Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Thursday, 10/6/11
Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening:   I showed up feeling quite sad (Steve Jobs) . . .

Seg#1:  Obama Leftists responsible for what angers Liberal twits
And then had to sit here and watch incompetence in the excuse of a press conference (BHObama).  If you saw CBS news, they have been playing sound bytes as if fed by Obama/WH.  CBS says he sounds angry—what does he have to be angry about that he has not created?  State-Controlled-Media is on parade, scared of Obama.  This has been one solid lie after another, as Obama tries to rewrite history.

Coupled with everything else that he is with a chip on his shoulder, "We've got to pay the price now", to listen to him talk about Economics is an embarrassment. Not one reporter asks him about what happened in Stimulus One.  Like with Clinton, he could force hiring cops for one year and then leave states to carry on.

Mitch McConnell says Obama is campaigning, not helping America.  Obama responds that Congress should do something and pass his Jobs Bill.

NYTimes Jackie Calmus asked if he saw the Wall Street Protestors and he said they were [with him].  Those are his soldiers.  Soros money is involved.  A reliable source said, "You watch: he is flaming rebellion-riots."  OCCUPY WALL STREET is the Obama base.  He will run for reelection against Wall Street.  All of the slubs in protest don't understand The Regime and Wall Street are one and the same.

All these people down there, Occupy Wall Street, are Obama's base.  You would think Obama would be embarrassed by them.  [Rush uses his Obama voice, so good.]

$450billion in tax increases in the Jobs Bill of Obama, but he talks about tax cuts for small businesses.  Let's pretend.  Somebody explain to me how roads will be repaired and bridges upheld, and everyone get a job with $450billion.

Why didn't the previous spending and Stimulus One billions created this magic?   One of the idiots down at Occupy Wall Street said they were inspired by Arab Spring, which was one of Obama's excuses for not producing.

It requires willing suspension of disbelief [Hillary-talk] .
>>> VP says people are understandably mad.  Who's at fault?

S#2:  Rush Limbaugh would have liked to write the Steve Jobs biography
I love Apple products and I share my passions with all of you.  When you find your passion it is a magnet and is invigorating.  I would get eMail complaining about Liberals at Apple.  I am intrigued by greatness and excellence because it is rare and exciting.  I am mesmerized and inspired by excellence.

One of the positive perks of what I do is to meet such people.  I attach myself to things that create child-like wonderment.  How many of us wish we could recapture the Christmas-like exuberance of a child?  Speaking honestly, the introduction of new Apple product ignited that in me—that's just me.

I would have loved to have been the guy to write the Steve Jobs biography.  The most he revealed about himself was his Stanford commencement speech in 2005.  The fact that he was a Liberal was a great contradiction, doesn't matter to me.

The introduction of the iPhone 4s was like Christmas for me.  Using Apple products is genuine fun for me, and at the same time increases my productivity. Steve Jobs changed the way everyone creates, sends, receives, and enjoys media, music, and art.
>>> One guy did all of this and I am sorry he is dead.

_____________________________________________________________
Segment#3:       Appreciate excellence .!.     Emulate excellence .!.
Elizabeth Warren said, "Hey, you couldn't have done anything on your own as CEO."  Obama feels the same way.  Steve Jobs show it is wrong thinking.  Where did George Soros get his money?  They demonstrate against the corporations that give them their transportation, food, shelter, iPhones and iPads.

They protest and want to feed off of other people.  There are many others like Steve Jobs with American exceptionalism.  "Love what you do and it is not work.  Live your own life with passion."  Don't assume that everyone is smarter than you are.  Don't live somebody else's life.  And don't follow losers.  Why listen to them?

An example, iOS 5 will be release October 12th, and I can't wait!  Soon after that, the new iPhone 5 will be released and I wonder if I can get one.  The last new one I spent 18 hours trying to be one of the first, online.  There is other object in life I do this for.  Next year there will be a new iPad Three.  Where do you go in Cuba to buy a phone made in Cuba, or a car or anything in a Communist country.  Where's the Russian iPad?

How liberal could Steve Jobs have been to become the classic capitalist?

