Seg#1:  Did you know that unemployment numbers are just a guess?
"We couldn't fit 61 candles on [the "White Trash Cake"], says Snerdley.
Thanks for the eMail 'best wishes' greetings.

I didn't know John "Breck Girl" Edwards was protesting at Zaccotti Park where there is an abandoned baby, left alone for half an our.

The number of jobless claims jumped to 399,000 up from 375,000 the prior week.  It was seasonal hiring that resulted in the bump.  The media never bothered to tell us the reason.  So Obama "won the future" for about a month.  People fear the Obama reelection by a ratio of two to one.  We have to get that word to Republican elites.  Some of them don't believe what is right before our eyes.

Notice how the reported jobless number is just under the dreaded 400,000 and will not be reported when it is adjusted up.  Jobs available will be reported to have shrunk.  So the % could go down for unemployment.

If Obama can make a recess appointment when Senate is not in recess, what is giggling a few numbers?

We would be down 0.2% in retail sales if it were not for Christmas sales.  During the month of December we were told the exact opposite, "record-breaking retail sales."  Comparing to 2010 is nothing to celebrate.

The real number of unemployment (without seasonal adjustment) is [     ]
The seasonal number is just a wild guess.

1,144 are the number of delegates that need to vote for our nominee at the nominating convention.  Romney has 12 and Ron Paul has 10.  Perry is only 10 behind Romney with 2.

I love busting myths, especially medical myths.  Things are made up.  This next one will hit you hard.  How many of you have believed that red wine prevents heart attacks.  French don't die of heart attacks.  You heard this, right?  University of Connecticut falsified his data in 100 studies.  Dr Depack Does is unraveled by the NYC Albert Einstein College.  He literally just made it up.  The Office of Research Integrity is on the case.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Relief?"
A government report issued by the Health and Human Services Department claims that increases in healthcare costs from 2009 to 2010 were the lowest in 51 years. That means, supposedly, that healthcare costs as a share of the overall economy are finally leveling out. Relief! Praise be, Obama the Most Merciful and Obamacare.
Except the details don't quite line up that way. The reason healthcare costs rose a mere 4 percent,  is because the economy is in horrible shape. Americans don't have as much money to spend, so they're shopping wisely with their healthcare dollars. Elective surgeries are being put off; more people are using generic drugs; and some consumers are even thinking twice about showing up at the emergency room. They're staying sick!
Even with that, the average American is still spending over $8,000 a year in healthcare costs,  far exceeding spending in other countries. More disturbing, the government share of healthcare spending rose from 23 percent in 2007 to almost 30 percent in 2010. And that's before a lot of the Obamacare provisions kick in.
Democrats are going to try to spin this report with the headline: "healthcare costs level out." But the truth is, costs are up, in spite of the misery we're enduring under Obama's economic depression. And they're going to skyrocket further under Obamacare, as the government continues gobbling up more and more of the healthcare sector.
No, it's not relief! It's a recipe for disaster. You're only hope is to stay sick.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"The very people who have been hawking Romney and singing his praises are now going to discuss his shortcomings in terms of their fears. They haven't looked at that before because that hasn't been the objective. The objective has been to see to it that a conservative doesn't get the nomination."
"Every day in politics is a teachable moment when you've got liberals as your opponents."
"Reagan defended conservatism. This is the thing that people forget. Reagan taught conservatism. When he talked about cutting taxes, he explained how it benefited the middle class, how it benefited everybody. And everything Reagan taught was oriented around reducing the size and role of government in people's lives, which equals more and more freedom."
"Obama is not in over his head. It's where his head is that's the problem. He's breaking the law right in front of our faces and we don't have the guts to call him on it."
"Why in the world would anybody seeking the Republican presidential nomination try to shield themselves from criticism by hiding behind Obama?"
"Barack Obama believes that the Founders and the white majority of this country, since its founding, have been inherently unfair, have screwed everybody else, have taken everything for themselves -- and then sent our own sons and daughters around the world to war to protect their own personal spoils."
"My desires and my motivations are pure, and that is the triumph of this country -- return to greatness, at least the return to the path."
"When you go out and equate your own actions in the private sector with what Obama did at General Motors, you are defending Obama!"
"Barack Obama and Romney did not do what they did for the same reasons -- for the same objective, same things -- and I just think if you're going to wade into this pool of defending the way you save a business, you're not government. I don't know. I just think there's a better way of doing this educationally, informatively than tying yourself to Obama."
"Reagan was so good that he was able to go over all those heads and establish a bond of likability and trust with the American people despite what was being said about him. Very few people have that ability."
"The Government does not have to make a profit running anything. I give you the Volt. They don't care! The Volt ends up costing $250,000 per car when you account for all the subsidies and everything else."
"There's nothing -- there's not a single thing -- that is common between we as conservatives and Barack Obama."
"Ron Paul is a conservative killer. Ron Paul kills the conservative vote, and the Romney camp wants him in there, encouraging him to stay in there."
"Obama's not just a nice guy who's in over his head. Obama has a plan. Obama's plan is based on his inherent belief that this country was immorally and illegitimately founded by a very small minority of white Europeans who screwed everybody else since the founding to get all the money and all the goodies, and it's about time that the scales were made even."
"Everything to practically everyone who works in Washington, the Gospel of Wealth is why they are there. The Gospel of Wealth is why they want to get the Senate and the committee chairmanships! They want to be in charge of the money."
"All capitalism is, is the American dream, for crying out loud! Without capitalism, there is no American dream. Sorry. There cannot be an American dream to pursue without capitalism."
"I think this newfound concern for Romney is rooted in the ultimate dissatisfaction they are feeling at having vanquished a conservative alternative. That's what has motivated the establishment for all these months."
"Two things that make the world go 'round: money and lust. The thing you feel when you think you're in love at first, those two things -- there maybe others but those two things -- have the power to make you behave in ways you otherwise wouldn't, and both of those things are inexorably tied together in Washington -- and somewhere in that mix is ideas, but it's not as high atop the list as you and I would hope."
"It's abundantly clear that Obama intends to run for reelection by running against capitalism."
"The Democrat Party has made a lifetime career out of bashing every successful corporate entity in this country. Big Oil, Big Drug, Big Pharmaceutical, Big Walmart, Big Retail, 'Big' whatever. Look at their enemies list -- and we join them?"
"I'm all for vetting candidates -- I'm all for finding out just exactly who they are and I'm all for finding out if they can defend themselves -- but I don't think you tear down the engine of freedom or any other conservative principle in the process of doing all this."

