From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "More Slush!"
President Obama claimed he was "too busy" to attend the NAALCP convention in Houston last week. We've since learned that on that day, he was being interviewed by The Oprah.
This week, Obama flew to Texas for two fundraisers, targeting gay supporters and Latinos. In San Antonio, Obama said he's running for re-election to ensure that America has the best education system from kindergarten through the post-graduate level. Nobody asked why one of his first acts as President … was to strip school vouchers from poor minority children in Washington D.C. that let them attend private schools. Like the one his daughters attend.
Obama also wasn't questioned about his new election-year plan — to create a "Master Teacher Corps." Under the plan, $100 million will be spent now, a billion later … to give teachers $20,000-a-year "bonus payments." Twenty-five-hundred teachers will launch the program; in four years that number will grow to 10,000. The goal, says Obama, is to boost achievement in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Speaking of math, let me explain the formula: A) call these "the best" teachers and pay them a bonus out of the Treasury; B) grow the program until it includes hundreds of thousands of teachers; C) in return, teachers' union donations flow to the Democrat Party. A + B = C. It's just another slush fund so Democrats can launder taxpayer money. With an added political bonus: if Republicans object, accuse them of cutting "the best" teachers. Folks, it's bait. Billion-dollar Democrat Master bait.