What is the end goal of capitalism?  Separating people from their money.  And his products (Macintosh) were not the cheapest.  With 6% to 8% the Macintosh was more profitable than the competition.  Steve Jobs was interested in profits for himself and for Apple.  Steve Jobs created products people had to have.  They still can't get enough of them—they couldn't make them fast enough, 200,000 a day.

He was the epitome of a capitalist, starting in a garage.  He was fired and brought back and now is the most valuable company, share for share, on Wall Street.  To me it is fascinating, excellence residing in one man, plus 30,000 employees including the retail stores.

Even Steve Jobs, after all of his success, had people telling him what he couldn't do:  open retail stores.  People go into Apple stores like kids going into candy stores.  It is part of the aura.  I've only been in the Boston Apple store, because I don't usually shop.  I got out my iPhone, used maps, and it was three blocks.
>>> I barely walk to the bathroom, but I'll walk to an Apple store.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#4:  Don't Hippies hate successful entrepreneur capitalists?
Not only was Steve Jobs a capitalist, he was an entrepreneur.  The protestors burn flags like the Apple flag.  Snerdley is a little offended by the comparison of Steve Jobs to Thomas Edison, had patents on things that didn't exist.  Steve Jobs created things better that already existed.  The Walkman existed before the iPod, (300,000 vs millions).
>>> Steve Jobs left people in the dust.

Seg#6:  Keywords
(Theme Music) Back to Obama, just for a second {sigh}.  We have a president with a perverse mind.  "If the Jobs Bill doesn't pass, the economy could get worse."  It will continue to get worse if he continues in office.  He is a fraud in the Oval Office.  Jobs are down by 2million.

His massive tax bill he calls a "jobs bill".    I don't like a president who threatens me.  He looks at me as more of an enemy, and other successful people, more than al-Qaeda.  Soros money is funding this and he also hates America.

Steve Jobs was all about profit, not market share.  Last year Apple was called one of the least charitable.  Steve Jobs cut when he came back and the programs have never been restored, so he was attacked.  CNN.Money had the story.  National Review commented ((Reading: The Apple and Steve Jobs contributions to the world are the products.  Plus he gave people their livelihoods.))

Walter Williams talked against the requirement to "give something back".  Their work is their contribution.  The people that need to give back are the thieves!  Steve Jobs was fearless and didn't care what people said of him.

Both Apple and Thomas Edison defended their patents vigorously.  Samsung tries to sue Apple since Apple uses their components.  Don't be afraid of lawyers standing in the way of creativity.  The wonderment of how things work is also important to me.  Anything that engages my brain keeps me from thinking about me.  Obama sits around worshiping himself. Most people don't.

All through my life, every success that I have had, I feel like I missed out on the real fun.  For example, I started as a DJ, getting fired seven times, and I look back and ask, "Could I do that again?"  It was similar to difficulties of many other people.  I had a constant believe that some day I would be the best.

There were only three networks, and talent was rare.  Those people at that level, they may have been Commie-bastards, but they were good!  It was rare and it passed me by.  Others said, "You created your own Golden Age", but I didn't look at it that way.  I'm not talking about content here.  To do this story justice would take an hour.  [[Write another book, Rush .!. ]]

Every element of my success, I say, "Damn it!  I wish it had happened back then."  Now everybody has a blog and a radio show.  I know, Snerdley, there is only one number one.  I am trying to explain the allure of greatness, to me.  I would have loved to have been inside Apple to see how it was done.  [[ED: I was there once—invited to a three-day panel of Mac user-group leaders.]]

I like being a consumer.  OK, anybody can be a consumer,   . . .
>>> unless you don't have money and are protesting on Wall Street.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#7:  Do you prosecute Dodd and Frank?  Clinton and Reno? Fannie?
Caller: Common denominator (Tea Party & Protestors) is lack of prosecution.  There was the Bail Out and nobody was prosecuted at Fannie & Freddie.
There was fear of government.  Barack Obama is telling banking what they can and can't charge.  Bill Clinton gave them houses, making banks loan money.  Janet Reno threatened prosecution if they didn't make those loans.  I am not coming to the defense of bankers.  Leftists micromanaged and destroyed.

