Your Rush ECHO for Friday 8-3-2012

FYI: I added the following to Wikipedia:
Returned from his overseas tour that included England, Israel, and Poland, Romney plans a bus tour of Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida, with his yet to be announced running mate.
For greater press and public attention, he awaits the end of the London 2012 Olympics, 12 August, before announcing his running mate. This still allows time for campaigning and fund raising before the Republican National Convention which begins 27 August.

Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Friday, 8/3/12
Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening:   Obama is so predictable (unemployment) . . .
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#1:   What Obama policies led to this great employment?
He stands on the steps of the WH and says we are not where we want to be with employment but what he does is working — "Romney's plans won't work".  Will he tell us which of his policies led to this great 8.3% unemployment?  There are ruined lives behind these numbers and Drive-by Media just focuses on the percent.

Why can't we go back to Reagan policies?  Free Market Capitalism is the only way out—Obama digs us deeper.

Dingy Harry doubles down, triples down, on Romney's taxes.  He does for Romney what Rahm Emmanuel did for Chick-fil-A, with backfire. Harry Reid is over the top that Romney can say, "I am not responding to a lunatic."  Did somebody assign Dingy to do this or did he do this on his own.  A member of the Senate can't be sued.

Have you seen our 'Dream Team' for Olympics basketball?  Coach Krzyzewski is upset with accusations of running up the score, an 83 spread, "You have to take a shot every 24 seconds and we scored;  we didn't play LeBron James and Kobe Bryant in the second half; our guys just couldn't miss," said coach Mike Krzyzewski.
>>> In gymnastics, Gabrielle Douglas was fantastic, winning gold.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#2:  Who will tell the truth about economic principles and history?
This economy should be growing by hundreds of thousands of new jobs, every month.  500,000/month would just hold us even.  168,000 new jobs is nothing.  This isn't even a recovery as more people go on disability and welfare.
www.aei-ideas.org/author/jpethokoukis/   Rush recommends this analyst.

www.aei-ideas.org/2012/08/u-s-economy-creates-just-33000-net-new-jobs-since-january-2009/     "US economy creates just 33,000 net new jobs after 2008."

This is the United States of America and our GDP ought to be 5% growth, not 1/5%.  Not that long ago it was 10% growth in GDP.   Bush tax rates expire in January, and Obamacare will kick in.  There are fees and hidden taxes held back until after the election.

I have said all of this before.  Get rid of this Adm [Rush is animated]  He is obstinate, stubborn, and not all that smart.  [His indoctrination and education is wrong and he gets only egghead advice.]  The 'policies of the past' are exactly what needs to come in and they won't with Obama.  He smothers our American economy.
>>> Obama is a wet blanket smothering people—it isn't a game.

_____________________________________________________________
Segment#3:    Obama explains how trickle-up works
Obama's own department of labor reports there are fewer working.  150,000 dropped out making it a wash.  [Rush goes over numbers.]  "Creating jobs" is a lie.  Call it 11% unemployment since there are 2million jobs fewer to have. The number of nationwide jobs shrinks every month.

It's gotten so bad that even The NYTimes threw in cold water.  ((Clip-Obama: We are not going to get where we need be by going back to the policies that created this mess in the first place.))  You sir, created the mess.  We are beyond saying who 'made the mess', and you doubled down on it.

Ronald Reagan created 600,000 new jobs each month (our economy was recovering from Carter and growing at 6%) and when the Reagan Boom was over, he had created  20million new jobs.  It was economic growth we had not seen in a century!   Is that what Obama doesn't want to go back to?

Obama is arrogant and sounds condescending, as if he has all the answers.  Lives are being ruined, real people, and food stamps do no cut it.  They are economic bigots and their only experience is talking in colleges.

((Clip-Obama:  Patriotic Americans are not paying enough.))  He is defining, 'trickle up':  middleclass spends money and it trickles up.
 >>> We have a new definition by the Wizard of Smart.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#4:  Take the shackles off by tossing off Obama
The whole point of free markets is that people move in and out of 'categories' throughout their lives.  You do not depend on some angel like Obama coming along with a government program.

