Segment#1: Is Obama blamed for anything ?
Good thing it is "Open Line Friday", call in or send to ELrushbo@EIBnet.com It is a golden opportunity for you to talk about Whitney Houston or anything else — and it is a great career risk for me, turning the pgm over to rank amateurs.
It is Presidents Day three-day holiday weekend, but I'll be here Monday. The staff didn't trick me this year but gave me news up front.
Contraceptions didn't cost much in the olde days, "Just put an aspirin between your knees", said a Santorum supporter to Andrea Mitchell. Now "All Hell" breaks loose. I predicted 'right-on-the-money'.
February 2009 ((Clip-Rush: We have elected a president and have a Congress with extreme Leftists. The Stimulus Bill will do enormous damage down the road; if we don't see unemployment drop in two months, we can declare it a failure; if we don't see bridges and schools being repaired, any improvement won't be from Stimulus.)) They tried to spin it as "the greatest Deal to come down the pike since FDR."
Now, Congress passed Paul Ryan's budget to drastically cut spending next year.
$5.8Trillion in real spending cuts. It came after it became apparent that some in the Republican caucus wanted even more extreme cuts.
After three years, little Timothy Geithner of The Regime admitted they have neither plans nor intentions to cut spending. Had that been a Republican . . .
If Obama is reelected, he will add another $5TRILLION like he already has. We will be living in such a drastically changed America, will it even matter? In December along The Regime just said there are 1.2 million jobs less, in one month. They are not just not being refilled, they are gone for good.
Gallup says the real unemployment is 9% and the CBO says unemployment (with jimmied numbers) will be in the high 8% for a decade.
With the election of Barack Hussein Obama, unemployment started up because owners of small businesses knew what was coming. It went to 10%. Is Obama going to be blamed for anything he has done? Still today, it is all the result of Bush? Obama hasn't done anything positive.
>>> So with nothing to run on, they blame Santorum from 2006.
_____________________________________________________________
Segment#2: USA Cultural rot
Talk about cultural rot; it is safe to say our society today is obsessed with sex. ((Clip of Santorum supporter 'aspirin' comment to Andrea Mitchell, who is left breathless.)) How does Planned Parenthood make their money? From unwanted pregnancy. Go to their website and show it to kids and you'll end up in jail.
"I'm trying to catch my breath from that, Mr Friess, frankly." Andrea Mitchell
> > > And the rest of the Drive-bys went nuts too.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#3: Santorum throws Friess under the bus, often
There is nothing in this stack that catches my attention—no I'm not depressed. We all have these days. This is the third day in 23 years, not caring. Everything happening, like Andrea Mitchell, I predicted.
Mr Las Vegas is going to pump $15million into the Gingrich campaign. It is 'wide open' as far as I'm concerned. The election is about Obama and nothing else. It will be 'pedal-to-the-medal' for all of us.
[Rush plays the Friess clip again.] 53% disagree with the Obama position that contraceptions should be provided for free. I'm picturing Andrea Mitchell with an aspirin between her knees, all ticked off. ((Montage-bashing-Friess: Creepy supporter; bad day for Santorum; PAC guys are creepy.))
What Friess said was innocent and accurate in his day (he looks age 80). Jeremiah Wright said horrible things against America, and Drive-by Media called it 'dirty politics' to point out the Obama sat in his church for 20 years, blessed his children and marriage. "Nothing here, move on."
((Clip-Greta: Will you distance yourself?)) ((Clip-Santorum: It was a stupid and off-color joke.) Off color? What in the world is 'off-color' about Andrea Mitchell putting an aspirin between her knees?
You can get an abortion; you can get condoms; but you can't even get an aspiring in public school without permission from the nurse. My Mother described 'loose women' to David and me as "round heeled" since they just roll over. When I was in Jr HS, someone found a condom on the playground, and they investigated for a week who to suspend. Now they give them away.
>>> All Foster Friess did was have a funny way to describe virtue.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#4: An innocent comment is attacked // Santorum tosses Friess
To boil it all down: Liberals want life without consequences. No problem leaving your family without a Dad; lose your job? Go on Welfare. Sex without consequences.
Foster Friess runs the Friess Family Foundation providing water around the world and earthquake relief. He raised matching $2million for the Tsunami. He has received many humanitarian awards. He has done more for humanity than any Democrat in office, from Barack Obama and on down.