You may call it criminal but they figured out the way to pass the buck down the line.  To get to the root, you have to go to Clinton, aided by Freddie and Fannie.  Leaders there personally profited.  The regulators in the Bush Adm were shouted down by Dodd and Frank.
>>> Put them all in jail for all I care.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#8:  Obama/Reid's Senate jobs bill won't pass the House
Remember the bailouts:  most of the banks were forced to take $50billion.  Hank Paulsen called them into a room and locked the door, "You are not getting out of this room until you all sign."  Wells Fargo didn't want the money and blew the whistle.

The government made a profit when all banks paid loans back with interest.

The subprime thing is being rerun, forcing banks to open branches in dangerous neighborhoods, forcing the level of their fees.  Obama is running on you hating the banks.  He got you to hate Oil, and car companies, drug companies.  They say these corporations are out to kill us and destroy Earth.  Banks are just the latest in their war.  It is by design and nothing in common with Tea Party.

People in the Tea Party have jobs and participating is their first.

EPA is attacking farmers, truckers, and coal miners.  HUD had destroyed the housing market, not the banks.  Clinton, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Janet Reno, did this.  Their home is the most important investment many people make in their lifetime.  Now Obama blames everybody but himself.

Massive deficit spending is destroying your pension.  Obama is just an innocent bystander telling us we have to get control of our spending. To get reelected, he does not give a 'damn' who is hurt and destroyed.  Dirty Little Secret, Obama is not just for occupying Wall Street, but also Main Street.  All this talk about tax cuts for companies for hiring.  Big Whoop!  He has crosshairs on every business, large and small, and tax increases for everybody.

Now Reid and Democrats want to tax millionaires and billionaires.   They do not talk about $250K anymore, but will tax everyone.   Politico writes about the changing Democrat rhetoric.  The only Democrats who do not want to tax the middle class are Democrats in the House.
>>> Many of them are up for reelection, and is why Obama's bill won't pass.

Seg#9:  Whatever their feeling and motives, Liberals must be defeated
Caller-NY: Steve Jobs was a role model.  Others don't get the spotlight.
In my early days I was obsessed with getting through to the mind-numbed Left—not anymore.  They have been brainwashed. Engage on their level?

((Clip-Herman-Cain:  These protests are orchestrated to support the failed policies of President Obama.  Don't blame Wall Street. If you don't have a job and are not successful, blame yourself.))  We are dealing with robots, programmed.

The main problem that they have is they are bored and feel worthless.  They want relevance and to be noticed.  Rather than talk to them, defeat whom they represent.
>>> The Leftist Liberals they work for have to be defeated.

Where has the time gone?  Second hour is over.  We still have one to go.
>>> Don't worry, the third and last hour will be 'jammed packed'.
ED: Traveling through Las Vegas we hear about "Occupy Las Vegas" to protest no jobs.

Seg#11: Setting Romney out in November 2012 by blaming Wall Street
(Music) Why did Steve Jobs drop out of college?  Too expensive.  ((Reading: I could not see the value of it.  I didn't know what I wanted to do in life and didn't see how college could help me figure it out.  I didn't want to waste my parent's money.))

((Reading: Bridget Nickerson pulled over to the side of the freeway, to the hospital, then taken to jail.  She sues because handcuffs were too tight and she had to listen to Rush Limbaugh on Oct 12th, 2010.))  The judge dismissed all charges in Houston.

No surprise her favorite shows are Hard Ball and Maddow.  We don't make derogatory comments about Black people, just Liberals.

The job market remained week, Labor Dpt reporting.  Unemployment was once again quietly adjusted up a week later. DbM is exhausted reporting it and nothing is surprising.

Obama Team and The Regime wants to run against Mitt Romney.  How long have these asto-turf eruptions been planned?  Remember a million people showing up in Los Angeles?  It was all orchestrated.  Snerdley suggests it is low turnout.  That is because they have not made enough sleeping bags yet.  Only 500?  That's a shame.  How many people are paid to show up?

How long have these protests been talked about?  There are people within the Republican establishment that want everybody to unite now, just give it to Romney.  They don't want what happened last time in 2008.  By coincidence, Romney is Wall Street.  He founded a company on Wall Street.