There used to be heroes and role models people wanted to emulate.  Today, they are the targets.  They are enemies to Barack Obama.   Success is being destroyed.  I want that for everybody, to live to their potential.
>>> There are too many shackles to take away what people earn.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#5:  Your incoming phone calls are coming up—be patient.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#6:  Cold as a witch's tit          No compassion for you
(Theme Music) Today, we saw Obama spinning the worst economic news with no compassion—he shows how cold-hearted he really is.  People are suffering from his policies and he is spinning the numbers to lie.

If you are struggling, you are scratching your head and asking, "Why am I being left out?"  It is not just you.  A revolutionary believes suffering is part the price that must be paid. For the first time since our founding a person comes along to equalize.  Pain and suffering is for you, not the elite leaders.

Now we have someone who understands fairness, justice, and 'freedom' in the right way.  It is how his staff and most Democrats see you.  This nation is corrupt and was founded as such.  Luck and Life's lottery favored some, not paying their fair share, but now they are going to.

All we get as Obama goes to the microphone today to spin the worst economic news ever is just cold-heartedness.  He will not even consider alternatives from his views and ruinous policies.

At my fashionable home on the Florida beach, I took offers to make my iPad and iPhone reception boosters so my ATT features for LTE would work better. One bid came in at $30,000 and I said, "What?"  Verizon will offer 'Sleek 4G' in two weeks for $150.
>> There are people who work at separating people from their money.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#7:  Obama is unknowledgeable yet destroys on purpose
Caller:  Gov't should get out of the way and let us thrive.
Look at how Barack talks:  he's going to do this, that, and he hasn't done anything of the items he claims to be expert in.  He is not the guy to hand the car keys and put in the driver's seat.  He doesn't know what he is doing.  Forget his ideology;  he doesn't know what he is talking about.  Liberals don't believe people can take care of themselves.

It is not even true that he cares, he doesn't.  Romney was right that Obama experiences do not comport with the American people.

Caller:  They criticize Coach K for running up the score while badminton
players are tossed because they didn't smash them into the ground.
> Coach Krzyzewski is profoundly offended since he pulled top players.
Nigeria has eight former NBA players on their team.

_____________________________________________________________
Segment#8:     Minnesota voters will vote on voter-ID, etc.
Last Saturday, Kathryn and I were in Indianapolis for NFL/Superbowl considerations.  I heard my name being shouted and I usually pretend I don't hear and get on the elevator.  It was Jack Butler who is being inaugurated in the NFL Hall of Fame.  It's in the Pittsburg newspaper.  Congratulations!

Caller-Mom:  MN voters will vote on voter-ID and also GAY marriage.   I said I respect your rights and viewpoints but that I have rights and viewpoints also.
You should have offered him a Chick-fil-A card.  Make up fake gift cards on your computer/printer.  He wasn't tolerant and diverse.  They are bullies.

Caller-NJ:  I run a small business and have written books.
>>> There should be more people like you.  Never lose your passion.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#9:  Most-Media thinks their audience and customers are idiots
The unemployment U-3 number is 8.3% and the U-6 number (giving up after 99 wks) is 15%.  FL has 17%, Ohio has 14%, which is the actual number of people not working, whether they are working or not.  Obama is ahead there with push-polling?  What kind of idiots do they think we are?  PA has real unemployment if 17% (three battleground states).

Caller-gal: Do you consider yourself a 'hard-working' American?
I love this;  you are setting me up here?  Can you stay on?  Can you
give us your number so we can call you back?  No, not just now!
>>> Liberals will call and you'll have to shout, "Chick-filet", at them.

_____________________________________________________________
Segment#10:  Am I a hard-working American?
Even when people see me, I make it look easy.
>>>   >>  >    I work really hard but I love it.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#11:    Thinking is hard and few people do it
(Music) Media Research Brent Bozell finds that 86% of network coverage on Romney going to England, Israel, and Poland, were on 'gaffes' when there were none!   Contrast how they covered Obama overseas.

Caller-gal-hanging-on:  Obama wants to give tax cuts to the hard-working Americans, the inference that you are not hard-working. I was insulted!
Barack Obama is a revolutionary and calls for 'pay-back'.  He believes that people are born into classes and some won life's lottery. Honest-to-God, he thinks 'the rich' stole it from everyone else.  Don't doubt me.

