Your Rush Limbaugh Echo for Today, 8/22/12
Student NOTES from Institute juniors, not 'official'
Opening:   Rush ELrusbo miraculously here.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#1:  We spend $1TRILLION more than we take in (each year)
As many of you know we have pet puppies and a crazy cat. [Rush discusses his deafness. My speech comprehension has diminished from 80% to 50% since my implant.]  It works most of the time to just say, "Thank you" assuming they are complementing me.

Punkin [cat] is 11 yrs old, requiring more attention.  After Kathryn and I were gone five days, Punkin was head-butting me all night, plus a crazy nightmare. At 4am, I opened the blinds because when you are deaf, you don't hear alarms.

National Hurricane Center (gov't run) is hopeful that the Isaac storm gets near Tampa FL, not the storm Biden.  Models move it out into the Gulf of Mexico;  will The Regime send FEMA into Tampa before it hits ?

DbM reports that Todd Akin defied me.  We'll play clips.

It is the fourth straight year of $1TRILLION+ in deficit.

There is optimism and false-optimism, since I am the mayor of Realville.  Even if Romney/Ryan are elected, the implosion will still happen.  We are on the course for USA to go bankrupt over entitlements.  How honestly do you want to treat it during the campaign?
>>> Point out Hope for America if we change, but that it will be hard.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#2:  The action movie of Dinesh D'Souza is a fantastic Oct Surprise
Republicans will have theme nights at their convention: "We Built That".  They ought to have a "War on Women" theme night.  Then have the women Clinton attacked speak — Clinton is a keynote speaker at the Democrat Convention.  Paula Jones, Jennifer Flowers, . . .  all of the women, including women involved in Dodd-waitress-Kennedy sandwiches.

Hurricane Isaac may hit Tampa during the Republican Convention, it is cat-1 skirting up the coast of Florida.  Will DbM accuse Obama of steering the hurricane to hit White Republicans.  DbM said that of Bush steering Katrina.

Dinesh D'Souza movie is going gangbusters, people sitting in the aisles.  The Hollywood Reporter is shocked and stunned.  It will have enormous impact!  It explains to people who do not follow the news who Obama really is, his ideology and dreams.
>>> I want to congratulate Dinesh D'Souza for his action movie !
ED: We are working on a synopsis-outline of his insights/ideas.
KFI ad:  Learn the shocking truth ::  www.2016themove.com
Tagline: "Love him or hate him, you don't know him" — Watch the trailer.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#3:  Michelle and Barry Obama think America is evil
My suggested theme for "War on Women" theme is more realistic.  Obama wages war on anybody that tries to build a business and produce.  It is not an exaggeration.  Make over $250,000/yr and you are a target of The Regime.

We used to try to emulate people like Steve Jobs. Now achievers are accused of stealing from the poor.  It is a point made by Dinesh D'Souza:  America is exceptionally evil, stealing from poorer nations and the poor in USA.  That is what Obama wants everyone to believe.  How does stealing from the poor make you rich?

It is upside-down.   Obama demonizes the working middleclass, including those that live in the suburbs.  They fled the inner-cities and made them poor. Obama wants to redistribute.

He wages war on anyone that wants to protect our borders;  protect our ballot boxes;  basically everybody.  Nobody will benefit from socialism except ruling elites.

Remember the woman in Detroit that thought that electing Obama would get her a new car and a new kitchen.  She actually believed that.  They get nothing!

There is a war being waged by this man, and Democrats, that defies logic.  The scary thing is that many believe him.  Republicans want the air dirty, the water poisoned, and your kids starved and sick.  Obama wants to fill the takers with false hope.  The house on the beach will be theirs, also that shiny car.  Instead, we have to discuss Abortion, with blood on the hands of the Left.

>>> Barack Hussein Obama applies his Marxist war on everybody!

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#4:  Mitt Romney will be a strong leader with his own compass
((Clip: Akins defied Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, and others.))  I didn't tell Akin to quit.  I hope he does pull out.   It is unfortunate that Akins has made himself bigger than the cause.  Big Lib, Tina Brown, owns The Daily Beast and some writer there said that Mitt Romney waited to hear from me, kid you not.  I haven't spoken to Romney in weeks.  It's a typical out-and-out lie!

