Segment#1:    Discord in the White House and Oval Office
I'll put it all in perspective.  Romney brought the attacks upon himself, and capitalism is under attack.  Romney super-PAC stuff started back in 2008.  It is not all over.  Let's keep perspective.  There is enough hypocrisy to go all around.

Before we get started in all of this, I want to add to something I said yesterday.  There is a USA Today poll out that Americans fear Obama's reelection the most by a ratio of 2 to 1.   DbM gets into every aspect of Republican hopefuls but give a pass to Obama.  Read further in the Gallup survey to find the 40% saying they are Independents lean Republican.

Today Gallup also says Republican voters are now ready to accept Romney.  That is very convenient on the day of New Hampshire voting, no photo-ID required.

Remember how HRClinton cried on voting day in 2008; Obama busing people in?  Hillary won.  Many voters are not forgetting what they do not like about Obama.  31% of Americans say they fear most higher taxes, which does not bode well for Obama.  Put those numbers together and many are fearing Barack [Hussein] Obama.

Politico is in the tank for Obama.  "Why Obama Chief of Staff Had To Go."  It is the fourth chief of staff to quit.  Why is Obama and the First Lady so hard to work with?  Obama didn't want him to go, and the Politico puts their slant on it.

Chief of staff Bill Daley was brought in from Wall Street.  Michelle and Valery Jared didn't want Obama to move to the center, so Bill Daley is out of there.
>>> There is not happiness and cooperation in the White House.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#2:  "Not Romney" Republican hopefuls attack Conservatism
Obama can't hang on to his Economic Team.  If this were a Republican president, the headline would be "Whitehouse in disarray", but instead we have Politico.

Did you know that Bain Capital has contributed more to Obama campaign than they have to Mitt Romney campaign?  $34,000 from 18 employees last fall.

>>> What is going on?  Republican candidates attacking Capitalism!

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#3:  Independents and Undecided Republicans will join Mitt, if he
can explain himself and teach about Capitalism .!.
Republican candidates attack Capitalism and use language of the Left.  Our side should take the occasion to educate voters.  Phil Graham was an economist by profession and said to Wm F. Buckley, "Free trade benefits everyone and they don't know who they;  Free trade hurts a few and they all know who they are."

In any economy, you will have people benefiting and people getting hurt.  So Republican Phil Graham didn't talk about it out on the stump.  He was saying it was not easy to explain. He voted correctly in Congress.

It will be very eye-opening to see if Romney can defend himself.  He needs to explain Capitalism.  He can take the occasion to make Capitalism sound good.   Snerdley, I can't say, "Look, you hopefuls, don't shoot at each other, be adults."

Look at it from Newt's point of view:  three weeks before Hawkeye Cauci and Newt is surging at first place, "I'm the Nominee", says Newt.  Then Romney's ads took Gingrich out of the Iowa equation.  "How about a taste of your own medicine, pal."

Hello! It's politics.  In the process, we have Conservatives, "so-called", ripping Capitalism.  What is going on here?  We see a circular firing squad.  We have a Marxist in the White House, and our hopefuls won't call it.  By extension they are saying we would rather have a Marxist than an evil-rotten Capitalist.

Mitt Romney had to call a press conference to explain this.

"Firing people" [and insurance companies] that are not doing the right job for you is part of capitalism.  Why does this statement have to be defended?
>>> We'll explain further when we come back.
ED:  A lot to discuss and explain today, about Capitalism & hopefuls.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#4:  Obama's Marxist policy caused Collapse, not Capitalism
Don't we want someone in the WH that will fire people?  Instead, our hopefuls jump on profits and firing people ?   This is what is coming from Obama.  Romney should explain it now.  You know I am right.

What was TARP?  There was not one thing capitalistic about TARP, using tax payer money to bail out failed businesses.  Bush and Romney supported TARP and Santorum didn't.  Be real careful how you define Capitalism and who supports it.
> Capitalism was not practiced and did not cause economic collapse!

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#5:  We were lied to big time about TARP.  There was no crisis.
Now we know that TARP was a slush fund to elect Democrats and support unions.
>>> Massive TARP money went unspent. Where was the crisis?
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#6:  Mitt Romney had better explain Capitalism vs Obama Marxism
(Theme Music) So we are now in a debate as to who is, and who isn't, a real Capitalist.  In Romney's own book he says TARP was needed;  then he criticizes little Tim Geithner. You can't have it both ways.  If TARP worked, then why is there economic collapse in Europe?  We gave $1TRILLION to them, and it was a secret at the time.

