Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening: The WH hasn't had this much leaking . . .
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#1: 'Be true to yourself and you will be true to others', Shakespeare
. . . since Billy Carter unzipped and watered the Rose Garden, remember? The Rose Garden was his favorite target. Welcome aboard, 800-282-2882 and send a note to ELrushbo@EIBnet.com Whenever there is a wipe-out, it is time for a truce.
Obama did not correct himself after saying "The private sector is doing fine!" and only said, 'I came here because the economy is not doing fine.'
The private sector to them consists of cops, firemen, and city municipalities, many of them unionized, and that is their key. Romney doesn't oppose cops and firefighters. Yes, he wants less government. Media says there was a 'gaffe' but they fail to not it was Obama's, not Romney's. It is not trivial when the president of the United States doesn't understand. So Halperin offers a truce.
((Clip: Despite what your youth soccer trophy says, you are not 'special'.)) Oh, no! You are not supposed to hurt and criticize the children. The commencement speaker tells the HS grads they enter the real world.
((Clip: You've been pampered and bubble-wrapped. Etc. You've been fawned over and we've been to your games. Do not get the idea you are 'special'.)) Dawn winches but I agree. 'Commencement' means you begin. He is telling these students the best thing they can hear.
((Clip: 3.2 million seniors are graduating at 37,000 High Schools and that means 37,000 valedictorians. Your planet is not the center of the universe, and your universe is not the center of the galaxy. There are 6.7billion on the planet. You will need to work to fit in and excel.)) He tells them, 'You had better learn this, and very fast.'
'Selflessness' is not 'Selfishness'. ((Clip: Think about more important things. Climb the mountain so you can see the world, not so the world can see you. Etc. Do good for the other 6.8billion. Selflessness is the best thing you can do for yourself. Everyone is special!))
>>> His father, David McCullough is the famed historian.
1776 is a book by David McCullough.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#2: Are our youth ever told they will find a cruel, cold world?
How many of those HS seniors heard that idea for the first time? What used to be reality has been perverted: lowering standards in sports, college entrance, exams to become a cop or firefighter.
Some of the cultural problems and decline/decay come from this, "you are special and better than anybody else."
Yes, my Mother did tell me I was something special. David, too.
>>> I'll tell you the context when we come back.
ED: Some have a 'Black attitude', in sports and life, "Get out of my way, you owe me."
ED2: Obama, Tiger Woods, others were given a "You are Special" path that hurt them.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#3: Don't laugh — You know that Rush is always Right
A high school has called for banning football. We'll talk about it.
My Mother did tell me I was special (not because I had been born) but when I was 28 and had been fired five times from radio stations. There are not many aged 30 playing Donny/Marie Osmond records and haven't moved on.
Lily Tomlinson (Laugh In) was in town and station suggested I do an interview. I spoke to her and suggested she call in and say she was monitoring my calls. I sent the tape to my Mother and she commended my talent and encouraged me not to quit.
The operative motto for adults when I grew up, "Children are to be seen, not heard." They were encouraged but not pampered [except by grandparents].
Another story, a host/hostess wanted a party without kids. I told them, "invite them and tell them and some make the decision to not come." My parents would never say, "but we have to bring Rusty and David." My Dad would say, "The world does not owe you a living", and now we have minorities believe the world does.
Obama has that attitude. He has trouble with people not reacting to him in awe.
Have parents had a 'fit' over the HS commencement speech? I don't know. I don't want to sound like an olde-fuddy-duddy, but there are clearly right and wrong ways to raise children. What is 'fairness' anyway?
Everybody is different. Exercise can hurt some people. We have efforts to cocoon everybody with a Leftist Agenda. Life is not painless and you do not get what you want just because you are 'special'.
If you get to adulthood with this attitude you expect lifetime pensions and healthcare benefits. Who planted that notion? Thanks to Scott Walker a bunch of Republican governors are getting a steel spine. They are telling Mitt Romney to not forget what was done in Wisconsin.
Comparing HS football to gladiators, principle Patty Sexton in MA says it is no longer appropriate to fund gladiators. ((Reading: I'm extremely sued we will be sued over high school sports.)) I warned you. Once it starts it never goes away. Liberals do not stop.
>>> Everybody laughs at the busybody but I'm predicting for you.