In 1965, 24% of Black infants and 3% of White infants were born to single mothers. By 1990, rates had Blacks 64% and White 18% infants born to unmarried women; and that is still more than 20 years ago. New York Times reports in 2009 that unmarried women gave birth to 40% of infants in USA in 2007.
>>> Friess was just talking about virtue, nothing more.
Rush says that in an election campaign over virtue, Republicans would win.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#6: Progressive Democrats want no solution, everyone dependent
(Theme Music) DbM wants to convince you that the party of Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin hate women; and the party of Clinton and the Kennedy family love women. Do I have that right?
Barack Obama said last week he will force the Catholic Church or the insuring companies will force free give-away contraceptives. Unemployment is still high and Obama approval is at 43%. He just gave everybody $40/mo and this is the thanks he gets?
We have a $99.4TRILLION promise (unfunded liability). "We're stabilizing it but we are not fixing it", says Geithner. ((Clip: We have millions of American retiring every day. We are not coming before you today to say we have a definitive answer . . . what we do say is, we don't like yours.))
Crossing the aisle goes only one way.
This little twerp cheated on his income tax. Democrats don't want a solution. Republicans should not like the payroll tax cut. ((Clip-Democrat-Harkin: A grave mistake in extending the payroll tax cut, and, may I add, not paying for it. It could be the unraveling of Social Security.)) Republicans don't see this also?
The payroll tax is the only way Social Security gets funded. Where are the Republicans on this? All of my lifetime, "Republicans want to kick seniors out of their houses, and take away their Social Security, etc." It has never been true.
Now, Obama and Pelosi are actually doing it. This is the one area of Obama's campaign that he hides who he really is. It banks on life's losers voting for him. You get caught up in the web and your dignity is robbed. Not all, but many.
Tom Harkin is exactly right. Republicans could make this argument and forever rid the notion that 'Republicans want to steal from seniors and ruin their Social Security.' Just point out what funds Social Security and Obama now undercutting it.
((Clip-Santorum-with-Charley-Rose)) He distances himself from Foster Friess. ((Clip-Santorum-going-on-and-on)) That is a good comeback to point out Jeremiah Wright. I just wish Santorum hadn't thrown Friess overboard.
((Clips-Rev-Wright-yelling: Barack knows what it is to live in a country that ... I am sick of Negroes that just don't get it. God **&&^^ America. Chickens have come home to roost.)) We are supposed to ignore that?
Yet, this is 'creepy', 'trashy', and 'stupid': ((Clip Friess and Andrea.))
>>> View Ted Kennedy & Clinton — we are the party that hates women?
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#7: Rush views it an advantage to declare Conservatism
Rev Wright is fine because he is pro-Abortion. He can do and say anything.
State-controlled AP has a story by two women (chick-i-fi-ca-tion) writing 'news'. ((Reading: Santorum is out of step with women in combat. He is wants aspirin for birth control. Even among a religious field, Santorum views stand out. He is a Catholic father of seven and their children are 'home-schooled'.))
> They complain: Santorum has not kept his conservatives views secret.
And yet Rick Santorum doesn't stand up for the innocent Virtue comment.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#8: CBO plays fast-and-fudging with 'unemployment' numbers
Caller-WA: Republicans need to make a strong culture statement. Santorum.
Even our side tries to destroy everyone else on our side. Our value-based culture plays a roll in a faltering economy. Students don't learn. The Liberal government is a major player in culture war.
Democrats need cultural rot, with no consequences, so they can pick up the pieces of things that they break. Elite Republican leadership just doesn't want to go there to object. They would excommunicate Conservatives in the Republican Party if they could.
Why do they feel this way? Because they want to keep their image. They blame Conservatives for giving Liberal Progressive Democrats an issue that doesn't even exist. Establishment Republicans just cringe in embarrassment over what people will think of them.
Caller-OK: Look at the real employment numbers. Jobs are down?
What's hard? Lets say four years ago there were 10million jobs and population remains the same; then you have only 8millioin jobs with the same number chasing them.
There are three levels: (1) still looking; (2) time for Welfare ran out; and (3) those that quit looking. The U-6 number has unemployment at 16%.
>>> Understand the scam that says more are employed.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#9: Obama and The Regime just trim the outside of the job pie
The point is that new jobs are not being created! They are still running out of the 99 weeks. They are still not finding jobs. It is 'rate' vs 'absolute numbers'.