John McCain suspended his campaign to go to Washington to help TARP;  Obama also went to the meeting Bush called, and took over the meeting.  We got shellacked.  Then they put bank presidents in a room and Paulson make them all take loans, even though some refused.  They went in at 3pm and he didn't let them out until 6pm.

Just to remind you, they said it had to be done within 72 hours or we were cooked, and we said, "What's the hurry" and delayed them for six weeks.  McCain was ahead in the polls by 7% just before this.  Those who wanted to burn Romney at the stake were also for TARP — it was hard to find anybody that wasn't.

I was at an invited dinner and "the future of the world is at stake, really bad", one Senator told me.  The subprime mortgage crisis would not be allowed by Capitalism.  TARP ended up being nothing more than a big slush fund, not spent.

What is a 'bailout'?  It is nothing more than 'wealth distribution'.  We bailed out big banks and foreign countries:  "No time to think about moral principles;  a crisis that requires action today."  Don't think for a minute that Solyndra didn't get TARP money so Obama buddies could keep their mansions.  The world economy is still on the cliff and verge of collapse.   If Greece is not bailed out and Europe starts going down, will Obama want TARP II ?  I bet we do.

It is the same technique they use to push up the Debt Limit, "We have no time."  I'm telling you, there are some that get into politics solely to have access to your tax money without having to have to work.

Sept 25, Gingrich said TARP was a slush fund,  then he voted for it. My point is that the debate about who is the Capitalist and who is not, hopefuls run around and use the language of the Left.  Somebody has to defend Capitalism now, since you can quadruple the Obama attacks later.

>>> Meanwhile in the Oval Office we have a Marxist, anti-Capitalist,
>>>>>>>   and our candidates are not explaining it that way.

_____________________________________________________________
Segment#7:    Regardless of 'why',  you have 'reality as it is'.
I do not want to be misunderstood here:  I am defending Capitalism and Conservatism, not Newt, Santorum, Bain, nor Romney.  This is a good proving ground and a good time to explain free markets.  Liberals put in controls and obstacles.

The people in Washington are going to bail out their friends, and that is not you and me.  Just let free markets take their course.  If they fail, the business was poorly run or the people didn't want the service or product.  They are just not as good as competition.  So we end up propping up mediocrity.  But it is not Capitalism.

Romney hopes to win by attacking the records of people more conservative than him, saying they are not Conservative.  Now he positions himself as a Conservative.  I guarantee you Newt thinks he is twice as conservative as Romney. Newt retaliates.
>>>>    It has to be dealt with "as is" — "it is what it is."

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#8:  Ads attacking Mitt Romney have Rush Limbaugh laughing
In 2008, Newt wrote about the terrible TARP concept leading to crony capitalism.  So now, Newt and Santorum are attacking Romney from the Left.  The GOP establishment care more about being charge of the money themselves and think Obama can't be beat, so they give up to support Senate and House races.

((Clip-Gingrich:  I am not using the language of the Left, but language of populism.  There is a big difference if the leaders are working like the employees.))  That's not what happens, that is not the model.  Newt is talking like the people that attack Capitalism.

((Clip-Gingrich:  [Trying to explain Bain leadership decisions.] ))  How do you translate that?  ((Clip-Obama:  At some point you have made enough.  [We'll decide.]))  Newt sounds like Left social modeling.

Bain Capital and others bought out Clear Channel, so is my parent now.  Romney has nothing to do with Bain now, don't misunderstand my 'disclosure'.

This stuff in none of the government's business.  You could have read this on an Occupy Wall Street flyer or sign.  Where does the rhetoric stop when you start down the slippery slope.

"Winning Our Future" is a minute ad running on YouTube.  ((Clip:  The suffering began when Mitt Romney came to town.))   [Rush is laughing.]  The music stops for the punch line.  They need to add, "And I love firing people".

A Gingrich ad brings forth a parade of victims.   ((Clip:  That felt so bad to leave my home, because of one man that has 15 homes.))  Axelrod and Obama Team must be saying, "These Republican hopefuls are good;  we can use some of it."
>>> At least Romney knows how many homes he has, McCain didn't.

_____________________________________________________________
S#9:  Can Rush Limbaugh issue a COMMANDMENT about no bickering?
It is not unprecedented:  Bush Sr called Reagan's policies, "Voodoo Economics."  DNC chair Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz can't wait to collect these anti-Romney ads.

Caller: I want to hear people built up — you are confusing me.
I'm not, they are.  I'm explaining their comments — I'm critical of it myself.  We all want Obama out.  Here, we discuss the news.  We have praised our candidates for going after Obama in the debates, "Obama must be defeated."