DbM hits on other candidates but not on Romney.  He is untouched and unscathed.  I have been thinking about the movie "Wag The Dog" using TV to convince people of a fictitious war to elect a president.  Robert DeNero is followed into a coffee shop and said [ED: static going under NV Hoover Dam powerlines.]  It would have to go on in a lot of cities.  All you need is 250 people and DbM for the illusion.

Once thing they forgot is to recruit some minority people.  Obama is not attracting huge crowds anymore.  They create the illusion the crowds are big and for Obama.  There no DbM hits on Romney;   they blame Wall Street and the rich.

>>> DbM wants to take Romney out after they see to it he is the nominee.

_____________________________________________________________
Segment#12:       Fast & Furious is the tip of the iceberg
Be wary of robo-calls to get your SS#;  rather get LifeLock to protect identity.

Caller: Press doesn't ask Obama about Fast & Furious? He defends Holder.   This is the tip of the iceberg and is like tax evation of Al Capone.
You are right and Republicans are demanding an investigation.  CNN will not let anyone talk to the reporter that broke the story about Eric Holder.  She seems to have disappeared.
>>> I think somebody should drive by her house.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#13:  Democrats endorse Protests but not Obama's Tax Bill
Obama denies knowing about Fast and Furious and stands behind Holder.
Caller: Should I buy a Macintosh?  Is it easy to make the transition.
Windows is a copy of Macintosh;  'Parallels' lets you run Windows, and I do to run a security program.  There aren't any new versions of Windows—always a year off.  Try Macintosh OS Lion, cool, and will blow you away with track-pad. I'll send you a 15" or a 17" MacBook Pro.

Caller: Students in calculus get it;  others just follow along.
No question, they have been cheated in education.  They have been encouraged to hate and be happy with others being hurt. Some parents are happy to get them out of the house.

((Reading Boston Globe:   Crowds are growing and drawing in all types and kinds of life.  Gripes were unclear.  They say they were inspired by the Arab Spring.  Nurses attend.  Occupy Boston leader was asked to identify goals:  unemployment.  A few were arrested for assaulting police officers.))

The Tea Party rallies were orderly and didn't attack cops.

>>> More Democrats in Congress have endorsed the protests
>>>>>     in cities than have endorsed Obama's jobs bill.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#14:  The cover up by The Regime continues   . . .
Obama did answer a question on Fast & Furious, claiming he just found out.  If you just found out a department was running an illegal operation and 250 people are dead because of the drug cartel, how would you react?  Obama reacted like nothing happened.   There was no curiosity about it. They want to just sweep it away.

((Reading: You don't get people to like you by attacking them.  President Obama ought to be praising success.))
>>> Bob Johnson is splitting from Barack Obama.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#15:  Politico uses a picture of Steve Jobs to prop up Obama
They write, "Steve Jobs met repeatedly to create jobs for Obama."
>>> That is the what you get with media bias.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Without Delay"
Ever since his September 8 "jobs speech," Obama has been campaigning around the country, supposedly trying to gin up support for Congress to "pass this bill" without delay. He neglects to mention that his fellow Democrats didn't submit his bill in the House. This gave Texas Republican Louie Gohmert the opening to submit a genuine tax-cut bill, co-opting the name "American Jobs Act," that Obama wanted for his job-killing bill.
But there has finally been some action on Obama's jobs bill in the Senate. Republican leader Mitch McConnell announced he was ready to take an immediate vote on the bill, which he opposes. He told the Senate that President Obama "makes an important point," that his bill is entitled to a vote.
Sadly, Obama's bill wasn't voted on. Because Democrats objected. Their leader, Dingy Harry Reid, called Republican efforts to vote on Obama's bill "without delay" a "political stunt." Then Reid went into closed-door meetings with Democrats to try to strip Obama's bill of tax increases Democrats don't want to vote on. On Air Force One, Obama press secretary Jay Carney accused Republicans of "gamesmanship." For wanting to vote on Obama's jobs bill now. Without delay.
All this proves one thing. The only "job" Obama and the Democrats are interested in is the job they are doing on the American people! They don't want his stupid bill voted on; they never did. They just want political talking points  to deflect attention away from the massive unemployment that defines the Obama economy!

