Segment#1: Rush attends a golf event tomorrow
RE: Batman movie and Hollywood Liberalism: I'm in the Library doing show prep as I usually do and I finally figured it out: Liberal Democrats/DbM/Hollywood plotted to link Romney to Bane and I outed them. I have shown the Light of Truth on them, and they squeal like stuck pigs.
Nobody cares about Romney/Bain.
Obama says people didn't create their own success and Elizabeth Warren and Marxists are doubling-down on it. They say Obama was taken out of context.
Now you see what I meant, "I hope he fails", and Obama is snarky.
Romney was the guy DbM/DNC wanted (to run against OWS) and now Romney leads Obama today. 43% say they would vote for Obama; 45% for Romney; then they throw in Independents to make it a 1% race. There is amazing stats in the internals, seeing a trend from April, not good for Obama. 64% of registered voters blame Obama policies.
If it were only Likely-Voters, it would be even worse. You ask, "When will these polls start matching up?" And it looks like they are coming closer together.
Remember when Bush had unemployment in the level of 5% and DbM called it the worst economy since the Great Depression? A majority think the Romney policies would make them better off than the Obama policies.
Independents favor Romney. The personal likability of Obama is 28% and what does that tell McCain-type Republicans about not criticizing? Romney is doing better than the media-darling nice-guy, 'The Maverick'.
52% of the polling was Democrat. Those numbers no longer work because Democrats are abandoning Obama. Reality will be even worse for Obama. Even with a 6% respondent advantage Obama is losing in the polls.
Hence Politico and others say all of a sudden, "Polls do not matter."
People don't care about the tax returns of Ann and Mitt Romney. "Yup, and if you win [Obama], I'm going to take more money over to the Cayman Islands, and everyone else should too" Romney tells Obama and it is working.
My Cousin Andy tweets me: "It is not a zero-sums game" and needs to be repeated. People that don't see this need to be educated. How can you have economic growth if the pie never gets bigger. There is more in a growing economy than a fixed amount of goods, services, profits, and opportunity. The job opportunities can multiply under Romney.
[Rush talks about people planning their vacations around his.]
>>> At this time, there is no vacation planned.
>>> I take Friday off for a golf-charity event.
[ED: Friday is tomorrow, right? We'll do QuickQuotes for you.]

Seg#2: Dire consequences come from Liberal-Progressive-Socialism
Is Apple targeting my iPhone? Everything works fine with dictation on iPad, etc., and I can't find anyone else having the same problem.
There is no 'out of context'! There are the words, and then there is the sneer and snarkiness of Obama. They mean to say government makes you successful.
I've spent my broadcasting life trying to figure out why Liberal/Marxist hate America. One pointed out, "they have roads and bridges in China and Russia; also in Detroit." It is more that having roads and bridges.
Intellectually, I understand they do hate America and it is a combination: they don't want to be the subjects of their ideas; they want to administer you. They have contempt for average people: they are just not capable.
Don't buy the 'out-of-context' argument, it is who these people are;
>>> this is how Liberals always will be, and there are consequences.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Trans-Study"
Nanny-State liberals are congratulating themselves. According to a study in The Annals of Internal Medicine — one of my favorite journals — New York City's trans-fats ban is a success.
The study claims that after Mayor Michael Doomberg enacted the ban, trans-fats in fast-food customers' meals decreased by 2.4 grams. Whoop-de-do. The study also supposedly shows that consumers didn't replace the banned trans-fats with other types of fat. Says the city's Director of Nutrition Strategy Programs, Christine Curtis: "We hope this makes it clear that there is an opportunity for local jurisdictions to protect the health of their consumers."
Translation: liberals everywhere should feel empowered to ban any food, substance, or idea they claim might compromise someone's health. And get this: Ms. Curtis herself co-authored the study!
I guess we're not supposed to notice she has a vested interest in the results of her study since she's linked to the agency that implemented the trans-fat ban in the first place. We're also not supposed to notice that as impressive as the study might sound to the untrained ear, some questions weren't answered.
For instance, what other incorrect food habits do people still have? What's next on the banned foods list? And if liberals are granted unlimited power to ban, is there anything they won't ban? Maybe the next "study" should investigate this question: How many freedoms are being lost in the name of "protecting" your health?