Was Haley Barbour thinking? I guess he really wants to take no chances that he'd end up as Mitt Romney's running mate.  More seriously, the mainstream media has gone off on this story big time, and I hope Barbour can give a defense of his pardons. »

This Week's MSM Bias Award Goes to George Stephanopoulos
We've been dealing with liberal media bias for years, but George Stephanopoulos' performance in the Republican presidential debate Saturday night in New Hampshire was particularly egregious.

In many of these MSM-moderated debates, liberal moderators have tried to stir up personal fights between candidates, which diverts our focus from more important issues and, before national television audiences, shifts attention far away from Barack Obama and his disastrous agenda.

Yes, these are debates among Republicans and designed to bring out distinctions among the candidates, but it should be up to the candidates to initiate and define those distinctions, and it is improper for the moderators to continually steer the debate away from substance and into the personal. With the moderators constantly stirring up catfights, liberal ends are served, both in placing Republican candidates in the worst light and in creating the illusion that their primary differences are with one another rather than Obama.

If you doubt this, then ask yourself how often in Saturday night's debate the candidates were given an opportunity -- instead of showing how corrupt, immoral or inexperienced their GOP rivals are -- to distinguish their policy proposals from the others in the context of the Obama record. The narrative in these debates ought to be how each of the candidates is better-equipped than the others to reverse Obama's agenda.

In addition to misdirecting the debates substantively, the liberal moderators have also, too often, injected themselves into the debates as if they were either driven by their irrepressible egos to make themselves players rather than facilitators or so ideologically revolted by the GOP's policies that they were compelled to argue Obama's side in his absence. The moderators shouldn't be allowed to have it both ways. If they are going to direct the debate solely toward differences among the GOP candidates, they shouldn't present Obama's side for him, giving him and the liberal position a free ride.

Here's a reader comment from The Blaze, by ROMNEY-RUBIO 2012
Posted on January 12, 2012 at 2:15am
Take just one company, Staples. It has 90,000 employees in the United States. Romney with Bain created this company and the idea for this company from scratch. If they weren't there, there would be 90,000 less jobs without them starting the company. Whether he was there for the whole thing or not.
Take a second company, Dominoes, that company was going under, that would been a lose of 50,000. They came in and turned it around and made it more profitable. Now they have over 100,000 employees. Don't count the original 50,000 jobs, count the second. A company that wouldn't be around if it wasn't for Bain.
Take Sealy, another company that was going under, saved the jobs and expanded their market 100 fold. Now more employees, when they would have gone under.
Romney's math isn't even counting this way, he is counting much less than this but still he says over 100,000 jobs. Show me any candidate that has anywhere close to the job creation that Romney has through Bain and can be credited with those.   ~~~   ~~~   ~~~
