
Obama wrecked our economy, and then on 9/11 he shows up at a soup kitchen to honor his "day of service". Does he think we are the ones that have to make amends? He visited the results of his policies.
Does he want to create the best 'optics' for the Muslim world? Those in WTC were going to work and were murdered! Either the WH is tone-deaf or they did this on purpose. Saudi Arabia was not motivated by poverty, they are rich — they were motivated by religious hate. Talk about politicizing!
>>> The president of the United States at a soup kitchen on 9/11 .!.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#4: No, it was not unity at the Democrat-Republican top
Caller-Jane: George Bush is the greatest modern-day president. I found your show the day after; now I worry about the future of my daughter.
After 9/11, Democrats thought Republicans would blame Bill Clinton and that didn't happen. They got tired of waiting and finally attacked Bush. There was a lot happening right after 9/11, including using wire tapping.
>>> It never was unity right after 9/11. Don't doubt me.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#5: An all-out warning from The New York Times
Leftists say that if WH doesn't step it up, they will at The New York Times.
>>> The NYTimes knows their Ideology is on the line.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#6: The bloom is again off the Obama rose
(Theme Music) I am one of the few American that "knew then, what I know now". You do too — some of you just don't want to admit it. 1-800-282-2882 to be on the program.
The speech Thursday night was Barnum and Bailey, clown speech. This speech drove The New York Times over the edge.
The Green jobs were a gigantic scam: GE cuts the wind market. Forbes reports it.
The NYTimes wants Obama to go 'gansta' beyond rhetoric. They want Obama to be even more uncivil. ((Reading: Trying to claim the 'center' has failed.)) Name one significant think Obama did in his term to 'move to the center': do they mean extending the Bush tax rates?
Here's The New York Times telling Obama to go 'goonian'. The vast majority of Americans oppose Obamanomics as they lose their jobs and homes. ((Reading: Anxiety over the next 14 months.)) NYT agreeing with El Rushbo.
((Reading on: The Republican field shows executive experience in job creation in the private sector.)) So just now they see it? It is a backhanded slap. The Times admits that Obama hasn't learned while in office. Why are they writing this now? They are sending a message.
((Reading on: This could affect local elections.)) As in 2010. DeFusio says the enthusiasm for Obama has evaporated. Translation: "Paging Hillary". ((Reading on: Obama should watch his speech over and over.)) Are they calling him an idiot?
Tell me what is better since Obama took the Oval Office. ((Reading on: But a survey among campaign leaders found palpable concern.)) The WH is tone deaf? No, they have known since the Tea Party bubbled up and the 2010 elections. Obama is in bed with the haters of most Americans.
((Reading Elijah Cummins: There is a Obama deep in there and we need to extract him to combine passion and policy.)) Democrats who speak on record to The New York Times show they have little confidence in Obama now.
Three days after his great appearance and Jobs Speech, according to Howard Fineman of The New York Times, everyone tells it like it really is. I thought Obama saved everything. Obama threw away a trillion dollars and now wants half a trillion more. Confidence? ((Reading on: Reclaim the political center.)) That is my favorite part!
Obama excuses are tired. How does he reclaim the political center?
+ Be the most petulant, childish POTUS?
+ be the most angry divisive POTUS in history?
+ by running the Economy into the ground?
+ by blowing up the Deficit with insane spending?
+ by not producing Budgets?
+ by lying about headwinds and bumps in the road?
+ by saying, "We've turned the corner" ?
+ by claiming ATMs and earthquakes in Japan did this?
If earthquakes are the reason, why didn't the Economy rebound, they are over.
>>> Nobody believes anymore the words of Obama, not even NYTimes.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#7: Obama Adm loves the Military with solar panels
Solar City on Sept 8th gets $1billion to install solar panels in160,000 military houses and building—124 military bases, starting with Hickam AFB in Hawaii. "It is massive", said CEO Lyndon Rive. More than installed in the last 30 years. Can I get such a grant for "Two if by Tea"? I wouldn't have to worry about shipping or manufacturing costs.
>>> Salindra has to be asking, "What the Hell did we do wrong?"
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#8: Only settle for Truth and "the Best"
Liberalism is finally being understood and The New York Times worries about their ideology. It doesn't matter what they say and lie about: It doesn't matter to these Liberals if Obama loses. They admit Obama is 'land-slide-able'.
Caller: Liberals like Obama think they know more than the rest of us.