[Caller says she is a Mormon but is talking crazy — She has no concern about who gets the Nomination.]  There is nothing I can do to stop bickering;  I could issue a commandment to Newt and Romney, but would they listen?  No.
>     >     >         Besides, it's too much fun.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#10:  The Newt PAC could recut their ads on Romney to add,
>>  >>  >>         "I am Obama, and I approve of these ads."
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#11: Rush Limbaugh explains the Ross Perot vindictiveness
(Music) Greetings to you, music lovers, conversationalists.  We've only had time for one phone call, upset with me for being too negative.   I'm not negative.  At sometime I may have to issue a Fatwa, "Cut this out!"  You don't know what is being surrounded by Negativism is.  I can't tell you the amount of pessimism out there.

I just want to tell you that you are not alone.  Obama is defeatable.

Megan Kelly was interviewing Newt and says "Isn't our free enterprise system set up towards profits?"  ((Clip-Newt: There has to be some sense that we are all in the same boat.  A lot of people made that $180million, but execs walked out.  Where is responsibility?))  Whether he intends it or not, we are finding out that Newt sounds like Elizabeth Warren.

You never heard this from Newt during the 1980s "Contract w/America".  ((Clip-on-Newt:  I am totally committed to Capitalism, but I am committed to being fair.))  It works both ways when Fannie/Freddie pays someone a million dollars who can't afford a home. Occupy Wall Street protestors should stand with Newt.

This is payback time for Newt.  Romney-PAC ads drove Gingrich nuts.  This is not the action you want to see in a Primary.  ((Clip-Newt: My real goal was to deny Romney a big win here.))

You could say Newt has 'gone Perot' when Ross Perot wanted to get Bush Sr.  Ross Perot was a huge supporter of the military, 1992.   Long after the war in Vietnam (as I am told) the Adm asked Perot to fund the potential rescue mission in N.Vietnam, but he wanted to go and be on the front lines.  He was told no and felt slighted.  After the Bush Sr Adm had obtained the Perot money, they told him he couldn't go.
>>> Later, he just wanted to deny Bush Sr reelection, giving us Clinton.
Someone in the Bush Sr Administration explained this to Rush.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#12:  We'll find out the New Hampshire election results, tonight
Where you start your small business is important, from where you hire and fire.  ((Reading: He would move his office to be by the major client.))  Go to REGUS.com and mention my name.  [Did I just type in an ad?  Remembering Daddy Warbucks.]

Caller:  Rick Perry is the only 'alpha-male' in the race.  He is a pilot, patriot, and leader of the 13th largest economy in the world.
Perry is like Gingrich, calling Bain "vultures" against Romney.
Caller: The movie "Wall Street" influenced people, making millions by lying.
What is the reason they are bought out?  Going down, saved!  The movie was made by big Leftist Oliver Stone.

We'll find out tonight and in SC if Newt's ploy helps Newt or Romney.  Negative ads do work, and Newt moved from 1st to 5th place in Iowa.  He thought it was all lies and he now reacts.

Caller:  You are wrong to criticize Newt. He has positive ideas. Etc, etc, etc.
>>> I've said all of this for days.  Hang on over the break.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#13:  ED: [Newt campaign] calls in to say attacking Mitt is fair
I have said everything you said and pointed out the reasons, "What would you do, when facing millions of dollars in attack ads?"  I do what I can to keep it focused on ideas.  Newt is not sounding like a Conservative when he attacks, and it is him, not me.

More than anything here, I am defending Conservatism and Capitalism.   Michael Moore attacks Capitalism, not us.  Who is to say what is fair at Bain Capital?  There is no 'enforcement' mechanism for 'fair'.

[Rush is keeping him on because he is a good seminar caller for Gingrich.]  It is not my job to take out Romney, some saying he is a Ken-doll, looking too good.
> > >   [ED: Newt staff just wanted some air time today for NH votes.]

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#14:  What will Mitt Romney do to fend off attacks?  Move Left or Right?
Let me try another explanation.  WSJ Daniel Henninger and others mention the Republican Establishment wants Romney, and needs to be pushed to the right.  His natural inclination and core is not Conservatism.  I don't mind Gingrich attacking and pushing Romney to the right.  The Elites do not him to move Right.

Newt is not pushing Romney to the Right  — Newt attacks from the Left.

Since when do Republicans hate Capitalism?  When did that start?  I don't hate Capitalism.  I know we have squishy Republicans that can't defend 'profits'.  We certainly don't push Romney to the Right, by attacking from the Left.  Who among them has conservative core beliefs?  The full-fledged Conservative isn't there.

They all think that using government is a good thing.  You deal with what you have.  "You go to war with the army that you have", said Rummy Rumsfeld.  I wouldn't have voted for TARP;  but I would not have attacked him over Bain Capital.