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"Liberals want to talk about corporations and profits. Well, how about rich unions that don't pay one penny in federal income tax? And they make lots of profit. They shouldn't be tax exempt."
"These Democrats in the Senate who are up for reelection, the last thing they want to do is go on record voting for this thing with all these tax increases in it. I don't think Dingy Harry has enough votes to give all those guys a pass. He's got too many senators up for reelection."
"You cause the banking fees to go up with the Dodd-Frank regulatory reform bill, and when that happens you create a new bureaucracy to deal with it. It's the way of the world for these people."
"You know, for 30 years we've been told by the Democrats that children are the future. Save the children. Now we see what they've become. They're not the future. They're a total mess. There is no future. These people are all there is. Pack it in, folks."
"Here you have Barack Obama who wants to raise taxes and he's going out and he's quoting Ronald Reagan, who everybody knows is famous for what? Cutting taxes."
"Sharyl Attkisson once invited me to be her guest at the White House Correspondents Dinner, which I graciously turned down. She thought it would raise the roof off the place, which it would have. I didn't want to sit at the CBS table."
"Who in the world knits their own sleeping bags and has a board of directors meeting about it for an hour before they decide? These protestors! You know, I wouldn't doubt if we're not careful the next president of this country is gonna come out of this group."
"I'm a wordologist. Words are my business, so I listen very carefully to the words other people use."
"It isn't gonna be long, folks, before we are going to hear that the Republicans gave the protesters blankets that were infected with smallpox. You wait. Some of these people are gonna get sick, gonna blame it on Republican donations to try to thin the herd."
"These protestors are urging the reelection of a guy who's doing exactly what they say they detest. They're just dumb."
"How come nobody at the regime ever talks about trying to bring the cost of education down? It's 'cause their buddies work there and that's their standard of living."
"My mom always told me not to laugh at people dumber than me. Sometimes I can't help it."
"My guess is that there is a whole lot of Reagan Democrats in these labor unions. There are a whole lot of conservatives in these labor unions. They've got no control over how their dues are spent, but they do control how they vote, and I don't think they support the welfare state like this."
"We used to talk about welfare queens, now we now have welfare punks."
"Obama's jobs bill was never intended to be signed, the bill was never intended to be passed. It's there for the express purpose of allowing Obama and the Democrats to say the Republicans are the obstructionists. "
"Washington has nothing to do with job creation. As we've seen the last two and a half years, what Washington does is destroy jobs. What Washington does is put obstacles in the way of economic growth that would lead to job creation."
"Yeah, well, why are you [Dingy Harry] reacting to it, slimeball? What a snake. You know, the piece of paper that this transcript is printed on is greasy. I can barely hold onto the piece of paper. What a slickster!"
"This is why I called on the State-Controlled Media. It has been 92 days since the White House press corps asked Jay Carney about Fast and Furious. Ninety-two days."
"What will the Wall Street crowd do for bathrooms? Well, no, no, no, no, you wouldn't see Port-A-Potties, someone would have to pay for them. They probably go into Starbucks."

POSTED ON BY SCOTT JOHNSON IN CULTURE
I learned from reading the Wall Street Journal obituary on Steve Jobs that he had been given up for adoption at birth. I didn't know that.
Jobs's biological parents were not married at the time of his birth in 1955, though they subsequently married and divorced. According to one online profile of Jobs's birth mother (Joanne Schieble Simpson), financial circumstances played a role in her giving her son up for adoption. If abortion had been available then as it is now, you have to wonder if Steve Jobs would have been born alive.