[Rush gives another example with numbers, "easy to understand".]
> This is how you explain %unemployed down and jobs down also.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#10: Rush is kind and patient, teaching uninformed one more time
If the number of jobs doesn't matter in measuring unemployment then why does the Obama Adm keep saying they will create jobs?
>>>>> There are no jobs to fill. Wake Up !
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#11: Preview this: www.apple.com/macosx/Mountain-Lion/
(Music) Figure this out. Am I wrong? Look at the unemployment as a poll. 60,000 households are surveyed each month. Anybody that says they are not looking for work are counted as . . . this doesn't make any sense.
Unemployment rate is coming down based on fewer people applying for benefits. They are playing all kinds of games with the numbers. If you believe the government in everything, then trying to explain it is viewed as a trick.
The rate that you walk (reported in BBC) relates to your risk in dementia, as does your strength of grip. I walk slow because I despise walking. If I am going anyplace I ride, even on the golf course. You would think I would walk faster to get it over.
Nancy Pelosi thinks that federal employees pay unfairly in. The U6 number counts everybody, the U3 is what is reported (leaving people out that have stopped looking.) Why? This is the tradition of decades.
Those not looking for work are certainly unemployed—they are not working.
Something unprecedented this week: Apple announces operating system from Lion to "Mountain Lion" and some in press didn't leak it. They did not give it to The New York Times. Back in 2007, the iPhone hit. Walter Isaacson wrote that Steve Jobs wanted to help The New York Times.
Then The New York Times started doing big hit pieces against Apple and their labor practices in China. Jobs had passed away. I recognized it as an attack on capitalism to help Obama. Apple is the most successful company in America.
How does Apple now feel about their buddies at The New York Times feel now? The NYTimes David Pouge has written favorably. Jobs didn't like Murdock and Fox. He made a joke that he had to 'hide the knives' because his wife really didn't like Murdock and Fox.
The new iPad 3 coming out will have very high resolution. The new operating system Mountain Lion is the iPad running on your Mac, including 'mirroring' to project to your TV. Use Apple iTV and whatever is on your screen will be on your large HDTV screen. Hello, free episodes. It will be in late summer.
For the first time, Wall Street Journal is favored, and The New York Times was left out.
>>> And they are not happy about it (at NYTimes).
Rush says there will be a March 7th meeting [after Super Tuesday].

Seg#13: Where's the warmth and love from Liberals for Foster Friess ?
Major, major dollars for Obama. Susie Thompson Buell in San Francisco, but she is keeping her checkbook closed. ((Reading: He has not come through on his environmental promises.)) God Lord, lady, he has thrown money down the Solyndra rat hole and ruined the economy with Green Jobs; what more do you want?
Caller-gal: Liberal women are humorless! I don't mind being pregnant, barefoot, and in the kitchen. My husband and their Dad was greeted warmly when he came home from the office. Where is the warmth and love from Liberals?
You have nailed it here: they are constantly angry. And furthermore, they constantly look for reasons to be offended. They want to share their misery. My childhood was like a Norman Rockwell painting. Liberals laugh and chuckle at that.
Snerdley asks why Liberals wouldn't want 'normal'. They looked at the Happy Days as phony, papering over discrimination. The American Left despises traditional values. Are Liberals capable of being proud of America?
Of course there are a few, but Liberal leaders are duping their base. They are happy to live in luxury and keep others on Welfare. They blame the structure of the country. There is redemption possible. They search for 'meaning'.
You want to matter, then buy some stupid little car that will save the planet, and when a tax increase comes along, gladly pay it. They want everyone miserable like they are—that is their mission in life.
Their existence is base on finding flaws—look at me and what I have noticed. I feel good now. No, you don't have to solve anything, just complain. Just think of you as some victim from an invisible force and you are owed something. I know more about what they think than they do. That is why they hate me and say so.
>>> Liberals don't like their methods and thinking pointed out.
_____________________________________________________________
Seg#14: Think of over a million USA pre-born citizens. What of them?
There's Obama speaking at Washington state, at Boeing. NLRB told Boeing to not build in South Carolina, a union-free state. Obama's National Labor Relations Board told Boeing they couldn't . Now they host him? They have gotten a taste of what The Regime can do.
[[Go to LegalZoom.com during "Start Your Own Business" month.]]