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"I hope Romney is keeping track of who on our side is caving to Obama's demands. I hope he understands it's the Tea Party sticking by him and not the establishment Republicans. I hope Romney understands that, as the Tea Party and the conservative base supports him on this tax return issue, it's the Republican establishment and their associated media allies which are trying to acquiesce to demands from the Obama campaign."
"You can't reason with liberals. They're revolutionary radicals. They don't have a moral core today. They have no belief except in their own indignant righteousness. You can't reason with 'em. The same reason you don't negotiate with Al-Qaeda."
"I think that's all Obama thinks happens in an economy: You build roads and bridges. He seems
"They're having kittens 'cause I noted the bad guy in the Batman movie is named Bane and that some Democrats are going to try to connect the evil character to Bain Capital and Mitt Romney."
"The president of the United States campaigning for reelection is running against capitalism, and you can try to mask that and deflect that all you want but the truth is the truth and it can't be denied."
"You ought to read the diversity of opinion of the Rush Babes posting their thoughts on this book at our Rush Babes Facebook page."
"We're in a political war with no rules, where truth and being reasonable and taking the high road doesn't get you anything, with the other side. Taking the high road and trying to reason with these people is not going to get their respect."
"By the way, you know this was a good speech done by Romney 'cause you haven't seen anything about it anywhere, have you? The Drive-Bys aren't covering this. It's not anywhere to be found in the State-Controlled Media."
"I was thinking of movie villains. Harry Reid as The Thing. Since everybody wants a conspiracy, how about the comic book figure The Thing named after Harry Reid? That's a perfect description of Harry Reid. He takes up space in the Senate, obstructing all the reforms the House passes. He's not an action hero. He's just an inaction hack Harry Reid: The Thing! Dingy Harry."
"You remember last week when Obama was too busy to go to the NAALCP convention? They looked at White House schedule and there was nothing on it. You know what he was doing? He was being interviewed by Oprah on the day he was supposed to be at the NAALCP."
"I sit here, I'm literally fuming. There's so many so-called smart people on our side joining that chorus and echoing these Obama campaign demands that Romney release more of his records."
"As far as the Drive-Bys are concerned, there's nothing Romney can do to fix this anyway. All they want him to do is to screw up."
"Government is a sponge with a police force. It's all these other people that are out creating jobs, creating businesses, creating products and services. They pay taxes. The government gets to collect it for doing nothing, just for existing."
"No matter what Romney says or does in a press availability, the questions are always going to be taken back and tried to be linked or tied to the Obama agenda and Obama's talking points. It's journalistic malpractice. It is blatant incompetence."
"Romney is right on the money when he says that he thinks Obama wants people to be ashamed of their success. In fact, I think we've already reached that point."
"What Obama's doing has been tried all over the world, since the beginning of time. It's never worked."
"Remember that book, He's Just Not That Into You? Obama's just not that into America. He was raised by Marxists and communists. And whoever's out there saying he was blowing weed and snorting coke, he was."
"Let me tell you, the achievers and the successful are not those who ought to be giving anything back. They already do, by virtue of their success, by virtue of their achievement. They are giving back. They share it."
"Obama is targeting people who are not wealthy. He's targeting small-business people. He's targeting families and individuals who have the temerity not to buy health care. You're going to have a penalty or a fine if you don't buy health insurance, or a tax now. He wants to raise taxes on everybody. He's just fooling the middle class and everybody else by making them think he's only targeting the rich."
"The Democrat Party, Obama, need a permanent underclass. They need a growing, permanent underclass that is in total dependence upon them. That's why they are so radically opposed to upward mobility."

The Romney campaign has released this ad commenting on President Obama's Roanoke speech this past Friday. It packs a punch. Daniel Aronstein calls it the best political ad in 30 years. After his strong speech in Pennsylvania yesterday, Mitt Romney continues to pour it on. In a little while he will speak at a town hall event in Ohio, and he isn't giving Obama any quarter. The Romney campaign senses, I think, that President Obama's arrogant dismissal of private enterprise–"You didn't build it"–was a blunder of epic proportions. In a moment of candor before a friendly audience, Obama let the mask drop, and we can see who he really is and what he really thinks. Obama's media flacks are whining that "You didn't build it" is taken out of context, and he just meant roads and »

On Twitter, a liberal named Jon Lovitz reminds us that we shouldn't overstate the case against Barack Obama. He isn't wrong all the time. To be fair, there are instances–a few, not many–when someone achieves success without working for it. Without sacrificing for it. Without taking risks, without innovating. Success that really is due to others, not himself. Mr. Lovitz offers an instance: We stand corrected. »

As I have said before, I feel sorry for the people who run Barack Obama's re-election campaign. Their assignment is to come up with an irrelevant diversion to distract attention from Obama's indefensible record, not just once or twice, but every day from now until November. Sure, their task is made easier by a compliant news media, but still: trying to draw attention to everything under the sun, except what »

The estimable John Podhoretz thinks he has found it and, as we know, so does the estimable John Hinderaker. Podhoretz writes: The president's "you didn't build that" statement has not only framed the race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney exactly as Romney needed, it has transformed Romney's campaign. He gave a very good speech last week at the NAACP convention, but even the strength of that performance was as »

The CBS/New York Times poll that came out today looks bleak for the Obama campaign, especially if we compare the results (as the Romney campaign did) with the same poll's findings in April. Here are some relevant comparisons: I haven't gone behind the numbers to check out the poll's internals. It may be that Obama's apparent slide is explained by more Republicans in the sample. But if it is true »
