Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Monday, 3/26/12
Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening: Supreme Court takes six hours of argument.
Segment#1: Supreme Court holds America in the balance
I'll lead you through the confusion. Can the Obamacare Mandate be called a tax? They look first about jurisdiction. It looks like they will sidestep that for now and go ahead and hear it. If it is a tax, then The Regime could just go ahead.
If it settles on being a tax, then The Regime has a political campaign problem, having said that nobody's tax would go up under Obama. TIAI would say, "You can't be sued for being taxed before you have been taxed." Heritage Foundation goes over it in great lengths.
Fascinating how DbM focuses on how conservative justices will vote, and whether they can be pressured by media to see it the 'right way'. The arguments are now over, and would have had to wait till 2015 had they decided the Mandate is a tax. Gallop Poll shows Americans show 72% to 20% believe forcing Americans is unconstitutional, even Democrats.
Even in an election year, The Regime doesn't care about opinion.
When Obama says that somebody in the hospital had a life saved because of Obamacare, nobody believes it — just one or two cases. ((Clip-Howard-Dean: The Supreme Court will declare the Individual Mandate unconstitutional.))
If this were a straight up-and-down examination of the law, it would be unconstitutional, but there are politics involved. How was this ever shoved down?" In Austin TX, Feb 21 2008, Obama spoke against Hillary Clinton ((Clip-Obama: [By Hillary] It's a mandate on individuals to purchase it. In order for you to force people to get [Hillarycare or Obamacare] you have a very harsh penalty.))
>>> Campaigning against Hillary, he opposed the Mandate; (now flips).
Seg#2: Citizens need to be free to sign, or not sign, binding contracts
One correction, there is one poll has Obamacare disapproval under 50% since CBS poll has that at 47%; but read the story to find only 36% approve it. They advertise their poll with the wrong headline.
For two years, DNC, The Regime, Obama and democrats have not been able to convince the American people. Everyone disapproves, including the braindead generation living in MTV and pop culture. They also don't buy into Global Warming.
Every third of fourth generation stands up and says, "You know what? We are not going to live this way. We reject the madness." I believe we are at the beginning. "We are not going to live with what has been given us."
FoxNews indicates that the Supreme Court will not stall but go ahead.
George Will had a column on Obamacare briefs going to the Supreme Court, and talks about one. Elizabeth Price Foley and Steve Simpson, Institute for Justice (a Libertarian think tank).
((Reading: Incompatible with precedent; you can't be forced to sign a contract.
www.kansascity.com/2012/03/24/3508792/obamacare-goes-against-basic-law.html It's a different way of illustrating unconstitutionality.
You can't compel citizens to sign contracts with insurance companies.
>>> You cannot legislate a law from which there is no escape.
Segment#3: Without all the facts, Obama flames the fires of racism
Obama tells Russia President Medvedev "Just hold off until I get reelected and then I'll have more flexibility", to disarm unilaterally with no conditions; go tell Putin. www.theblaze.com/stories/obama-caught-on-hot-mic-tells-russian-pm-hell-have-more-flexibility-after-my-election/
When the unemployed start again looking for work, they make the unemployment numbers look worse.
Interesting to extrapolate what the Supreme Court started on: If you cannot be forced into an illegal contract, they you have no mandate at all. Citizens will not just lay down and give their choices away. Obama and cohorts know this and that is why they want to coheres everyone.
This is how Statists try to dominate, points out Mark Levin. A massive State media is the only way Obama can get what he wants. Check out our latest Tweet (from @RushLimbaugh) to be in the pool to win the latest iPad. Just sign up to reTweet what we put up; you could win just by signing up.
In Sanford FL the new Black Panther leader puts up a $10,000 bounty for the man who killed Trayvon Martin. It sounds like the Duke LaCrosse case, before anybody knew the facts. The NYTimes said George Zimmerman was a white Hispanic. Also all of Drive-by Media call him a white Hispanic.
How can you have a 'bounty' on a man who hasn't been charged? No one says, "Can we cool this down a little bit?" People inflame and make it bigger, from the WH on down. In 2008, New Black Panthers intimidated voters; Holder wouldn't prosecute.
