Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Thursday, 4/26/12
Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening: DittoCam is up and running, me too.

Seg#1: Media is not even trying to spin the Obama Disaster anymore
Everybody, including visiting family and Joe Scaroughborough are asking if I'm OK. Why do they ask? Then it occurs they are asking about Romney. In a sane world, Democrats would have tossed Obama for Hillary and here new Spanx. Hillary and Weiner's Huma were at the Time bash.
This election will be an anti-Obama event in November.
At the Time 100 [most influential] had Hillary as Keynote Speaker. They put their influential list together as their party list. bin Laden would have been there. [Rush wipes his nose [DittoCam] and we wonder, "Is he OK?"] Hillary sent Huma over to the inventor of Spanx, Blakely. Huma doesn't need spanks.
Blakely is the youngest female billionaire, and didn't say if Hillary wears Spanx. Hillary could actually learn a lot from Sara Blakely. Women who don't need them, I am told, even when they don't need them to keep down the jiggle.
I'm fine and this election is about Obama-the-disaster. Media is not even trying to cover the Disaster up anymore. Number of people seeking unemployment benefits remains stuck high. 59 out of the last 60 weeks, the numbers are revised upward a week or two later. If this were a private business, the CEO would be fired.
The Obama Labor Dept and the Obama AP continue their game of revising every week. If you compare the first report to the prior first report, the unemployment is up slightly. You need to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges.
Drive-by Media malpractice 'journalists' are beside themselves with The Regime before the Supreme Court. They are 'gob-smacked' that the Supreme Court might actually go along with Arizona protecting their own border.
It is like yesterday when it never crossed their minds that the Supreme Court would remotely find Obamacare unconstitutional.
The Arizona law is not 'harmless', but all that it does is to have cops enforce the federal law. The Regime lawyer Verrilli could not find one exception to that, and all they can say is, "It's just mean and we need to be kind."
>>> Are we not always firm with lawbreakers?
Rush adds, "I'm not killing the woman's movement, it Spankx."
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#2: Is Hillary Rodham Clinton 'just' a secretary ?
What in the world has Hillary Clinton ever accomplished? Hillarycare? Arab Spring? The Middle East is falling apart. Why was she there as keynote speakers?
Affair, after affair, after affair; and Hillary stood by her husband. Now what is she—just a secretary? Does she wear Spanx?
>>> Where is she on defending America as the world superpower?
Rush Limbaugh is not pleased with our Secretary of State, around the world.

Seg#3: With a Conservative strong message Obama could lose
in a landslide .!. [ED: Help with the message]
I'm practically a 'lone wolf' on what I am going to tell you. We had our Big Chill weekend with friends of like minds at my mansion/home. Not just at dinner did we discuss professional politics—I'm a broadcaster and pay little attention to political consultants.
Every presidential election to them is to win the Independents.
If consultants had their way, they would win the majority of 20% (Independents). Why not win 100% of your base? By definition, Independents are not tied to one or the other party and what they stand for.
You want to win on Conservatism and stand by that after you win.
Strategists wring their hands about 'Independents' and look at what we got. We tie our own hands behind our backs to avoid confrontation. Independents like mushy, squishy messages? I don't think so. I am not a political professional but let's keep common sense. I know they say you have to win Ohio and Florida and send them with a geographical message. Sorry, it doesn't work for me.
Find the best Conservative message for America and stick with it.
Even if you do win by pandering, it is not real, and I live in Realville. The founding and success of America is the evidence that our message works.
At dinner: "Do you think Romney can win in November?" I was a little appalled by their thinking. Should be, "Can Obama win again?" When properly articulated, Conservatism works every time it is tried. Particularly against this kind of Liberalism/Marxism.
Going around the table they all started to count the state votes, very impressive. Most were filled with insecurity. I added "I'm not a professional strategist" and that being said Obama is going to lose in a landslide. It could happen, not saying that it will.
Democrats are scared and I illustrated that. There is not one thing positive Obama can cite. We don't have a sane, just world; but if we did, Obama would be laughed out of office.
Pollsters call and people don't want to say they are against the First Black President. We are in Jimmy Carter's second term, only worse. So I am not wringing my hands over positions taken by Romney. Romney will surprise a lot of people, I told them.
Romney is running a much different campaign than Maverick McCain.
>>> Properly, there were be attacks on The Regime and Obama record.
"Romney is the nominee" and his Conservatism will surprise many.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#4: Obama is left with only the votes of the hardcore Marxists
Remember the 'War on Women' stuff? Romney is leading HUGE with Independents right now. This is not a normal election. People are losing their freedoms, their debt piling up (passed on for generations) and they do not want to lose the country.
The days of driving Independents to Democrats are over. Nobody wants to run to Obama. Not one single person wants four more years of Obama.
>>> >>> >>> Not one !

Seg#5: We'll get to your phone calls next. [ED: Quotes sent you soon.]
I can see from phone calls I have done more than 'scratched the surface'.
>>> Don't go anywhere. [ED: Going with Lynnette to a meeting.]