Rush Limbaugh suggests you could be surprised at how it manifests itself.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#4: With Opportunity comes Responsibility .!.
David McCullough, Jr, was on TV ((Clip: Took me 26 years and two hours to write that speech. You see what kids need to be told.
>>> With opportunity comes responsibility.))
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#5: The speech and people watching — that's excellent!
In just one place, YouTube, that commencement speech has been viewed half a million times. Imagine now, after mentioning it on EIB network.
>>> It's such a novel experience that kids are seeking it out.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#6: North Dakota has enough surplus money to not charge a tax
(Theme Music) It is an honor, thrill and delight to serve you here. We've used this 'special' parody for 20 years. ((Satire: Memorization is a great way to teach math, spelling, and geography: let them be creative. I know who will get a smiley face. "Can I now go out and play?" New Age educators keep your kids stupid, but feeling good about themselves.))
A guy was hitchhiking across Montana writing a book about "Kindness in America" and get shot. If you are laughing, don't admit you heard it here.
Here's a shocker: citizens are reluctant to eliminate property taxes. The taxes are not necessary in this instance because an oil boom, but they feel the government may run out of money.
www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/state/state-house-panel-considers-eliminating-school-property-tax-636889/?print=1 Same in Kansas.
Unions oppose the elimination of their own property tax.

>>> You can excel, but you have to earn it.

Seg#7: Barack Hussein Kardashian, Celebrity in Chief
On Friday, Barack Hussein Kardashian, The Celebrity in Chief of the United States ((Clip-Obama: The private sector is doing fine . . . [[silence]] )) ((Parody singing: deep dark recession; you can't blame it on me; It won't be forgotten because it was so out of line; I could say, "I forget" or blame it on Biden; I could say I was joking, but Mitt Romney is the only one laughing.))
((Clip-Obama-trying to sound presidential and professorial)) As far as he is concerned and like he was educated, there is no problem in the private sector—if some lose their jobs, there are still 'rich' people there to tax.
((Clip-Obama: That is why I had the press conference . . . spent the last week, month, year to increase employment. Absolutely clear the Economy is not doing fine.)) What about the private sector?
He sees a golden goose. He's looking at government jobs being lost. Axelrod spells it out to Charley Rose ((Clip-Axelrod: He's said repeatedly that we need to create jobs. Romney misses it and says we don't need more teachers.)) Paul Krugman was on the same program. ((Clip-Krugman: That is an unfortunate line; fact is that the private sector is doing better than the public sector. Etc.)) Those are not private sector jobs.
>>> It is so instructive to listen to these Obama-supporting Liberals.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#8: It is hard to argue against artful deceivers, leaning on cops
All of the jobs Axelrod listed are paid for from citizen tax revenue and cut into the private sector. They appeal to you by bring up teachers, cops and firemen. You have to be careful in discussing what is good for kids. There is no growth in the economy when you add teachers. This is ignorance and Marxism 101.
To these people that is the 'private sector'. Does Obama know anybody in the private sector? Did he know anybody there before he took office? He worked in an office once and said he was behind enemy lines.
They harness fear, and the fix is more teachers, cops, and firefighters and that will increase the economy and the private sector. How do you explain their mindset, to be charitable. They want more public sector.
As far as they are concerned, this is their slinkiest way out of the comment. It is a slick ploy but it also so wrong. Policemen don't hire anybody. In his view, the private sector is fine. In case you forgot, The Big Stimulus was to keep union and teacher jobs. They don't build bridges and fix roads.
Obama joked about calling them 'shovel ready'. The private sector in their minds is to be punish and taxed. Folks, we are dealing with genuine idiots and that is being charitable. Rather they are deceitful and [ruining America].
>>> They clamor for more money, claiming that will fix the Economy.
Liberal Marxists are locked back in the 1930 mentality, no creativity.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#9: The Blaze has the report/video of the Romney/Republican ad
Romney For President has a new great ad: "Fine?" ((Clip-ad: Where we are seeing weaknesses in the economy have to do with state and local government. Here I am with no job; I have to work part time; 'The private sector is doing fine', repeat, repeat, No, Mr President, we are not doing fine.))
Caller-Canada-teacher: I'm special to listen to you. Yes, tell the HS kids.
Obama resents success in the private sector.
Caller-OK: Obama must explain how govt jobs increase economy.