Economic Justice to Obama is to take back from the thieves.

Caller-still:  Has anyone asked how this will affect charities?
He doesn't care and will be happy to have gov't run charities.  He wants to be the go-to guy if you need something or anything.  He is an economic bigot who believe in 'trickle-down-government'.

No one sees the heavy lifting of my brain.  Mostly, I don't even write.  Members of my own family say, "when are you going to work and do something?"  "I'm doing it now—I'm thinking.  Or I could feed the cat and dogs."

When you look at a super-computer Cray, do you think it is working.  I wouldn't normally complain, but she asked.
>>     >>     >>        Yes, it's tough being me.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#12:  Does Obama cater to the rich and Romney to working people?
Caller:  Romney should throw it back in Obama's face:  fair share?
For 20 years we have taught that the top 10% pay 80% or whatever it is.  Whatever the Liberals ask and is given them, it is never enough.

Caller:  Why don't Hollywood types keep $2million and give the rest to Gov't?
They want the audience to not think of them as rich.  Same with rich Democrats.  They claim the rich don't pay enough and join the chorus.  They themselves never pay more.  You are being logical.

Liberal Democrats are never going to join the debate with absolute numbers.  It is all code and they only want to relate to people that are not rich.  It is a mistake to try to debate them literally.  Ted Kennedy railed on even as he was richer than anybody else.  They use class envy as though they are not rich.

Everybody believes [after being pounded by DbM] that all Rich are Republicans, and Democrats are not. The richest people in the world inoculate themselves from the hate that they gen up.  When Ted Kennedy said that Robert Bork was bigoted and hated women, he was inoculating himself from criticism.
> Liberal Democrats criticize what they themselves participate most in.
ED:   Look at actions and results — discard spin and deception.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#13:  Keywords
The Democrat Party cannot survive a united America, they need chaos and division.  The top 5% pay 44% more in taxes than the bottom 95%.  That means nothing to most voters.  It doesn't cut through the noise.  It is not winning any converts, otherwise Democrats wouldn't continue class-warfare politics.

Obama can't run on any record.  It is cold to tell those whose jobs you destroyed that "things are getting better".  You cannot engage them with facts.  Remember how Paul Ryan took Obama to task on his own Obamacare?  It was accurate and true and all it did was validate views.    Who do we persuade?  Liberals live in the world of emotions and imagination.

They can't survive in Realville.  When they see reality, they turn around and watch the rearview mirror as they sped off in the opposite direction.

((Clip-Reid:  The word is out that Romney didn't pay taxes for ten years — let him prove it if it isn't so.))  the word is not out and Reid is making a fool of himself.  He doesn't care. He is talking to the brain-dead, and drug fried.  Obama's who race history is digging up dirt and running them out.

They are dealing here with Mr Clean, and it won't work with Romney.  ((Clip-Forehead:  Romney has a long history of avoiding taxes.  What do you think, Anderson, he isn't running brothels.  He has impeccable moral character.))  Does having a Cayman account make him a tax cheat?  Cooper says Reid won't reveal his source.  Romney knows DbM would distort and has said so.

>>> This tells us everything we need to know about media bias.

Segment#14:       Check in at FreedomWorks
Snerdley, name the fasted ocean mammal. No, not the dolphin.
>>> A congenital liar Dingy Reid says Mitt Romney is a tax cheat.

From Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Alive and Kicking!"
For months, liberal pundits have been gleefully declaring the Tea Party dead. Sadly, the Republican establishment has been praying the liberal pundits were right.
But Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz upset the insiders' apple cart when he won the Texas primary, in a bid for the retiring Kay Bailey Hutchinson's Senate seat. Cruz was outspent 3-1 by his opponent, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, who had massive GOP establishment support. But that wasn't enough to overcome Tea Party energy. Now Cruz is overwhelmingly favored to win the general election, and has become, says the Washington Post, a rock star.
In Indiana, the once-unstoppable Richard Lugar lost his primary bid to Tea Party challenger Richard Mourdock. In Wisconsin, Tommy Thompson has two Tea Party challengers to contend with. In Nebraska, Deb Fischer beat the Republican establishment candidate.
So now, the left is panicked about a Tea Party "Rump" in the Senate. The New York Times worries that Tea Party victories portend a Senate shake-up. "Even if Democrats maintain control," whines the Times, "newcomers like Mr. Cruz are likely to coalesce quickly with veteran conservatives like Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina and freshmen like Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky."
Oh, no! These Tea Party Senators, like Tea Party Congressmen in the House, won't make deals with liberals. Which means liberals face either gridlock or defeat, either way, their agenda will be stalled. The Tea Party is not dead. It's alive and kicking. Kicking butt, in both parties!

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"I'm too famous to go to a Chick-fil-A, so Kathryn went in there and brought the stuff home. I posed for some pictures."
"The Regime is not happy about what happened yesterday. Can you imagine if every one of you who went to Chick-fil-A put a Romney sign in your yard, what would happen?"
"The playbook for the Obama campaign is to find out whatever dirt there is on your opponent and get it out there, have the help of the media, and have it be so embarrassing, whether it's true or not, have it be so embarrassing that it just destroys the candidacy or, in best instances, it forces the opponent to withdraw."
"What needs to happen is the focus needs to shift to Harry Reid and his questionable legal behavior here. If anybody deserves to be investigated, it is Harry Reid for what he's doing and how he's doing it."
"The media has become a bunch of hecklers. They're not journalists seeking information. They're not asking questions that are on the minds of the American people. They're seeking to trip Romney up."
"Obama is nothing. He's not even president of the United States right now. He's not even celebrity of the US. He is the fundraiser-in-chief."
"We know that every poll out there, other than Rasmussen, is oversampling Democrats. Every one of them. We know that these people on the Democrat side are lying to themselves with their polls about how well Obama is doing."
"Harry Reid is starting to sound like an angry old white man. He's sounding deranged."
"The Treasury secretary of the United States is an admitted tax cheat, and the Democrats didn't give a damn about that. Harry Reid and his fellow Democrats in the Senate voted to confirm Little Timmy Geithner, the tax cheat. Joe Biden is a plagiarist. Anybody care about that?"
"I know, folks, it gets tiresome talking about the bias of the media. But this goes beyond media bias now. We're into, I think, what is genuine media corruption now."
"In the midst of the worst economic recovery ever, how is Obama still in the game? And it's because of one of two things. Either the American people have just thrown in the towel and have accepted that this is the new norm, or else all the polling data on this is skewed. And it could be a combination of the two."
"I don't use the phone. I don't like the phone. I panic when I hear a phone ring. I either get panicked or irritated."
"I'll tell you what the Tea Party is trying to do. The Tea Party is trying to take over the Republican Party, and the Tea Party is trying to get rid of Harry Reid. The Tea Party is attempting to secure the United States Senate for conservative leadership. That's exactly what they're trying to do."
"Mass transit cannot support itself in most cities. There's no interest in it. America still has its love affair with the automobile."
"This next election's pretty crucial in terms of the kind of life you're going to have, in terms of the amount of freedom you're going to have, in terms of the opportunity to be successful, to create wealth, and to keep most of it, all of that's on the line in this election."
"What Obama and his party are attempting to accomplish here is to basically subvert the Constitution of this country. They are trying to transform this nation into something that it was never intended to be, and I look at them as having to be stopped, all within the political arena."
"One of the biggest pitfalls to conservatives of any kind, be they elected officials, media people, academics, broadcasters, doesn't matter; the biggest temptation is to want to belong in the town and be accepted by the people who run it. And to do that, you're going to have to dilute yourself. You're going to have to water yourself down and you're going to have to hide what you really believe."

Yesterday's Wall Street Journal ran a revealing story (subscription only) about the federal government's attempt to perpetuate low income housing projects in Galveston, Texas. Four years ago, Hurricane Ike destroyed 569 public-housing units. The Democratic mayor wanted to rebuild the housing as part of a "mixed-income" development. But he was defeated by a conservative businessman who promised not to rebuild the units. Instead, he proposed to issue housing vouchers to »