And I never told Akin to go, like everybody else did.
>>> You know that I always tend against conventional 'wisdom'.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#5:  Parade up the Democrat women like Hillary and Janet Reno
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#6:  Rush explains avoiding a rhetoric trap on 'rape exception'
(Theme Music) I'm even more shocked, stunned, and amazed:  Bill Clinton will be the least-Liberal speaking at the Democrat Convention.  Clearly, he is a racist because he signed the Welfare Reform bill.  Then there are mistresses and raped women.

((Clip-Kristol: No, are you kidding?  Voters aren't idiots and know that Romney distances from Akins.  It may cost in Missouri.))

FNC Greta van Susteren talks to Sarah Palin  ((Clip: even if it is as a third-party candidate in Missouri.))  Folks, a lot of callers think Todd Akin is 'being done dirty' and want him to stay in.  McCaskill in unpopular on her own.  I know how Democrats lay 'Akin-plans' for their convention.
   1. Republican go first in convention, with no rape-exception plank;
   2.  Democrats will have a Pro-Abortion convention. It will lose big.
If they think Planned Parenthood and NARAL will win, they are delusional.

From 2008, the Democrat plank was more extreme than you would believe, with Senator Obama voting for infanticide.  If the baby is born alive, another doctor is called in to finish off the mother's intent.  ((Reading: We support Roe v Wade, and oppose any move against it.))  Extreme position?  Blood on hands?  Republicans support life — same as in 2004 and 2008.

In the copy of the 2012 Democrat plank on Abortion, it does not have a rape exception in it either.  You Republicans, don't go for their tricks.  Ask them why it is permissible for Obama to demand the Catholic Church provide instruction and abortions.

When Obama was asked, he said it was above his pay grade.
Turn the question about the 'rape-exception' around and ask,
>>> "What about Obama demanding Abortion."

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#7:  "It is never the baby's fault" — say no more !
A drive-by caller was going to say that the refusal to support Todd Akin was the "Liberal-i-cation of the Rush Limbaugh Show, EIB".  He hung up after we put him first.

Caller-Feminist:  Alan Goodmocker Institute talked about a woman being raped, and her body shutting down.  Throw it back in their Liberal face.
I used to say, "I'm pro-choice and I choose Life."  The Left demands and dictates.

Caller-still:  Tawny Brawley was having sex with boyfriends.
Congressman Akin believe the baby is innocent; to be consistent, proponents like him say there is no time to take the life of the baby.  You have to be more articulate.  He wanted to dress it up, and stepped in it.

>>> All Akin had to say was, "It is never the baby's fault" and no more.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#8:  An insightful call from a noble Black American woman
Staff will find the article from Gutmocker Institute, an arm of Planned Parenthood.

Caller-gal:  Akin was bought off by Chicago politics to not step down.
I must disagree with you.  God blesses the clueless. He's 65.

This is not about birds-and-bees;  some believe this and try to persuade.  People can be made to believe the craziest things.  Akin looks at himself as a martyr.

Caller: Read the page in Obamacare that shows $700billion taken.
Would it work for Ryan to hold up that page?  Or would they accuse
Paul Ryan of just holding up a page from his own printer?

It is very serious and we need 51 Senators to repeal Obamacare.
Caller is exactly right that we do not need one stupid senator w/Akin.
I'll call Mitt this afternoon and tell him to hold up the page.

Caller-Black-woman-accent:  Number one killer among Blacks is not young Blacks killing other young Blacks, but Abortion. WICK money comes from Abortions.  Planned Parenthood doesn't release names of rape victims.
They will do nothing to put their money at risk, even dissuading young women from going to the adoption agencies.

If you are in poverty and want to stay in poverty, vote Democrat.  If I had the answer to it, I would be doing something in addition to radio.
>>> People would be beating down my door if I could solve the vote.
Required reading via Rush's archive:  this last caller taught amazing points!

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#9:  Previously, Rush has said 'the statement' is patently false !
How about the women callers today?  They are over-the-top great!  They are fed up with male stupidity;   we need a 'war-on-women' theme at convention.  They are loaded for bear.

Caller-guy:  Akin was bought off; no one believe his rape-defense statement.  He is a congressman and has been briefed.  He knew it would throw the election.  Claire McCaskill paid $1.6million into his campaign.
Your theory is that no one can be this stupid.

I don't know that "nobody believes it."
>>> Fortunate for me, I have to take a commercial-break.
FYI:  Every ad-break includes 2016: Obama's America.  ("You don't know him")

S#10:  Reminder: Two-if-by-Tea cruise sweepstakes ends tonight.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#11: Religion  >>larger than>>  Culture  >>larger than>>  Politics
(Music) Shocked is the Hollywood Reporter with the #2 documentary of the year (already).  ((Reading: It is an anti-Obama movie.  It opened well in Liberally-minded NYC.  Gross is at $2million, just behind 'Bully'.  It is already the 12th political movie of all time.))