I'm not being critical of cops, firemen and teacher jobs, just the spin of Obama/Axelrod. FDR had make-shift jobs, not creativity. It was 'morally' good to use shovels to dig holes and shovels to fill them back in. Marxism.
'Forward' is not what Obama wants, but back to 1930s by spending more and more money. There are countless other stories in the news, coming right up.
>>> North Dakota citizens will vote down reducing taxes because
> > > they worry that, some day, gov't may run out of money.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#10: A lot of talk that Obama had a 'bad week', but . . .
He didn't have to explain Fast&Furious; nor his economy comment;
there's not going to be a special prosecutor on secret security leaks.
>>> Maybe it wasn't a bad week for B.H. Kardashian, celebrity in chief.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#11: Pledge your lives/fortunes/honor www.RushForHillsdale.com
((Clip-Rohm_Emanuel: The economy is growing, but is still not healthy.)) It is getting crowded in the DNC doghouse. Democrats drift apart on private equity. These people are standing in quicksand and attack Bain Capital again.
You couldn't have a more loyal foot soldier than Lanny Davis. He kept Clinton in office during the Lewinsky scandal, and he did it above board. ((Clip: You have vicious people working for the president, saying Booker is 'dead' because he gave good advice.)) They are reflections of Obama.
You do not have too many 'accidents' getting hired. Obama surrounded himself with like thinking people. Ralph Nader says Bill Clinton undermines so that Hillary Rodham to run in 2016. Here's what is not is being said: they want to run Hillary against Romney, not Obama. Bill is not setting his wife up for 2012.
I know Bill Clinton has 'walked it back' after being taken to the woodshed. It is like a lawyer saying something in court and the judge says "you didn't hear that" to the jury, but they all did.
>>>> We'll see—but I think you will see that I am right.
Ad: 4th of July is on a Wednesday: Read Declaration of Independence from Hillsdale.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#12: Will Obama also 'kill' the oil boom in the Midwest?
Caller-ND: Obama wanted to 'kill the coal industry'. What about oil too?
Obama does everything he can to hamper Gulf oil and Keystone Pipeline. At issue is a referendum to limit property taxes in Kansas and nearby states. Tea Party members point to $3billion surplus from oil and new residence due to the boom. Unions fear the risk on prosperity that may not last.
Likely North Dakota voters oppose the move by three to one, to not lose the $800,000 from property taxation. Will Obama attack their industry? The kill list is not just terrorists, but private industry Big Oil. He hates fracking.
Do you realize how old the electric car idea is? 109 years ago it was proposed. Yet, we haven't gotten beyond the golf cart.
>>> You can understand ND people thinking Obama may attack.
_____________________________________________________________
Tie the ND oil boom to Wisconsin governor Scott Walker. Why isn't ND governor Dalrymple not pointed to as a success? We see revenue by increasing activity, not raising taxes. Unions are losing membership.
The Republican elite handbook to reach across the aisle was not needed. ((Clip-Mitch_Daniels: There is a reason that defenders of freedom said unions have no reason to be in government.)) Hear, here! And it is from Scott Walker. Now we can all join the club/chorus. ((Clip-Chris_Christie: It is an outrage for Obama to say government hiring is moving in the wrong direction and we are to blame. He is the one that put in measures and regulations. It is audacious.)) Now he takes Obama on and it is not just "a nice guy in under his head."
There will other governors that will come in and join in. Wisconsin broke the dam. One reform there was leaving it up to members concerning joining unions. The union member is now in charge and 60,000 decided they didn't want their money used for Democrat campaigns.
Union boss George Meaney didn't want government jobs unionized.
North Dakota is not the only place with a lot of oil: MT, UT, PA, and all over the northern shelf.
>>> Obama doesn't want you fracking anywhere.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#14: "Don't let a commencement address say you are not special"
Like with Scott Walker and the debacle of Liberals: what does DbM say? That Romney wants to cut government jobs. Democrats think this is a good tactic?
Liberal Democrats are so on the wrong side of the Wisconsin vote-history. There bad week is continuing and it could be a bad two weeks if they keep it up.
Caller-youth: Thanks for helping me see critical analytical skills. I'm going to Ft Sill for basic training. I was in Jr ROTC in high school.
Thank you so much, Bridgette, you are definitely 'special', no question! Wow, discussed censorship at age eight. She says it is me, but it is her parents.
