Rush Limbaugh Substitute Echo Today, 8/15/12
Mark Belling sits in — Rush Limbaugh back Monday
Opening:   Everyone knows things are bad . . .
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#1:  Campaigning substance could not be more stark in contrast
Europe is melting down; our Economy is bad; no jobs; getting worse; and what do we get from the vice president of the United States of America?  ((Clip-Biden: They want to put y'all back in chains.))  If it were not so pathetic, it would be funny.  Barack Hussein Obama and Bite Me are making fools of themselves!

I'm from Wisconsin;  Scott Walker was elected to fix the WI economy and he did. Then he faced 18 months of union-Hell and won again.  Now we have brilliant Paul Ryan who has done a great job, and VP Biden and Obama are talking like fools and buffoons.  Mitt Romney is not a felon, tax cheat, and a murderer.  We don't want people back in chains.

We want healthcare to succeed and Romney-Ryan propose to repeal and replace.  Progressive/Liberal/Democrat/Obama Marxists have nothing to run on: no record and no positive plans.  They only have blame and spin.

The very selection of Ryan by Romney shows he is serious.  They stand up and talk on substance, treating likely voters like adults.  Risky pick?  Of course it was a risky pick because Paul Ryan has serious ideas. "I'm proud to run with Paul Ryan", proclaimed Romney.  They are talking about Medicare and the entitlement programs.

What do we get from the POTUS and VP?  What's next?  Your grandmother is now in Army boots?  It was Republican President Abraham Lincoln that took the chains off.  The Leftist Regime wouldn't be saying these things if they had a positive vision and track record to run on.

We were at a turning point in 1980 with Reagan, "He's way out there and too extreme", Democrats said.  "Scott Walker wants to destroy the middleclass" and it didn't work.  Governor Walker is more popular than he has ever been.  Romney and Ryan can stick to their guns and win.  They will earn the respect of the American people.

Our side wants our candidate to fight back [not be a 'patsy' like J.McCain].
>>> Romney/Ryan need to respond to the tactics, but not from the gutter.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#2:  Mitt Romney will be a Constitutional Conservative president
We are already in chains with The Regime:
  > 42 consecutive months of unemployment over 8%  !
     > $1.3TRILLION deficits every single year of Obama's term !
         > $5TRILLION added to the National Debt   .!.!.!.
     > Spending 40% more than we are taking in;
  > Obamacare about to kick in and kill the Economy;
     > No growth at all, the weakest 'recovery' in 70 years.
That's a Death Spiral, and people out there sense it.

The only plan of The Regime is to "raise taxes so we can shut the Deficit" and all that will do is slow the economy and pay Congress for a few days.

Caller: Ann Richards said, "Poor Joe. He just can't handle it."  What gives with Bob Beckel at FoxNews?  All he can respond is with the F-word.
       A Republican could not get away with Joe Biden rhetoric, and my point is that Biden will not either—the American people do not want this.  People think we are in a precarious situation because we are.

Raising taxes on the rich and slowing the economy will lead to more entitlement spending, and taxes will need to be raised again — that's a Death Spiral for US.

They know the Debt and what is being handed to our kids and grandkids.

Caller: I'm a TX Reagan Conservative and Ryan is a Constitutional Conservative.  I'll work more enthusiastically now for Romney-Ryan.
          I thought advisors would have Romney pick a 'safe' VP-candidate.
>>> His choice tells us what kind of president Mitt Romney will be !
NOTE: The caller coins "Constitutional Conservative" — a great term .!.
NOTE2: FNC Bob Beckel is a butt-head — I always change stations !!!
NOTE3: At least Alan Colmes was not a liar and was a good American.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"I really wish people would accept that we're going to have to beat the media. Not convince them. Not persuade them. They're no different than the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee or the Obama campaign.  They're an extension of it." [ ! ]

"Are you sick and tired yet of hearing how Paul Ryan wants to kill Medicare? You know what's going to kill Medicare is Medicare. Medicare is going to eat itself. Medicare is going to implode if something isn't done about it, unless somebody does something to save it."
"Obama is conducting a war on seniors. Medicare, if untouched, is bankrupt in 11-1/2 to 12 years, and what is Obama doing? How is Obama 'saving' it? He isn't. He's taking $711 billion out of Medicare. When all is said and done, it'll lose close to a trillion dollars."
"Obama admitted to our old buddy Jacob Tapper at ABC News that he was cutting $700 billion out of Medicare, and he swore to keep it in there. By the way, do you notice that Obamacare is no longer 'deficit neutral'? It's going to blow a trillion dollar hole in the budget next year."
"By the time it's all said and done, when you factor interest over a number of years, you could accurately say that Obama is taking a trillion dollars out of Medicare and putting it elsewhere in Obamacare. It's not just an accounting move. It's a real transfer of money, in order to keep the overall reported cost down."
"The Democrats, you see, folks, are stuck in this play. They never have to defend their ideology. They never have to discuss their ideology! They always hide it. They camouflage it. That's why they say things that are distractions. That's why they lie about who they are and what they believe."
"I really wish people would accept that we're going to have to beat the media. Not convince them. Not persuade them. They're no different than the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee. They're no different than the Obama campaign. They're an extension of it."
"I think one of the greatest things that's happening here, one of the most positive effects of the selection of Paul Ryan in this campaign, we are already talking more about the issues, and we are double down serious, double down truthful on Medicare, the economy."
"Here is the leader of the free world: 'Michelle won't let me eat fried Twinkies.'"
"Now, I also have to admit, folks, if you would have told me 20 years ago that in my 25th year on this program Medicare would be one of the prime topics, I would have told you, 'Well, then I won't have anybody listening to my show if that's what I'm talking about.' Because if I'm talking about Medicare, Social Security, you know what that means? That means I'm finished. Now look what's happened. It has effervesced."
"I want to apologize for being so frustrated with Mr. Snerdley, but he was really stupid yesterday."
"If you are on Medicare or if you soon will be on Medicare, you have a lot to fear. You need to be very, very afraid of Obama. Obama and Obamacare are actually hastening the end of Medicare."
"You can't convince people that a Democrat is going to cut Medicare. They don't believe that."
"Joe Bite Me, the vice president of the United States is in Danville, Virginia, got an audience, it says here, a clear population of minorities. For those in Rio Linda, that means there's some black people in the crowd."
"How do you fight propaganda? You gotta turn into a propagandist yourself and you've got to abandon the truth. Some of us don't know how to do that. Not believably. Not consistently."
"By the way, do you notice that Obamacare is no longer 'deficit neutral'? It's going to blow a trillion dollar hole in the budget next year. (long sigh) I wonder if Debbie 'Blabbermouth' Schultz likes her health care plan, because it's Paul Ryan's plan. We have since learned that the option you get if you opt out of Medicare under Ryan's plan is the same plan that Debbie 'Blabbermouth' Schultz has."
"CNN, if you want to know why nobody's watching, here it is. You want the names? Candy Crowley. Soledad O'Brien. What makes you think that people want to watch them? You want to make the claim that you guys are objectively in the middle? Soledad O'Brien's doing McCarthyism, Charlie McCarthyism. She is a puppet. She's mouthing for somebody."
"Obama cut $741 billion out of Medicare, and there are people who will not believe it simply because Democrats don't cut. Democrats care about people. Republicans don't. That is etched in the American fabric for so many years now."