The Dinesh D'Souza movie will play in over 1,000 theaters this weekend.  Fascinating to watch.  They wouldn't allow it across the city limits near Stanford and Dr Sowell had to drive 30 miles to see it and sit in the aisle.  The audience was excited.  You come away realizing Obama is a 'global citizen' not a citizen of America.

It's exactly what I've told you.  Obama has a chip on his shoulder and wants to cut USA down to size.  America has taken more than its fair share.  Same within the nation, with cheating.  It's Obama's dream to even it out.  The movie is not table-pounding and preachy.

Dinesh D'Souza traveled to meet George Obama who lives on $20 a year.  George called Dinesh for $2,000 for his son in the hospital.  He didn't call his own half-brother. We should start "My Brother's Keeper Foundation".  They are ideologically/politically different.
>>> Pop culture is very influential — if it happens in a movie, it is real.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#12:  To sustain a Landslide Victory, unforced errors are not allowed
Gallup Poll has Romney at 47% and Obama at 45%.  Polling is used to shape opinion.  Trends are more important.  In swing states, Romney-Ryan are gaining ground.  Although small, it is significant. We are looking at Landslide.  The Akin-thing shows elections can be volatile.

Things happen to Democrats that help them to implode: going to page two of their playbook.  Drive-by Media propped them up, and therefore can break them anytime they want.

Caller-trucker: Radio was making me crazy.  Akin is Conservative! You had Rominey and everyone throwing him under the bus. Support him.
>>>>  Jim, it is simply this:  We have to win the Senate!
>> Akin's statement did not further that.  Unforced errors aren't allowed.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#13:  Can engineers accept the reality of emotions?
Caller-Iowa: I have a different Akin take.  I'm in sales and he is an engineer.  To him, his comment is a small detail and looks at it like an engineer.
He is also a Marine, and a politician.  He certainly understands reaching people to get their votes.  In his mind, he worked hard to get this far, "This is just one mistake" and he's a stick-on guy.  He became defiant.  I know I would.

An engineer ought to be able to calculate the harm and outlook.  It is totally about himself. That is what is irritating most people.  Your country is hanging by a thread, and Akin weakens the thread.  Look at the objective of winning.

Caller-Kathy-VA:  I didn't build my business?  Congresswoman Betsy McKensee[sp] did pull a page from Obamacare showing doctors would be paid less to yield the $720billion from Medicare.
>>>>>  Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney should do the same;
> some people will still not believe Democrats would cut Medicare.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#14:  Show the page from the bill (sooner or later in debate)
We are all focused on "Obama must go" which is bigger than Akin.

July 24th CBO sent a letter to Congress,  ((Reading if we repeal Obamacare, spending in Medicare would increase by $716billion.))  Use a visual aid.
>>> Use a visual aid as suggested.

From Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Their Fair Share!"
Five billion dollars stolen from the IRS via tax refund fraud!  Guess what, Tampa residents stole almost half a billion of it, according to the Tampa Bay Times. The cops have figured out where the big money is going.
Here's the headline: "People on public assistance commit majority of tax refund fraud." Now, this might upset liberals but Tampa police estimate that 80 to 90 percent of the tax refund fraud cases are people already on the dole.
One woman the article describes triple-dipped. She filed fake tax returns, she stole close to 700 thousand since 2009. On top of her $660-a-month housing subsidy, and her $1,300-a-month Social Security disability check. She's still living off the taxpayers in a prison cell.
A guy, 36, with a long prison history, was busted with over $30,000 in cash, and a letter inviting him to apply for food stamps. About two weeks later, busted again, with a Treasury check made out to someone else. Others have used fraudulently-obtained tax refund money to buy luxury cars. To go along with their housing subsides, utility subsides, and food stamps.
Last example: Danielle, the "exotic dancer." She got $1.6 million in tax returns; among her prized possessions: a Mercedes-Benz and a $300 thong. Not just any thong. A Gucci.
What have we learned? Simple. No matter what Obama says the rich aren't committing their fair share of tax theft!