NYTimes Krugman says he will allow no comments on his article. Who wanted to read his rant anyway? He was honest as a Liberal: he doesn't care what you think.
Caller: NFL succeeds as people look for competition without intervention.
You are right. The Regime's team is the Chicago Bears.
I'm not attacking politics in sports — this is culture. USA watches. Yes, Snerdley, I watch parts of all the games. The Lambs lost their best wide receiver. The best game of the day was the Carolina Panthers (21)vs AZ Cardinals (28), a nail-biter. Watch the replay.
Caller-gal: The best NFL game was Chicago Bears.
Caller-guy: Social Security IS a Ponzi Scheme. 30 yrs paid in, not a penny.
Caller-gal: We do service for our country every day, esp. girls & nurses.
>>> Yes, and having babies and raising them.
Rush adds a quote from Oscar Wilde:
"I have simple tastes, I am only satisfied with the best!"
_____________________________________________________________
S#9: If the green energy is so good, why does it take taxpayer money?
eMail: Tuning into NFL on TV shows American 'kick-ass' — USA! USA!
I was surfing around and the Mets had Americana on parade in pre-game.
Caller-WA: Trillion dollar contract is lewdicrous. I'm a contractor and I ran the numbers. It would take 16 years to recoop.
In terms of energy, what renews? Nothing. It is not clean in terms of energy.
>>> Why does it take a $1billion grant to make the program work?
Hybrid car batteries need to be charged with coal electricity.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#10: Direct TV [and Dish] has NFL Football Channel
They will replay Carolina vs AZ on Tuesday night at 9:30pm.
>>> It was a great NFL game: Carolina Panthers vs AZ Cardinals.
KFI ad: Call Solar City to lock your rates in, largest in the nation. 888-SOL-CITY.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#11: After you watch GBTV at 2-4pm ET, rest up for NFL football
(Music) There is a Republican Debate tonight, not many to see it since there are two NFL great games. At 7pm NE Patriots vs Miami Dolphins; then the Oakland Raidies at Denver to play the Broncos. The other hopefuls will pile up on the Rick Perry comment on Ponzi Social Security.
The Republican base will be the audience. Everything that has to do with excessive spending is something they want to see attacked. The Romney flyer attacks Rick Perry when he himself said worse. Attacking Perry from the Left won't work.
I'm not endorsing, just observing. Question for Romney: what on Romney care would you eliminate? Just issue waivers to 50 states? Romney doesn't attack Perry over Immigration. Nobody is perfect, I realize.
Even Obama proposes cutting FICA taxes, the only source for SocSec. You cut the funding in half but continue benefits? That isn't a Ponzi scheme? If Social Security is not a ponzi scheme then set Madoff free. He went to prison because he didn't find enough 'new investors'. Compare Social Security.
((Reading: The comment of Rick Perry is no way original. Jonathan Last identified News Week Paul Samuelson as the first to use 'Ponzi Scheme'.))
((Reading on: In 1978, Samuelson followed up on his first article.))
((Reading on: [many others writing] Social Security is like a chain-letter. WSJ said Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme. Michael Barone called it a ponzi scheme, impossible to collect without massive tax increases. In 1994, Jeff Jacobi said, "Not being in politics, I can call it a ponzi scheme." Etc. Robert Shapiro, Liberal, "As it is currently structured, a ponzi scheme". Newsweek Jonathan Alter, "willing to say it is a Ponzi Scheme".)) Should I go on?
(Reading on: Only a Grinch could grumble but only a Fool would not ask about this Ponzi Scheme. Senator Simpson talked about the Ponzi Scheme. 1996 Slate wrote, "From Ponzi Scheme to Shell Game"; Etc; Bla-bla-bla-bla-blah.)) To harp on Perry over this is to take the Leftist Liberal side.
The Left doesn't want to be judged on anything they do;
They want only to be judged on their good intentions.
FDR counted on the fraud not being noticed. He wanted Democrat power.
Rich Perry has the guts to say Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme.
>>> Republican candidates who attack him only do so for DbM favor.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#12: Social Security in not 'security for seniors'
[Rush gives you an infomercial on backing up your iPhone pictures, etc.]
((Clip-Hardball: Rick Perry could fix the 'Ponzi Scheme' gaffe because many people actually believe it.)) ((Clip-another: He could then talk about his own plan.))
The Social Security Program has long since ceased being 'security for seniors'.