Caller: Weekend draws near. Underlying seam with Santorum, "You will see a theocracy"; but we wanted mosques and Muslims? Iran is a theocracy.
People on our side are afraid to point it out. Is there a bigger theocracy than Liberalism? Abortion is their ideology. A Liberal is a Liberal first.
>>>>>>> Abortion is huge to Liberals.
> Jeremiah Wright is OK with Democrats because he supports Abortion.
Rate of abortion in America is over a million a year, 1.3million/yr.

From the Rush Limbaugh Morning Update: "Sue Failure"
On America's left coast, San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera is suing the federal agency that overseas gas pipeline safety. It "abjectly failed," he says, to prevent a fatal explosion in a San Francisco suburb in 2010. The San Bruno explosion killed eight people and destroyed almost 40 homes.
A report cited lax federal enforcement of safety rules on the part of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, which overseas the pipelines owned by Pacific Gas and Electric. Although PG&E was also blamed, the utility seems to have escaped the wrath of city attorney Herrera.
The Feds failed; they didn't oversee their responsibilities and they must be held to account. Fine. But I have a question for Mr. Herrera and the other liberals applauding this lawsuit. If failure is now fair game, if a government agency can be sued for failing to effectively discharge its mission, what's your next target? When, for instance, are you going to sue ICE, and the Department of Homeland Security?
No one can claim with a straight face that our borders are being protected, and our immigration laws are being enforced. We have failure on a grand scale, failure that directly affects San Francisco, which has to spend millions of dollars to support illegal immigration as a so-called "sanctuary city."
This is as close to an open-and-shut case you'll find. But Dennis Herrera, I am willing to bet, will never file that lawsuit. Because failure is always acceptable, if it benefits the liberal agenda.

Quote Gems from Rush Limbaugh dot com:
"Something tells me that, if the upcoming election could be decided on social issues, the Republicans could win that in a landslide because we're on the right side of the culture war. The problem is we're scared to death of it!"
"Look around, look at the abysmal state of our culture. We are in a period of cultural depravity and rot, and everybody knows it. Are we not?"
"Folks, I am not a seer. I'm not Nostradamus. I just know liberals, that's all. I'm able, on December 20, to tell you what is going to be in the news on February 16th because I know liberals, because I know the media."
"Darrell Issa was conducting a hearing on whether or not the Obamacare mandate on religious institutions was permissible under the Constitution. The Democrats are saying it was a hearing on contraception! It wasn't. Does anybody really believe the US Congress had a committee hearing on the principle, the notion, and the idea of contraception? Of course not."
"Nobody can predict what's actually going to be happening in the real world the next day or the next week, but you can predict what liberals are going to do, regardless what reality is."
"When did it become the federal government's job to make sure school lunches taste good? Once again, this is about control."
"The whole point of bringing up contraception and trying to make it look like the Republicans want to ban birth control is simply something to excite the Democrat base, which has been depressed as it can be because their president has done a rotten job."
"There are no new jobs being created. People are continuing to leave the workforce.
The numbers of people who used to be in the workforce when he took office versus now is down by two to three million, if not more. The only reason there's an 8.2 or 8.3% unemployment number is because they have just erased the number of jobs available to be secured. It's called the labor force participation rate."
"All the Democrats have is pages from their playbook that have worked in the past. They cannot run on this record. They don't want to run on this record."
"Because of the bailout and the special deals, General Motors does not pay any income tax. They pay no corporate tax for ten years on whatever profits they earn."
"The White House knows that their biggest threat is conservatism. Their biggest threat is if the conservatives took over the Republican Party. Their biggest threat is people voting the way they live. They can't allow that."
"I don't know what percentage, but a portion of the population will believe, at the end of the day today or whenever they watch the news, that the Republicans wanted to have a hearing on banning contraception. That's what the news will be."
"We've got Barack Obama in office just over three years, his budgets are fiscal disasters year after year after year, you doubt that it's on purpose? Seventy-five thousand dollar grants to sign up more food stamp recipients?"
"The media can succeed in discrediting people that they disagree with. They haven't been able to destroy me, but they can discredit me with people who don't take the time to listen themselves."
"The Democrats have realized that they can cobble together winning electoral coalitions by offering the middle class a ton of free stuff. This is not a 'safety net' for the poor and downtrodden, mind you. It's more free stuff for people who already have more cars, TVs, and phones than they can afford."