_____________________________________________________________
There is perhaps no greater image of irony tonight than that of anti-capitalist, anti-corporate, anti-materialist extremists of the Occupy Wall Street movement paying tribute to Steve Jobs — the co-founder, chairman and former chief executive of Apple Inc., who passed away this evening.
While the Kamp Alinsky Kids ditch school to moan about their massive student debt, parade around in zombie costumes, and whine about evil corporations while Tweeting, Facebook-ing, blogging, and Skype-ing their "revolution," it's the doers and producers and wealth creators like Jobs who change the world. They are the gifted 1 percent whom the #OWS "99 percent-ers" mob seeks to demonize, marginalize, and tax out of existence.
Inherent in the American success story of the iPhone/iMac/iPad is a powerful lesson about the fundamentals of capitalism. The Kamp Alinsky Kids scream "People over profit." They call for "caring" over "corporations."
But the pursuit of profits empowers people beyond the bounds of imagination.
I am blogging on an iMac. When I travel, I use my MacBook Pro. I Tweet news links from my iPhone. My kids are learning Photoshop and GarageBand on our Macs. I use metronome, dictation, video, and camera apps. I use Apple products for business, pleasure, social networking, raising awareness of the missing, finding recipes, and even tuning a ukulele.
None of the people involved in conceiving these products and bringing them to market "care" about me. They pursued their own self-interests. Through the spontaneous order of capitalism, they enriched themselves — and the world.
Eleven years ago, I wrote about one of my favorite economics essays: Leonard Read's "I, Pencil." He turned a mundane writing instrument into an elementary lesson about free-market capitalism. What goes for the pencil goes for any of the products Steve Jobs introduced to the world.
"I have a profound lesson to teach," Read wrote in the voice of a lead pencil. "I can teach this lesson better than can an automobile or an airplane or a mechanical dishwasher because–well, because I am seemingly so simple. Simple? Yet, not a single person on the face of this earth knows how to make me."
Read traces the rich, deep genealogy of the metaphorical little pencil from the loggers who harvest its cedar wood grown in Oregon, to the millworkers in San Leandro, California, who cut the wood into thin slats, to the railroad employees who transport the wood across the country, to the graphite miners in Ceylon and refinery workers in Mississippi, to the farmers in the Dutch East Indies who produce an oil used to make erasers.
All these people, and many more at the periphery of the process, have special knowledge about their life's work in their separate corners of the earth. But none by himself has the singular knowledge or ability to give birth to a pencil. Few will ever come in contact with the others who make the production of that pencil possible. It's not because they "care about each other" that they cooperate to deliver any one good. It's the result of self-interest, multiplied millions of times over.
As Read explains it: "Neither the worker in the oil field nor the chemist nor the digger of graphite or clay nor any who mans or makes the ships or trains or trucks nor the one who runs the machine that does the knurling on my bit of metal nor the president of the company performs his singular task because he wants me." Indeed, there are some among this vast multitude who never saw a pencil nor would they know how to use one. Their motivation is other than me. Perhaps it is something like this: Each of these millions sees that he can thus exchange his tiny know-how for the goods and services he needs or wants."
Read pushed the lesson of pencil further. "There is a fact still more astounding: The absence of a master mind, of anyone dictating or forcibly directing these countless actions which bring me into being. No trace of such a person can be found. Instead, we find the Invisible Hand at work."
This spontaneous "configuration of human energies" is repeated endlessly in our daily lives. Think of the countless and diverse people involved in producing a Slinky, jump rope, or baseball, a diaper, refrigerator, desktop computer, Boeing 747, or iPhone.
Appreciating this voluntary configuration of human energies, Read argued, is key to possessing "an absolutely essential ingredient for freedom: a faith in free people. Freedom is impossible without this faith."
Indeed. Without that faith, we are susceptible to the force of class-warfare mobs and the arrogance of master planners in Washington who believe the role of private American entrepreneurs, producers, and wealth generators is to "grow the economy" and who "think at some point you have made enough money."
The progressives who want to bring down "Wall Street" will snipe that Steve Jobs was one of "theirs," not "ours."
He belonged to no one. He was transcendently committed to excellence and beauty and innovation. And yes, he made gobs of money pursuing it all while benefiting hundreds of millions of people around the world whom he never met, but who shed a deep river of tears upon learning of his death tonight.
Such is the everlasting miracle of the spontaneous configuration of human energies. Teach your children well.

Happy Thursday, the 15th anniversary of Fox News Channel !    I think I am the only person in the same time slot.  Congratulations to Roger Ailes.

I love my iPhone, iPad (one and two), thanks to Steve Jobs.   None of the protestors know how much the 1% pay of the total tax burden and we will prove that by asking some of them.  Half of the country pays no income tax.  Steve Jobs made the world a better place.  The way to success is to provide goods and/or services to others.