Hero guard shot thwarting attack at Family Research Council HQ
 ~~~  The Family Research Council is a conservative nonprofit that seeks to advance "faith, family and freedom in public policy and public opinion," according to its website. The group weighs in on policy, and has often sent representatives to Congress to weigh in on the social effects of policy matters.
"The police are investigating this incident," Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said. "Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today.  Our concern is for him and his family."   ~~~
  Many of our readers are familiar with Jay Cost based on his work at Real Clear Politics and then at the Weekly Standard. As good as that work is, I had no idea that Cost had a book in him like Spoiled Rotten: How the Politics of Patronage Corrupted the Once Noble Democratic Party and Now Threatens the American Republic. This book, in part, is an excellent survey of the »
  Mitt Romney has opened up a huge lead over Barack Obama among white voters. So far, that hasn't happened with Hispanic voters, but it should. Like African-Americans, they have borne the brunt of the disastrous Obama economy. (There are very few Hispanic lobbyists, "green energy" moguls, etc.) Unlike African-Americans, they have no particular reason to be loyal to Barack Obama. Romney's appeal is simple: President Obama has been a failure. »
  We posted reader Regan D.'s photos of Paul Ryan's appearance at Lakewood High School in the Denver area yesterday in "Paul Ryan, live in Denver." Mark Hemingway reports on Ryan's speech at the Lakewood event in "The natural." Hemingway observes that, "[h]aving won over the crowd with pleasantries, Ryan imperceptibly worked his speech to a crescendo. The famous wonk wisely didn't stump on intricacies of, say, the Wyden-Ryan Medicare reform »
  Today in Chillicothe, Ohio, Mitt Romney delivered a speech that was admirable in several respects. But what I most appreciated was that Romney confronted head-on the despicable campaign that Barack Obama is waging: [Y]ou don't hear any answers coming from President Obama's re-election campaign. That's because he's intellectually exhausted, out of ideas, and out of energy. And so his campaign has resorted to diversions and distractions, to demagoguing and defaming »
  Lots of stiff competition for the Green Weenie Award this week, which we gave yesterday to Jerry Brown.  But some of the also-rans are worthy of honorable mention, starting with the letter to the editor of The Star newspaper in Toronto from Barbara Falby that blamed the Colorado theater shooting on climate change and cuts to climate research by the Canadian government.  No, seriously: Many opinions have been expressed about »
Is there anything more ridiculous than white Democrats talking down and talking black to voters — while whitewashing the devastating effects of their economic policies on those voters? Is there anything more poisonous than stoking racial grievances by shamelessly likening your political opponents to slavemasters — while presiding over a culture of dependency than chains future generations to massive debt?   ~~~
Hundreds of Millions in Taxpayer Losses Are Just 'Minor Blips'
   President Obama's disgracefully corrupt policies on green energy alone should be enough to ensure his defeat in November -- even apart from his war on reliable energy sources, which is unspeakably outrageous.
   Recently revealed emails show the extent of the abject corruption and reckless waste surrounding Obama's Solyndra project. The Heritage Foundation has compiled a list of the 10 most revealing emails referred to in the House Energy and Commerce Committee's investigative report, many of which I wrote about in my book "The Great Destroyer." A number of these will make your blood boil.
   We know that taxpayers lost more than $600 million in the debacle, but how many knew that the administration never even intended the business to be wholly self-supporting? Obama's "you didn't build that" slander could certainly be applied to this government-created and -dependent monstrosity.
   Indeed, Mitt Romney should grill Obama on these emails and his energy policies in the presidential debates. Maybe he should start with Obama's protest that his "you didn't build that" statement was taken out of context. Who needs to quibble over context when Obama has made so many other similar statements and when his administration has lived that philosophy?
   A statement in one of the released emails -- from Aditya Kumar, a senior adviser to the vice president, to White House communications staffer Dan Pfeiffer -- underscored the point: "When government plays a part, it can bring the private sector along."       ~~~