All Perry said was to not leave future generations 'holding the bag'.
Newt Gingrich pounced on Ron Paul for saying he would fix Medicare.
And Trump did too but that is the only Medicare fix I have seen.
>>> Hopefuls had better be careful when they are
>>> saying the opposite of what people want to hear.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#13: Enjoy and learn via www.RushForHillsdale.com
Caller-lady: Krugman, you are fake and nobody believe you.
Caller: We have more candidates than Romney and Perry. We have Newt.
What do you mean, "Gingrich is being left out?" Newt is at every debate and gets press on what he says at the debates. Where is he getting 'short shrift'? You just want him covered more, like fans of Santorum. You just don't like the small poll numbers.
Media always talks about the poll-leaders, and Obama is low in the polls.
One of my favorite saying is: "It is what it is, in DbM." Three weeks ago, it was only Romney; then Bachmann wins the Iowa straw poll; Rick Perry gets in and sends shockwaves; it is far from over; it will be shock-all-over if Palin gets in.
I like Herman Cain, and others. It is up to candidates to affect polling. Every one of you will look at those on stage and call in and say, "This one has no chance", but you don't say it about Romney, Perry, and Bachmann. Be honest with yourself before calling me. Are you upset with the system?
((Reading: Alarms are going off about Obama winning reelection.)) They know their ideology is on the line. To them, it is bigger than Obama. "How will this affect Obama" even if it is a pothole cover in NYC. The New York Times tries to set a fire under Obama and puts their Ideology above Obama, for the first time. "You are going to lose, you idiot, and what are you going to do about it?"
The Paul Krugman piece in The New York Times sends a message: "You do the dirty work [as a thug] or we will." In their minds, Obama alone is killing their Ideology, not the ideology of Liberalism. They fed him the lies of Liberalism and now that he can't pull it all off, they want him to be as dirty as he can get.
It could also be someone in the White House [WH] that ticked them off.
I don't know what or that would be. It could be possible, I don't know.
Hillsdale College is all about our Constitution and the Liberties we sometimes take for granted. Sign up for a free course starting this Thursday. You will learn about the founding of our nation. Paul Ryan and Larry Arnn, college president will instruct.
>>> You will learn things you think you know but you don't.
>>> And you will enjoy it immensely at the same time.
_____________________________________________________________
S#14: Who is surprised when you elect an unknown Chicago organizer?
Mitt Romney called Social Security a fraudulent criminal exercise in his book. If it is not a Ponzi Scheme, why is it criminal? Watch for what Romney says in the debate.
[ED: FYI, we added a top-level Romney campaign advisor to our eList.]
Caller: AK-47s went south of the border and Eric Holder knew, supported.
Caller: This Adm has already 'gone gansta'.
>>> Some would say they arrived "gangster". Eric Holder included.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#15: They are getting 'crazy' Conservative in California
Los Angeles Times: CA Assembly extends Hollywood tax credits.
Suddenly, they think lowering taxes in the film industry will help.
>>> When did they notice that business was leaving?
Closing: Watch some NFL football and we'll continue tomorrow.

Learned from WSJ Online:
Obama will pay for his $447 billion jobs plan by ending a series of tax breaks for oil and gas companies, hedge-fund managers and people making more than $200,000, the White House said.
The question that nags Republicans about Texas Gov. Perry is a simple one: Is he too ideological to win a general election? As it happens, writes Gerald Seib, that is the same question that dogged Reagan in 1980.

SEPTEMBER 12, 2011 — JOHN HINDERAKER
Unions have traditionally been relatively popular with Americans, but that is changing rapidly. And virtually no one approves of the bullying tactics that are generally associated with unions. So Mitt Romney is doing a smart thing, I think–not to mention a good thing–in taking on the unions, and tying them to President Obama. His campaign released this video yesterday, as part of its Obama Isn't Working theme: »

President Rerun schedules another Rose Garden finger-wagging session
Time for President Obama to wake up and look like he's doing something about jobs again!
Today, he'll take to the Rose Garden with "teachers, police officers, firefighters, construction workers, small business owners and veterans" — read Big Labor supporters with a few non-union tokens tossed in — as he wags his finger again at Capitol Hill to pass the jobs bill.
Which, er, he'll finally get around to sending to Capitol Hill later tonight.
President Rerun will be quite busy this week, rehashing his warmed-over porkulus plan across the country. ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