>>> (Home schooled and given a great example.)

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Mean Greens"
Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, blew the lid off a huge scam that the Obama Labor Department is running: how green jobs are counted.
Under questioning, Bureau of Labor Statistics Acting Commissioner Josh Galvin admitted that antiques dealers, Salvation Army workers, bicycle shop clerks, school bus drivers, even oil lobbyists are all counted as "green jobs." So is the janitor at a solar-panel shop, like Solyndra. Before bankruptcy.
Democrats defend the scam. Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat, claimed that the number of green jobs created by the Regime is even higher than the 3 million jobs the Labor Department claimed. "Unfortunately," complained Cummings, "this committee seems more intent on challenging the methodologies used by the Bureau of Labor Statistics rather than helping put people back to work."
No, Mr. Cummings, what's unfortunate is how much money the Regime has spent crafting this lie. The "Green Jobs" initiative cost taxpayers $38.6 billion. That's $5 million per each of these "green jobs."
The day Darrell Issa exposed this scam, AP reported the most fuel-efficient car in America, the Honda Fit, gets 118 miles per gallon. But when the cost of electricity to charge it is added in, consumers end up spending about $15,000 more. It would take a driver 11 years to make up that price difference on fuel.
Here's the bottom line: the entire "green movement" is a get-rich-quick scheme, for liberals. And taxpayers are getting hosed, both ways, coming and going!

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"Obama says, 'The private sector is doing fine.' How out of touch do you have to be, when the real unemployment rate is over 11%, to say that?"
"A public employee union member gets a job, works for 23 years, retires, and gets 90% of salary as the pension and full health care until they die. And people who are out of work or don't make very much money are paying the taxes that fund all that."
"They want Barack Kardashian on Extra and Entertainment Tonight. He's celebrity of the United States. He doesn't care. He's heading for the young vote."
"Obama is blaming the weakness in our economy on budget cuts made by state and local governments."
"I don't think there's anything forward about Obama or progressive. I think Obama's locked in the thirties. I think that's his nirvana."
"How many other Democrats are realizing they would rather have somebody else as president? I don't mean just Clinton, Larry Summers, Deval Patrick, Cory Booker, and Artur Davis. There are a lot, I think, 'cause this been a horrible week for the Democrats and Obama."
"You have to admit the New York Times is consistent. They always publish national security secrets if they will hurt a Republican president, or if they will help a Democrat president."
"It's Obama who basically started ignoring the economy to get health care done. It's Obama who hasn't paid enough attention. The attention he has paid has been destructive. It's Obama who's doing damage to the US private sector."
"Anybody with money, regardless how they have it, is under assault from the Democrat Party and Obama. It's only smart to hold onto it 'til you know what's going to happen."
"Who benefits when the economy goes bad, folks? Big government types, right? They're the ones that benefit from a bad economy. Nobody else."
"'Cory Booker is dead to us,' from the Obama campaign. This might be the best thing that ever happened to Cory Booker, for his career. A, he was honest. B, he stayed in tight with the money people; he didn't throw them overboard. C, he showed a spine."
"Somebody has leaked, three times, very detailed and very damaging stuff. Do you see any sense of urgency at the White House to find out who? All we got today was Obama saying he's offended that anybody would think it's him. But how can he be offended if he doesn't know who's leaking?"
"I think to try to attach the traditional conventional ways of Washington to Obama is to misunderstand what we're dealing with here. I mean in the real world, where people care about national security, if you don't think America's exceptional, if you don't think America's a justified superpower, why would you care about national security?"
"When I read liberal journalists talk about how Obama is obviously struggling with policies to reduce America's indebtedness, I laugh. Do they think he cares? Where's the evidence that he cares about reducing the deficit, or the national debt? He doesn't care."
"Where's the evidence that shows Obama cares about fiscal responsibility? How can you say that he cares about it, given what he's done in three-and-a-half years, racking up all this spending?"
"The New York Times is all funny pages. You don't need any evidence that they're liberal other than what they print every day."
"It is totally obvious that the administration and people it controls on the outside, former administration people, are the ones feeding info to the New York Times."
"The New York Times has told us everything. The New York Times has done the job of special prosecutor. The New York Times is quoting people. There are names, dates. Obama's inner circle. The New York Times is the special prosecutor, in a sense."