>>> New Black Panthers want Go's. brought to justice before them.
S#4: "He should fear for his life." Can the President tone this down?
"An eye for an eye; a tooth for a tooth", said the New Black Panther leader. George Zimmerman has gone into hiding, in fear for his life; and the leader says, "He should fear for his life."
Where is the president or attorney general to calm things down?
I've been expecting the president to stand up all weekend long, to speak against the bounty. I know he is in N.Korea, but he could still say something. I remember the 1990s during the Rodney King riots happened when officers were found 'not guilty'. President Bush had it looked into.
Shouldn't someone quell violence before the powder keg explodes even more?
>>> Obama has trouble with his base and is that the reason?
Seg#5: New Black Panthers want to raise $1million off this incident.
>> Hollywood-types are donating; 5,000 searching for Geo.Zimmerman.
Seg#6: Trayvon Martin killing is investigated a month later
(Theme Music) From National Review, a good article. ((Reading-Nordlinger: It is the Left that groups and victimizes them, not individuals. Does it occur to you that Michelle Obama is a Left-Winger or that she is Black?)) To me, I said I hoped he failed in Leftism, and everybody knew what I meant.
DbM had not vetted Obama; there was no journalistic curiosity and diligence.
((Reading: What if the victim had been Chinese? Or Jewish? What prompts [Obama] to say, "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon." Isn't the at the least important thing about the Trayvon Martin case? For what purpose does he say that, and what of the situation.))
((Reading on: Chris Rock asked Jesse Jackson, "What is it you actually do?" Now, Jesse Jackson says, "Blacks are under attack." That is what he does.))
There is cultural rot and Santorum's mistake is that he thinks a Majority sees things as he does. I do not understand POTUS not saying anything (or Eric Holder) when New Black Panthers offers a bounty. The Left sees things as political opportunities.
>>> As Dawn would say, "It is very sad . . ." It happened in February.
S#7: Supporting Drive-by Media assumes which side must 'compromise'
Genuinely troubling is that the four Liberal justices are not encouraged to be 'open minded', only Anthony Kennedy and the four Conservatives. DbM tries to bring pressure to go against the Constitution.
We have to rely on one or two Justices to protect the Republic?
That is precarious when Freedom is on the scales. Elena Kagan should have recused herself. Her job was to defend Obamacare. She should do that on her own as a matter of honor and legal ethics.
Obamacare is precisely why Obama nominated Elena Kagan. Obama wants to have an automatic vote for Liberalism/Marxism. The Solicitor General represents the government in trials before the Supreme Court. Republicans may try to do the same, without success. David Souter became Liberal over time.
DbM won't even ask Leftist on the court to be 'open minded'; they are there to just vote Obama's way.
Witness and security cameras caught three African American males fleeing the dorms, shortly after a 21-yr-old Mississippi U. student was shot multiple times.
Killers were not students.
>> Not much media coverage on the killing of John Sanderson (White).
Seg#8: Obama doubles-down on Socialism
Caller: Nobody wants Obamacare; We are $16TRILLION in debt.
Obama is doubling down for even more money and control. Once they get Obamacare, the game is over. Everything ties in. Liberals worry about paying for things after the fact.
Caller: It's not just the compulsorily policies, but also the Death Panels.
Dick Cheney waited 20 months for a heart transplant. You should see the hate on Left blogs, in contrast to what Obama says should not be. It is despicable and would make you sick. Don't go there.
Doesn't matter if Cheney could afford it, Leftist now wish there were Death Panels. "Somebody else should have gotten that heart."
ABC TV ((Clip-Dr: It used to extend life six years if they were over 65. Now age doesn't matter.)) What are we coming to under Obama?
>>> It should be up to you and doctors,
> not Sec of Health and Human Services.
Seg#9: Tim Tebow is such a good person and is undaunted by DbM
Preaching compassion, Leftists are the most hateful and closed-minded.
Tim Tebow is the first backup quarterback to have a massive press conference. "Was the thought of spreading your faith in your mind?" Tim Tebow is asked by The New York Times. ((Answer: The greatest way is how you live your life.))