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Entitle-mess"
The "trustees" who report on Social Security and Medicare have new projections. The funds that pay for Social Security are now projected to run out in 2033, three years earlier than previously reported. With Medicare, the good news is: it isn't going broke sooner than previously reported. The bad news is: it's going broke sooner than Social Security, it's supposed to tank by 2024.
Among the factors trustees blamed for the gloomy projections are high prices for energy, which they say are depressing wages. They also project people will work fewer hours, even as the economy "recovers." That trends mean lower payroll tax receipts.
There are other problems for these entitlements. Let's not forget, Obama pushed through a major payroll tax cut, which funds both Social Security and Medicare. Also, baby boomers are retiring in droves. As usual, the trustees begged lawmakers to fix the entitlement mess now.
Now everything about this report ought to be flung right in Obama's and Democrats' faces. Not only are Obama's payroll tax cuts weakening Social Security and Medicare, they didn't stimulate the economy. And it is Democrats who adopted the radical environmentalist ideology responsible for high-energy prices.
Whenever a Republican tries to fix Social Security or Medicare, be it George Bush back then, or Paul Ryan right now, the very Democrats who are destroying the entitlements, demonize those attempting to fix the problem. Broke, is coming. Sooner than you think. And it's not going to be pretty.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"Scalia asked the solicitor general, Verrilli, 'What does sovereignty mean if it doesn't include the ability to defend your borders?'"
"You know, under Clinton, government spending was 18% of GDP, which is a national average from beginning to end. It's at 21% now with Obama, on the way to 23% and 25%. Clinton cut capital gains taxes and Clinton probably said, 'Sock it to me!' to Monica. He just didn't do it on Laugh-In. But I'm sure he did it to Monica in that little study off of the Oval Orifice."
"What a terrific speech by Romney last night. It was his best, and you know why? Because it was conservatism from front to back. Now, I know, there are many people who are still asking, 'Yeah, but did he mean it?' We'll find out, but for the moment, for what it was, it was awesome."
"January 16th of 2009, Wall Street Journal calls, 'We want 400 words on what your hopes for Obama are as this historic new presidency is inaugurated.' And they told me they were going to be asking a lot of other people to submit 400-word little mini-essays, going to publish them in the op-ed pages of the Wall Street Journal. I wrote back and I said, 'I don't need 400 words or 200 words. I can do it in four words: I hope he fails.' And reactions were predictable."
"Passion is a key to anything. When you lose the passion, gosh, you lose so much. And I would not let Barack Obama destroy my passion for whatever it is I have just because he likes it, too. Or because, in the sports team case, the owner happens to endorse him. Life's too short."
"One thing you have to understand if you're new to the program, I'm not interested in being wrong. I'm not going to lie or make something up just to advance my agenda. There's no point in that. We are too rooted in substance and the pursuit of truth, and frankly, I am burning with passion for you to know the truth."
"Make no bones, folks, I know it sounds sort of incomprehensible, but I'm telling you that the Democrat Party is looking at as many illegals as possible turning into voters. That's why they don't want photo ID at the polling place. It is the number one reason why."
"You want to get people to vote for you? Particularly if you're Republican, you want to get people to vote for you? Just articulate conservatism to them. But if you're going to pander to people as members of groups, then you first have to treat them as victims, and that's insulting. As far as I'm concerned, I don't want to attract people to my side of the aisle by telling them they're victims and I'm going to take care of them."
"Illegal immigration is a big deal to the left because it's a source of voters. The Democrats are losing voters. They have to replace them. They're aborting voters. Literally! They are aborting their own future voters. They need new voters."
"It would not be too hard to find an economy around the world doing better than ours."
"There's no economic growth going on here and there's no real job creation happening here. And that's why illegal immigrants here are leaving at almost as rapid a rate as others are arriving."
"The Democrat Party's not the ticket to a better life."
"The news that I'm sharing with you is coming from the Washington Times, the quotes from Justices Sotomayor and Scalia in the oral arguments. Here, Scalia asked, 'What does sovereignty mean if it does not include the ability to defend your borders?' Which is right up there with his broccoli question."
"I have never understood why this is complex or why it's complicated. The state of Arizona wants to protect its borders. They want the federal government to enforce the law. Federal government isn't, so Arizona wrote their own, basically replicating federal law. Obama sues Arizona. Obama doesn't want photo ID to vote. It's clear what's going on."
"The Democrats look out across this country and see teams of incompetent people; teams of inept people who need guidance, assistance and to be taken care of. So you work on the line for 30 years, then you quit, and get your pension and your health care for the rest of your life. And that's America. And that's the nostalgia. And that's what Obama's trying to recreate, only this time with green jobs."
"I have a hard time believing that the economic choices being made by this administration are on purpose. Stuff that's being done is being done purposefully."
"The Democrat Party must have a permanent underclass. That's the voting base. The 'permanent underclass' is simply poor people who have no alternative but than to vote Democrat for a meager subsistence."
"If you're coming to the United States for a better life, you better not vote Democrat. You're not going to get a better life. You're going to get a life of dependence and your going to end up being in a permanent underclass."
"The Democrats need people to be dependent on government so that the people are dependent on Democrats."

Sen. Richard Lugar trials conservative challenger Richard Mourdock by a margin of five points – 44 to 39 – according to a new poll by Wenzel Strategies. The poll was conducted for Citizens United, a group that supports Mourdock. According to the poll, self-described Tea Party conservatives back Mourdock by 63 to 24. This cohort represents 36 of those polled. Lugar leads among those in the remainder of the sample. »

The Claremont Review's Charles Kesler once quipped that "Social Darwinism" is the only kind of Darwinism that liberals oppose, and there is a lot to this, starting with the fact that, as I argued here a few days ago, liberals are the true Social Darwinists of modern times. Eldon Eisenach, one of the more interesting historians to have written about Progressivism in recent decades, noted in the early 1990s that »

With the slow fade of the climate change issue toward political oblivion, the green authoritarians need a new bandwagon to jump on and flog. And so this headline in Scientific American online is manna from heaven: "World Governments Establish Biodiversity Panel." It's clearly from the "if-at-first-you-don't-succeed-at-the-UN-try-try-again" school: Governments from more than 90 countries have agreed to establish an independent panel of scientists to assess the very latest research on the »