Whomever wins the Nomination will be pushed to the Right to win;   and that is not happening.
>>> Will Romney defend himself from Gingrich attacks by moving Left?
www.BainCapital.com . . . shows a great view of Boston across the Charles River.

_____________________________________________________________
Seg#15:  We are not going to win without being conservative.
You know it, and I know it — The Republican Establishment does not know it.
>>> Since when do Conservatives hate Capitalism?  We don't .!.
Closing:   And we Conservatives are not going to, not on my watch!

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Get It?"
State Senator Gary Lambert, described as a "New Hampshire surrogate for Mitt Romney," is frustrated with the primary process. He's mad that Romney isn't getting enough love from the GOP base.
"I don't get it," Mr. Lambert at a recent event. "This is not about picking a favorite; it's not about picking someone you like. It's not even about picking someone with your own beliefs and principles. This is about picking somebody who can beat Barack Obama, period."
Lambert's lecture wasn't over. "I'd like to get right to the point," he continued. "Look, we know how this movie is going to end. Mitt Romney's gonna be the nominee. Forgive me, and with all due respect to all my friends out there the way I look at it, the sooner we get it over, the better. We can save the money because in the end, guess who we're after? We're after Barack Obama."
With all due respect, Mr. Lambert, we don't know how this movie is going end. Otherwise we could just skip the primaries and coronate the nominee. And believe it or not, Mr. Lambert  most Republicans don't need you to explain that we want Obama out.
More important, it IS about picking someone with conservative beliefs and principles and the fortitude needed to turn this country around. Which means we don't want a "squish"  a moderate/liberal Republican.
So you're right about one thing: you don't get it. And, sadly – among the Republican establishment, you're not alone. Sadly.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"Here we have the country economically in great peril, and the subject matter of the debate on Saturday night largely was the social issues. That's the Democrats and the media trying to portray all of these Republicans as wacko extremists who want to be in your bedroom."
"There's nothing polarizing about Tebow. What is "polarizing," if anything, is the reporting on Tebow."  [ED: Yes, I left a word out yesterday.]
"I believe that in addition to whatever drives Barack Obama and his party ideologically, also near the top of the list is the pursuit of money without having to work for it; being able to pass it out to their friends and set their friends up to be wealthy for the rest of their lives."
"The Democrats know that our experts are stupid enough to believe that the Democrats will be honest and tell us who they really don't want to face."
"The Democrats are afraid of any candidate they have sought to destroy. You can start with Sarah Palin, you can move on to Santorum. Any conservative who showed any interest -- the Democrats set out to destroy. That's who they're genuinely afraid of."
"Where has it been established that Republican voters seek a nominee who can work with the other side? This is what leads the Republican Party to continue to nominate people that lose. This is not what the people of this country want."
"The news today is all agenda oriented. It's all propaganda, oriented toward reelecting Obama, pure and simple."
"I didn't know that God was gonna watch the Steelers-Broncos. I said if God decides to watch, who do you think he's going to choose? Who do you think he's gonna want to win, Tebow or Roethlisberger?"
"Republican elite, establishment, whatever you want to call 'em, are obsessed with favorable coverage from the media. They are obsessed with, at the end of this debate, having the media praise them."
"I am largely responsible for the fact the media monopoly no longer exists. And since their monopoly no longer exists, their ability to have this pretense that they're objective is long gone."
"I haven't changed. I'm still who I am, my ideas, I'm consistent. I don't change."
"Independents, moderates, I have long suspected that they're just liberals who don't want to say that they're liberals. And I'm also convinced a lot of people say that they're independents because they're sophisticated enough to know that the media thinks they're God, that they're the ones who elect people."
"The Republican elite live among people who love Obama. Media and Democrats. They have an entirely distorted view of life outside the eastern seaboard."
"Folks, it is safe to say that domestically in this country conservative Republicans are the biggest enemy the Democrats have, bigger than al-Qaeda, bigger than the Taliban, bigger than Iran, bigger than any foreign enemy."
"If Obamacare is so wonderful, if it's so great, why aren't the unions dying to jump on the bandwagon? Why do they have to get waivers?"
"We have been nailing it here for the last three months, day in and day out, sometimes multiple intensity nails per day."

Well, I've just finished scouring the White House visitor logs.
Regular readers know I seem to be one of the few in the media who actually does such a thing.
Regular readers also know that I've pointed out time and again that the logs are incomplete, misleading, obtuse, and designed to make it as difficult as possible to figure out who has visited and when.
So, it is no surprise that neither director Tim Burton nor actor Johnny Depp — hosts of the big 2009 Hollywood Halloween bash at the White House — show up in the visitor logs.
At least as far as I can tell.