Further, (Clip-Tebow: This is a conference to talk about NY Jets football.)
>>> ED: He then says he is a Christian, under Jesus Christ, (smile).
Seg#10: Would DbM ask a Muslim QB about his religious beliefs?
Seg#11: Understand how The Regime fudges unemployment numbers
(Music) Back, the real American Truth Detector. It has been almost a month since Trayvon Martin was killed in FL. Why so long? To not to interrupt the War on Women, or the War on ME?
In S.Korea Obama had a hot.mic situation ((Clip, muddled)) Let me read the transcript: ((Reading: this is my last election . . . I'll have more flexibility . . . Medvedev: I'll tell the new president, Putin. I understand and I stand with you.)) This reminds us of Reagan and Ted Kennedy, ((Wait till we get rid of Reagan and we'll be fine.))
Reagan Adm wanted to prevent USSR and supported freedom fighters. Jim Wright and others would go down to advise Noriega how to deal with Reagan to not embarrass Democrats. Reagan wanted money to support the Noriega opposition.
Noriega went to USSR to ask for $500million, and Jim Wright went down to tell Noriega to not embarrass them. "We don't support Communism" they told Americans. How would it be different it Democrats did?
So what is Obama telling others around the world, like Muslim Brotherhood.
((Clip-Bernanke: We cannot be assured economic growth will be sustained.)) If people think the economy is improving as Obama Team tells them, then those who were not looking for work will come back and unemployment will be reported up. He prepares press also for upcoming bad news.
((Clip-Santorum-ad: Gas prices through the roof; religion under attack; nuclear threat; welcome to Obamaville!)) That is gratifying, echoing my term. ((Clip-Archive-Rush: Americans are the target under Obamaville. What Hope and Change? I want to see Change tomorrow.))
((Clip-Santorum: Romney is the very worse person to put up. . . .)) [ED: Santorum pauses . . . and then tacks on about going against Obamacare.] ((Clip-DbM: You said Romney was worse than Obama)) ((Clip-Santorum: Would you guys stop distorting? Come on, man! It's Bull-____)) DbM loves it when they fluster you and take you off-message. He used the Bull-Bleep word.
David Gregory is talking to Plough. ((Clip: We will be glad when they call it Obamacare. Romney is the God-father of Obamacare. We will have a heyday.)) That's Santorum's point. Many think it is the reason Obama Team wants to run against Mitt Romney.
Adam Clymer was discussed by Bush and Cheney, off-mic but on-mic.
>>> George W Bush, "major league asshole"; Cheney reply, "Big time".
S#12: Rush Limbaugh references the conservative National Review, again
Caller-UT: Disabled Vet was judged to be "too young" for knee replacement.
He's 55; If you like VA Hospitals, you will love Obamacare. Gov't loves to turn people down: if your too fat, it won't work; and it too thin, it can't be done.
Mona Charen used the term on National Review, "It's ballgame over."
>>>>> That was in June 2009 and now things are even worse.
ED: We are subscribers to National Review, FYI.
Seg#13: When pushed, Noel Biderman stands up for America
Megyn Kelly talked to Noel Biderman, the CEO of Ashley Madison ((Clip: I love the country and threats have got to stop. I am increasing advertising on the Rush Limbaugh Show.))
There is no consumer boycott nor ad boycott going on. It is as phony as the Occupy Wall Street protests. David Brock is just jock-itch, little terrorist. They even admit they have had this in their drawer since 2009 and have tried it before.
Caller-SF-police-officer-now-in-Chicago. Axelrod knew there were 40 shootings mainly in Black neighborhoods in So.Chicago. Democrats 30-0 in favor of 'stand-your-ground'. An arrest should have been made. Mr Zimmerman had 'John Wayne Syndrome' overstepping bounds with four bad judgments.
He wanted to be a cop, self-appointed neighborhood watch guy. The facts we still don't know even though this happened almost a month ago. With a powder keg like this, you would think WH and Holder would try to calm things down.
Caller-still: Instead, Obama says his son would look like this.
I don't see Black and White, the Left does. What are we supposed to infer from Obama's comment? I don't even want to think that way. He didn't call the parents of other young murder victims. We have a dead 17-yr-old,
>>> and they are looking at it through a political prism.