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"I have two natural tendencies. One is to avoid the pack, to avoid the conventional wisdom. When everybody seems to be uttering, voicing, doing the same thing, that's when I put on the brakes and say, "Do I want to join this mob?" And I also have, as you well know, a tendency to want to support conservatives who come under fire. It doesn't happen enough."
"One of the reasons why the double standard exists in the way Republicans in public life or conservatives in public life are treated versus liberal Democrats, is very simple to me, too. We have made it plain that we care about truth. We have made it plain that we care about honesty. We've made it plain we care about integrity and we care about virtue."
"Now, notice, folks, what prompted Obama to hold a so-called impromptu news conference. The Akin comment. Obama hasn't talked to the press other than People magazine or George Clooney or Entertainment Tonight in two months. The Akin comment prompts Obama to go to White House pressroom for 22 minutes."
"We are not unified in our desire to rid the earth of socialists. They are unified in their desire to rid the world of us. Politically. And as such, we have no unity on our side and a different purpose altogether."
"You want to talk about stupid? How about the economic policies running this country? They are stupid! They are indefensible, and they are stupid. The economic policies led by this administration, they are indefensible and they are stupid, and they are causing real damage and real harm to real people."
"I think there are a lot of things here larger than single individuals. Saving the country, from our perspective, is at the top of that. Repealing Obamacare is at the top of that. And any distraction that makes it tougher to vote for Romney and Ryan is something that we don't need."
"Everybody who is interested in the concept, the objective of saving this country as founded, has got to put every other personal concern aside, and that needs to be number one, particularly people in politics."
"This is why Obama targets the youth. They don't know. They don't remember America. They haven't been taught America. To them, Obama and the Democrats are America. And that's why we have to save this nation for them."
"Romney is the classic illustration of a power elite that's been running this country from the days that it was founded. Romney personifies that. Romney is everything Obama dislikes about this country."
"If there is an economic rebound, and Romney is president, it's going to be because Romney gets rid of the -- dare I say it? -- chains and shackles that Obama has put on this economy."
"I'm tired of stupidity in politics. I'm tired of it! I'm tired of being smarter than the leaders in this country. I want people I can look up to, not people that embarrass me. In both parties. I'm sick and tired of being smarter than all these people."
"I've always been amused at the double standard that exists. People that actually treat women with disrespect, people that actually do sexually assault women, people that treat them with profound disrespect are somehow heralded as great on women's issues and so forth."
"The fact is, folks, that this election's bigger than any single candidate. It's bigger than any double standard. It's bigger than any debate point that one might try to make and win because this election is about saving the nation."
"How would you like to be the mayor of Detroit, Dave Bing, and you get up and the mayor of New York says, 'Hey, all you illegals, we're going to send you to Detroit. You survive seven years there, not taking any federal or state money, and you qualify for citizenship.' This guy needs to be moved into the Joe Biden Memorial Insanity Clinic. And there is going to be one of those if this keeps up.
"There isn't going to be an economic recovery if Obama wins! The only way there's going to be a recovery as if Obama loses, and Romney wipes out a bunch of economic policies that are currently in place, and if we repeal Obamacare. Otherwise there isn't going to be a recovery, as we've known them in the past. It's laughable."
"It is blatantly stupid if the president of the United States thinks that by just sitting there and doing nothing after what he's already done, there's going to be some magical economic recovery, and it's going to happen next year or the year after that."

ED:   FYI, I am the Wikipedia author of the following section:
August
50 states, the District of Columbia, two commonwealths and three territories will send 2,286 delegates to convention.
The US commonwealths attending are Puerto Rico and Northern Mariana Islands.
The US territories attending are American Samoa, Guam, and US Virgin Islands.
On August 11, 2012, Romney announced the selection of Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his vice-presidential running mate. In front of the battleship USS Wisconsin in Virginia, Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell introduced Romney to make his announcement to a cheering and supportive crowd. The announcement came two weeks before the Republican National Convention and led immediately into a bus tour to battleground states.[81][82]
Ron Paul will lead a rally in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Sunday, the day before the Republican National Convention begins. No matter the outcome of the national convention, Constitutional Conservatism will benefit the nation, a spokesperson said.[83]
Leading into the national convention, preliminary delegate counts {firm, soft} were: Romney{1,545, 1,399}; Paul{173,100}; Santorum{248,251}; Gingrich{142,143}; Others{1,30}. These totals will change as delegates change their support to Romney and Paul.[84]
Final official votes for the Republican nominees for president and vice president will take place at the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida—the four-day convention will be from Monday, August 27, to Thursday, August 30. The 2012 Democratic National Convention follows in the first week of September in Charlotte, North Carolina.