Seg#14: Sign up for the free home-study Constitution 101 course
You should know more about our Constitution to watch the Supreme Court.
>>> College President Dr. Larry Arnn and others teach, on-demand.
Seg#15: When Conservatives don't like a show, they change the station
That is why they have no audience.
>>> When Liberals don't like a show, they cry, "Racism!"
Closing: See you tomorrow.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Good Policy"
To raise, or not to raise. That, my friends, was the question facing officials in California. I have two stories on this. First story: For 18,000 Los Angeles County employees, the answer was: "not to raise." No cost-of-living increases this year, thanks to the Board of Supervisors. Not granting raises, they say, will prevent layoffs and furloughs.
Among those affected: firefighters, probation officers, lifeguards, investigators for the DA, and sheriff's deputies. County workers haven't received cost-of-living raises since 2009.
Before you start crying, remember, most government workers' salaries exceed their private-sector counterparts. And last time I looked, Republicans aren't running LA's Board of Supervisors. Since Democrats and government workers' unions only blame Republicans for their problems, and since this decision is being hailed as "fiscal restraint during tough economic times," they all must think is a great policy.
Story two: After delivering a harsh financial forecast and slashing budgets that will deny admission for thousands of students the California State University trustees approved 10 percent pay hikes for two presidents. They got raised. With the increases, these presidents will enjoy salaries over $300,000 each. But wait. They also got a $12,000 car allowance. And, there's more. Each recipient was also entitled, and therefore granted, a $60,000 allowance, to offset their housing costs!
Last time I looked, the California State University trustees were not Republicans. These, are liberals. So, this case of the rich getting richer, while the poor students get kicked in the behind, why that must be good policy!

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments on Obamacare today, which makes the timing ideal to consider this news story from the cradle of socialized medicine, the United Kingdom. The article is titled "Elderly dying due to 'despicable age discrimination in NHS.'" Thousands of elderly people are dying unnecessarily early because "despicable" age discrimination in the NHS is denying them treatment for cancer, a charity has warned. A lack of treatment »
Jake Tapper reports another of Obama's moments of inadvertently shared candor, caught on microphone in Seoul: At the tail end of his 90 minute meeting with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev Monday, President Obama said that he would have "more flexibility" to deal with controversial issues such as missile defense, but incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to give him "space." The exchange was picked up by microphones as reporters were »
Saddle up, friends. It's going to be a busy news day.
The Supreme Court hears arguments on the constitutionality of Obamacare. Your road map is here.
North Korea is set to launch a long-range rocket toward Australia. While Japan and South Korea gird their loins and prepare to shoot any rockets down, President Obama is…making statements.
The Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman story rages on — and the Twitter vigilante mob keeps growing.
I was in Wisconsin for an Americans for Prosperity event over the weekend. You can read about it here, here, and here. A snippet:
Conservative pundit Michelle Malkin told a rally of conservative activists Saturday that "Wisconsin really is ground zero in the battle against the unhinged progressive left."
Malkin was a featured speaker at the Americans for Prosperity Foundation "Defending the American Dream Summit."
Malkin asked the crowd to stand and cheer for the conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who died earlier this year.

I'll have much more on Big Labor's recall efforts in Wisconsin against Walker, GOP state legislators, and Lt. Gov. Kleefisch. Stay tuned.
Supreme Court justices generally showed little sympathy Monday for the position that the court should wait until 2014 or after to decide on the challenge to Obama's health-care law, as three days of arguments opened. 11 min ago

PG: This sick premise should have been named "Killing Teens", in my opinion.
It targets our youth to desensitize the value of Life, like calling Abortion, "Choice".
"Many parents are being forced to make tough parenting decisions. They don't want to say no to their tween-age kids when it comes to the flick, but they just can't bring themselves to say yes to a movie where children kill other children."
"Psychologists say that parents have a reason to be worried. Reading about the violent death of children is one thing, but seeing it in a visual medium on the big screen is something entirely different, and possibly more damaging. The film, although rated PG-13, includes more than 20 deaths!" [Should be R-rated for theme.]
